This great beach hotel, built in 2003, is very nicely located in the tourist centre of Amadores, it is approximately 1 km from the local sandy beach and its crystal clear waters. The local promenade is a great place where guests will find a variety of leisure possibilities. Convenient public transport links are very close to the hotel. Numerous boutiques and shops, restaurants and a wide range of bars can be found in the surroundings. This is a lively place to spend active holidays by the sea.

Bloody Room Card!!!!!
What can I say, I still have the words "room card" ringing in my ears. Every time you wanted anything from a water, Fanta to a 3 course meal ( not that you could find 3 courses in one night to eat) all they keep asking was "room card" even though you get wristbands on day one, not sure what the wristband does. Im a foodie, but the food was not far off awful, not much selection at all. Even things like pasta were not cooked properly. so between that and the drinks it was quite disappointing. The rest of Hotel was ok, it isn't going to set the world alight, nice views, normal rooms, pool was ok, bit boring for kids, but ok. While families are welcome, there didn't seem to be as much for teenage children compared with other resorts we've visited. Overall, the fantastic location and beautiful views are the highlight, but after 3 days of angry looking staff and "can I have your room Card" the view gets boring (photo attached to save you a trip), but the disappointing food, limited all-inclusive drinks, and lack of a strong family focus mean we wouldn't choose to stay here again.

GOOD AND BAD.
Good :-
The view and location is amazing. Food is generally tasty. Its generally clean.
Bad :-
Its 40 degred outside and in the hotel there is no air-conditioning when having a drink or watching the show.
Service is generally poor in the lobby bar and the main bar downstairs. It can take up to an hour to get a drink, then it is usually wrong. The staff in the lobby bar can be rude by ignoring you.
This hotel is not all inclusive. I must have been told 20 times this is not part of you all inclusive. For example, my daughter wanted to have a milkshake which is milk, Ice, sauce and maybe icecream. Sal these are in the all inclusive but mix them together and u have to pay 5 euro.
The quality of food in the all inclusive is no where near the standard of the food you HAVE to pay for.
If you've booked this hotel on the basis it has a spa, like we did you will be massively disappointed as its under reconstruction, which we wasn't made aware of before travelling. This was a major disappointment.
The rules around the pool aren't enforced. Ie. Reserving sunbed is forbidden, but it happens every day.
Overall I wouldn't return or recommend.

Gloria Palace at its Best
I’m not sure what will please some people reading some reviews. Came home last week after an amazing family holiday from 7 months to nearly 70 year old. Stunning location and views; quality food offer; friendly staff; excellent cleanliness and ok entertainment. All inclusive drinks were excellent and the only problem we had over reception was quickly and satisfactorily resolved. This is a hotel that cares about its guests and is why we have visited for over 15 years. Thank you Gloria Palace for another wonderful holiday.

Awful hotel avoid
This hotel is an absolute disgrace filthy lifts with sick all over the floor filthy tiles around the pool bellow average standard food our family was here to celebrate my mothers birthday we emailed in advance and was assured they would make the day special for her did this happen no they actually ruined it for her firstly the restaurant manager the lady with the stinking attitude was rude we had reserved a table which was basically a table with a reserved sign flung on it we paid 200 euros for day passes for the family and for a cake for my mum as soon as we sat down we were shouted at as we asked for a drink and the manager running over with a card machine the staff attitude is terrible my mother and fathers room was dull horrible decor and constant water falling into the balcony NOT WORTH THE MONEY AND CERTAINLY NOT A PLACE TO CELEBRATE A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY the hotel response was basically we used the day pass get over it
