This Hotel sits in Las Palmas, capital of one the important famous Canarias Islands, Grand Canaria. It is 23 km distance from Gran Canaria airport approximately 30 minutes car ride. Spectating a beautiful sunset and swimming in crystal-clear water is a must in the beautiful Las Canteras beach right in front of this hotel, this beach is boarded by a natural reef providing protection to swimmers. Numerous attractions within the area invite travellers to explore this fantastic zone. Shopping malls at a short stroll distance for those shopping lovers. Travellers can learn about local biodiversity at the near aquarium, only 600 metres distance. Modern and distinguished, this is one of the best hotels in the zone to stay as it offers excellent cosy rooms with the best ocean views and equipped with parquet floor and tv. The spectacular pools in this establishment are the best amenities this hotel has; it is worth immersing in each one of them as they are unique. Wellness and spa centre complement the list of excellent services.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
From the first day the hotel and its staff were amazing. We arrived very late into the night however there was a meal waiting for the restaurant , had we wanted a bite when we arrived - nice touch.
Breakfast and dinner was incredible there was always a very range of food that even the pickiest Eaters with also a grill cooking eggs, meets and fish daily both for breakfast and dinner. The kitchen area and it's staff were incredible, it was always fully stopped with hot food, very clean and the staff were very attentive.
The room was also brilliant i lovely size shower and fully working air conditioning as well as a balcony although I imagine a Seaview balcony would be even better.
The hotel is located right on the beach so you can see people constantly walking up and down the sea front and it also is a nice place to go for a run in the morning. The hotel is also within 10 minutes away of the aquarium /museum which are both excellent and well valued attractions.
The spa and gym were used daily by us and the spa especially is incredible. Hydro massage bed, salt pool and sauna being the high lights - in fact everything at the spa was quality as was the roof top swimming pool.
The staff especially Spartan and his colleague (brown hair possibly called Victor) were so helpful and nice.
Night entertainment was provided by a gentle backdrop of guitar/saxophone which was nice to listen to whilst having an evening drink.
Top top stay, very good for the elderly too with lifts available everywhere and it being on flat ground and the seafront being flat.
5/5. Top stay. Thanks guys
The hotel is in a superb location on the beach front of Las Canteras beach. It is definitely worth booking a sea front room, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is very well furnished, large rooms and very comfortable albeit becoming a little dated. The food is good and buffet breakfast has a large selection including show cooking. The Marina bar is again superbly located and the restaurant is a lovely location with private tables surrounded by vegetation. The staff are generally very helpful. Although they failed when we were leaving. I have a mobility scooter and my partner is over 80; we asked if we could have help with our luggage; IT WAS REFUSED. EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED! This let down some lovely staff and what would have been an enjoyable experience!
Unfortunately we were not able to make our flight to Gran Canaria and therefore as a matter of courtesy, immediately informed the hotel of our non attendance. Having then emailed the hotel on two occasions over a period of 7 weeks, I am STILL waiting on a response or even an acknowledgment of my enquiry to confirm their cancellation policy, which indicated we are due a partial refund. The hotel clearly has no interest at all in us as a paying customer, despite having taken full payment for our stay.
Extremely Disappointing Start to Our Family Vacation
We are currently staying at Bull Reina Isabel & Spa for five nights with our family, who have traveled from different countries to spend time together. What should have been a memorable family holiday has unfortunately turned into a very disappointing experience after just the first night.
We booked three suites, and two of them had significant air conditioning issues.
In our suite, the bedroom air conditioning did not work throughout the night, leaving both my 10-year-old daughter and me unable to sleep after a long day of international travel. My parents, who are in their 70s, also experienced air conditioning problems in their suite. The vent directly above their bed was not functioning, and the hotel’s temporary solution was to place a portable air conditioning unit in the bathroom with the drainage hose emptying into the Jacuzzi tub. This caused water to overflow and flood the bathroom, creating yet another inconvenience.
The following morning, the air conditioning in my room was finally repaired. I do want to acknowledge Sarah at reception and the air conditioning technician, both of whom were courteous, professional, and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, their efforts cannot make up for the uncomfortable first night we experienced.
What has been even more frustrating is the lack of management involvement. We have repeatedly asked to speak with the manager, Alfredo, but each time we are simply told that a message will be passed along and that someone will contact us. So far, no one has.
Customer service throughout the hotel has been extremely disappointing. While a few employees have been helpful, most have been dismissive and lacking in basic hospitality. In particular, Rosi at reception was consistently rude, spoke over guests rather than listening, and showed very little willingness to resolve concerns professionally.
To compensate for the inconvenience, the hotel sent wine and chocolate-covered strawberries to both affected rooms. However, my parents received only the strawberries and an ice bucket—without the wine. When my father asked what the ice bucket was for, Rosi initially claimed it was the ice he had requested earlier that day, despite having previously told him to go to the restaurant and get it himself. She later admitted that the wine had simply been forgotten.
We still have four nights remaining at this hotel. Unfortunately, every comparable property in the area is fully booked, leaving us with no choice but to stay.
I sincerely hope someone from senior management reads this review and reaches out to make things right. My family and I travel extensively around the world, and I have personally worked in luxury hospitality, including with Four Seasons, as well as several other international hotel brands. Because of that experience, I understand that problems can happen. What defines a hotel is how those problems are handled. Sadly, the level of customer service and lack of accountability we have experienced here has been among the worst I have encountered, especially from a hotel of this standard.
Had a ten day stay at the BRI Hotel early June 2026. Booked a sea view suite via Jet2Holidays. Arrived around 9pm and received a very warm welcome from the reception staff, who advised that we should head directly for the restaurant as dinner finished at 9:30pm. Dinner was a self service buffet, with wide selection of cold meats, cheeses and accompaniments for starters, a range of hot dishes with vegetables for main course, and a further selection of deserts, fruit or ice cream to finish. Tea and coffee was available via the self service machines which produce decaf and regular coffee in a variety of coffee styles (two machines were available, one with standard strength coffee, the other with stronger coffee). In addition to the main courses was a grill-to-order station where the duty chef prepared fish, meat and vegetables. On arrival at our room we found this to be very large, with a king sized bed with tv in a raised area, a sitting area with a further tv, refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities, a large bathroom with shower enclosure, toilet and£ bidet enclosure, twin basins, two large wardrobes (with safe) and a large corner style bath tub. The room was nicely decorated with tiled flooring throughout. We found the bed to be quite firm but very comfortable. Opening the sliding door out onto the balcony we found two beach chairs, side table and two beach loungers, each with comfortable cushions. As well as bathroom linen two beach/pool towels are provided which can be exchanged for fresh for a minor fee at reception. Sun loungers and umbrellas are also provided free of charge on the beach just across the adjacent promenade. The room was serviced daily, with regular fresh linens, and 5h3 public areas were always clean and well presented. Breakfast is provided in the restaurant, with self service arrangement for most dishes, although the grill station was open for fresh eggs, omelettes etc. Overall we had a great time at BRI, and will likely return in the near future. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Overall we had a wonderful holiday
