Disastrous experience for a 5-star hotel (Royal Hideaway). Pure insult
On the night of July 31st, the hotel hosted a massive party with deafening, professional-grade club music that blasted until 2:00 AM. Sleep was completely impossible, the walls were literally vibrating. The night reception utterly failed to resolve the situation, laughed it off, and didn't even apologize. The situation was so severe that we had to call the emergency services (112) and the local police 7 times, but nobody showed up. At check-out, the management tried to brush us off with a ridiculous 50 EUR discount on extra services. This is a joke and a total insult for a premium luxury brand. I was forced to file an official government complaint (Hoja de Reclamaciones) signed and stamped by the hotel (see attached photo). This case has already been officially escalated to the Defensor del Pueblo in Madrid (Case №26086852) for police inaction, and a formal complaint is heading to the Consumer Protection Office (OMIC).
If you want to sleep and be treated with respect for your money, avoid this place. Disgraceful management for Barceló Group.

Nicest hotel we have ever stayed at 😊
We stayed at the Santa Catalina in June 2026 and I can honestly say it was the best holiday ever. The location is perfect for exploring all areas of the city and the hotel is a short taxi ride from the airport. We enjoyed walking into the city, but taxis are readily available to and from the hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel was one of peace and tranquility. A perfect place to relax. We booked a suite which was beautifully appointed with a gorgeous terrace. Comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom. The housekeeping staff were brilliant and the hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room gave us VIP access to a wonderful rooftop bar and pool during the day which was amazing. Every single hotel staff member we encountered was so friendly and went out of their way to help . I celebrated a birthday and my retirement whilst there and the lovely staff members made me feel very special. ❤️ We stayed in a half board basis and the food was superb. Amazing breakfast buffet and the various hotel restaurants were brilliant. The tasting menu at the Poemas restaurant was out of this world. I've run out of superlatives to describe this amazing place. Pure luxury. We have booked to stay again at the same time next year and will be staying for longer. Thank you, Santa Catalina and your wonderful staff members. See you next year! 😊
Pleasurable stay at Santa Catalina
Luxurios hotel with great and helpful staff and good wellness. Amazing breakfast with spanish specialities and kind staff as well. The only downsides are location far from city center and restaurants. And the parking is paid.

Absolutely Amazing! Staff is Fantastic! Eduardo is a kind gentle soul who made my experience so special! Massage , massage, get a massage! Fabulous! I came to assist friends house hunt and found the location excellent with plenty of options nearby. The Aquatic Center is across the street with 2 x 50 m pools and 1 x 25 m pool. You are able to obtain passes to go workout. The grounds are amazing! Beach and shopping nearby. Super safe!
