Lovely hotel some rude staff
Loved everything apart from some of staff in restaurant especially women called Anna and little manager bold head very rude, treated me awful because I had disabilities. Reported it but doubt anything happened.

Could be better
Can't see what all the other 5* reviews are seeing - I'm not fussy but this is never 5*. Good bits - Rooms were perfect for us, comfortable bed, hot shower, cleaned nearly everyday. We were AI, plentiful food and drinks (including bottles of 0.0% beer) but the restaurant didn't seem to be able to keep food hot and always seemed to be something you wanted that had runout and not replenished. Unless you go for freshly cooked, but always a big queue. just not organised. So many tiles around the pools and snack bar are loose. There are no parasols, just fixed shades with sunbeds under. Top pool had loose tiles in it and was dirty. Never had a problem getting a sunbed, we would be there just after breakfast, but so many selfish people hogging them with towels and not using them (just like most places) Entertainment was possibly the worst I've seen.

Fabulous value, hopefully will return
Staying here as I write. We arrived and got off on the wrong foot. Our room was a fair way from reception , our key cards didn't work and the Seaview we were expecting was obscured by trees and plants. We went back to reception to whinge.... as you do? Well , in the warm light of day, we began our holiday. ( see later) The room was lovely and clean, yes, a little tired, but big comfy bed and a good size bathroom. We've had lovely room service with fresh towels everyday. The food here is amazing! If you were served it in a restaurant and not in a self service environment, I'm sure anyone would be impressed. The eating area is also well serviced and kept clean. Apparently it can get busy and we considered upgrading our AI to Royal service. This was not necessary, we found no need queue and never felt crowded. Sunbeds have been VERY easy to obtain at any time of day, there are plenty. Yes, there are many broken tiles around the place and some of the woodwork needs attention, hey don't let this spoil your stay. It simply isn't worth it. The good here far outweighs the bad. Lo and behold! They sent maintenance to cut back the trees we now have a lovely view. Thank you . Don't let bad reviews hold you back. This hotel is a great value find for my Wife and I and we are seriously hoping to return in the spring. Thank you to the whole team at Occidental Playa we are having a wonderful holiday. The beach is only a good stretch of the legs away and what a beautiful beach it is. Lifeguards all day. The main shopping area in Morro Jable is probably half an hour's walk. A good bus service is just outside the hotel. I've paid a lot more money for a 5 star hotel and been disappointed. This hotel has, with the exception of our first night, left us with big smiles of contentment every day so far.

Holiday
The hotel is nice, the room was very clean and quiet, and the pools were clean. The food is varied, everyone will find something for themselves. The waiters do their best to quickly clear dirty plates and keep the tables ready for the next guests. The reception staff was rather unfriendly. I paid for a late check-out, yet my key cards stopped working after 12 pm, which was very frustrating because I had to ask the cleaning lady to let me in to collect my luggage.
