The Club Maspalomas Suites & Spa Hotel is located in Campo Internacional, 2,6 km from Maspalomas beach and from the important avenue and commercial area of Meloneras. The Hotel complex have undergone a complete renovation, therefore, new buildings and rooms have been built, but most of the wide open green areas have been respected. This new product is targeted to a more demanding market and we have specialized in the “Only Adults” concept. Without a doubt, the privacy offered by each of the rooms in this horizontal hotel is one of its great attractions. Each room has a garden area where you can sunbathe and relax in hammocks for exclusive use, as well as a perfectly furnished terrace to enjoy the peace and comfort of this paradise. Having guaranteed the maximum level of comfort and relaxation for guests, we did not want to deprive them of the technological pleasures that these times offer: from a careful air conditioning and lighting, to the most advanced internet connection network installed in a hotel in the Canary Islands or the latest Smart TV Hospitality system on the market. With views over the Maspalomas Dunes and Campo Internacional, the outdoor Fitness & SPA area offers everything the body and mind need to reach a state of total relaxation. Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and a complete swimming pool with hydromassage hammocks, hydrotherapy jets, steam bath, Finnish sauna, ice fountain and themed showers, as well as a wide range of treatments. The hotel has a large and complete gymnasium to meet the expectations of the most demanding of guests. The fitness area, as well as the cardiovascular equipment, will satisfy the needs of both amateur and professional sportsmen and women. During your stay you will be able to enjoy both the à la carte lunch and the buffet-style dinner, with avant-garde and modern touches that make them unique and delicious. The hotel offers its guests a free shuttle service to Maspalomas beach.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
My boyfriend and I stayed here a week in July and loved every second. Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of fizz and parked our hire car outside free or charge. Our suite was very clean and was cleaned everyday. The bed was HUGE and the pillows were incredible. The pool was lovely, the beds are comfortable and there was never an issue with availability. We booked bed and breakfast and the breakfast choice was insane! Breads, pastries, jams, cooked breakfast, freshly cooked eggs, fruit, yoghurts, hams, cheeses and fizz - spoilt for choice. We did book in for the Italian one night which we could do even though we we were not half board and it was sooo delicious - highly recommend!
All staff were very friendly and work incredibly hard.
A coach is offered several times throughout the day to take you to the beach at no cost and walking to the beach front is around a 15/20 minute walk.
I even said to my partner, I would come back on my own and go half board! We will definitely return, I am already looking at booking again :)
First of all, we had a really lovely holiday at Club Maspalomas Suites & Spa. The hotel was spotlessly clean, aesthetically beautiful, and we really enjoyed the pool areas. Our favourite was definitely the rooftop spa pool, which was especially lovely in the evenings. Our room was modern, spacious and clean, with a mini fridge and a lovely outdoor seating area backing onto the pool. We also really enjoyed having our own day bed just outside the room, which made it so convenient to pop back for a drink or to cool off before returning to the pool. The hotel itself was peaceful and relaxing, making it a great place unwind.
We also enjoyed several of the evening entertainment acts, with our favourites being the ABBA Tribute, The Dukes Band, and the jazz singer. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of choice. Unfortunately, we didn't feel the same about the evening meal, which I'll come onto later.
Overall, we had a relaxing holiday, enjoyed plenty of sunshine, and stayed in a beautiful hotel. However, as a young couple in our mid-twenties, we personally wouldn't return, and here's why.
Firstly, the location is quite isolated. We usually like to stay somewhere where we can easily walk to local restaurants, shops, or attractions, but this hotel is fairly secluded unless you have a car or use taxis or buses. We did hire a car for a day through Orlando Car Hire, which was a quick and easy process thanks to the hotel's partnership with them.
Before travelling, I had read reviews suggesting there was plenty nearby. While that's true if you have a car, it's less convenient on foot. The hotel does provide a complimentary shuttle bus to the beach, but it only runs three times in the morning between 9:15am and 11:30am. It would be great if there was an additional service after midday. Likewise, the last shuttle back is around 4:30pm, meaning you can't really enjoy the beach into the evening without paying for a taxi.
We also walked to the nearby HiperDino supermarket one day, which took around 15 minutes via a slightly unusual route. This ended up being an essential trip, as we wanted to stock up on drinks and snacks due to the hotel's pricing.
This brings me to my next point. We found the food and drinks at the hotel to be incredibly expensive. As far as I'm aware, the hotel only offers half board, so lunch has to be purchased separately. One afternoon we ordered just one pizza and one burger with chips. The meals were €18 each, bringing the total to €36 for lunch before we'd even ordered any drinks. Drinks were also very expensive, comparable to London prices. Given the hotel's isolated location, it did feel as though guests had little choice but to pay these prices unless they left the resort, which is why we ended up stocking up on drinks and snacks from the supermarket instead.
As I mentioned earlier, we were also disappointed with the evening buffet. The quality and taste of the food we tried was always good, but the variety was surprisingly limited, particularly when it came to the main courses. There were plenty of salad options, cold meats, cheeses, vegetables and side dishes, but very few actual main dishes to choose from each evening. We found ourselves eating very similar meals throughout the week because there simply wasn't much variety. The dessert selection was also very small. We've stayed in several 3, 4, and 5-star hotels over the years, and this was honestly the smallest evening buffet selection we've experienced. It was probably the biggest disappointment of our stay.
Finally, we felt the hotel could offer a little more daytime entertainment, particularly because of its secluded location. There were some activities available, such as aqua gym sessions and workshops. I attended the Paint, Wine & Cheese activity, but I had expected it to be a guided painting session. Instead, it was simply 45 minutes of free painting with a few pieces of cheese and a glass of wine. I also really enjoyed the aqua gym, but it would have been nice if this ran more frequently during the summer season.
It might also be nice if the hotel introduced some additional activities, such as quizzes, bingo, shuffleboard or darts. I appreciate that may not be the atmosphere the hotel is aiming for, but given its location, having a few more optional activities would have enhanced the experience.
That said, I can't fault the staff. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, attentive and welcoming. A special mention goes to Rubi, who was particularly warm, thoughtful and made us feel genuinely looked after throughout our stay.
Overall, we genuinely had a lovely holiday, and there are many things the hotel does exceptionally well. The facilities are beautiful, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the staff are fantastic. However, when compared with other hotels of a similar standard and price, we felt it fell slightly short in a few key areas, particularly the location, value for money, the variety of the evening buffet, and the range of activities. While we wouldn't return ourselves, I can absolutely understand why it appeals to guests looking for a peaceful, relaxing escape.
Second visit to this hotel; something we don't generally do. We found it to be as brilliant and professional as the first time. All the staff are friendly, cheerful and polite , and always happy to provide us with the best possible experience for our hard earned holiday. Special thanks to Diego and Maya who were always on hand to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible customer service.
The hotel is exceptionally clean and beautifully laid out, peaceful and relaxing. Always plenty of sunbeds available and a lovely relaxed feel around the pool. The spa pool is especially lovely. The perfect place to return to after a day travelling around the island, out at sea or from the beach. The food, both breakfast and dinner was always fresh with plenty of choice for everyone. Meat, fish and shellfish are cooked on 'demand' at dinner so they're always fresh and perfectly done. They're always loads of starters, fresh salads and desserts too, all wonderfully presented with real care and attention to detail. Evening entertainment was laid on every evening and the quality was always excellent. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh bath, hand towels everyday. We were provided with dressing gowns too. The hotel also provides beach towels for the sunbeds and spa which are freely available next to the pool. Another small detail is they have an ice machine and freely available water from the drinking fountains which saves a small fortune in constantly buying & carting bottled water from the local Super Dino..
They also provide a free bus shuttle to the beach there times a day. There is also a taxi rank immediately outside the hotel if you wish to go into Playa de Ingles and visit the Yumbo and CITA centre for a fare of 6-7 euros. We'd definitely recommend a visit to Puerto Mogan via the bus stop right outside the hotel, best day to go is Friday if you want to catch market day. Overall - a superb hotel, well deserving of its ranking as the No1 hotel in Maspalomas. The most important thing for us was how the hotel 'felt' when returning to it after a day touring in the car, being out at sea on a boat trip, or at the beach or a very late evening in P.D.I. To us - a sanctuary of calmness and serenity. One other thing - if you've never been to Gran Canaria it's a superb place to visit we'd absolutely recommend hiring a car and touring the island. We used Zest Car rental as our broker (UK based) who always provide a 2nd driver free. The interior of the island is spectacular and breathtaking and relatively easily accessible in a car with lots of places to stop with fantastic vistas, beaches and of course fantastic food.
This is our second visit to this lovely place the first visit being 4 years ago. On arrival at our bungalow we were greeted by a bottle of bubbly and some chocolates and a note saying “welcome back”. How lovely is that. As we arrived late there was also a salad box each and also plates with a selection of meats, cheeses and bread rolls and also cakes, much more than we could eat in one sitting. The place is spotless as it was last time and the deluxe double room we had is ample size with a very comfortable big bed and also choice of pillows. It is also very quiet. The food was extremely good at both breakfast and dinner with an extremely relaxed atmosphere wherever you went on the complex. We just love this place.
Our 6th visit which says it all. What else can i say that i have not already, or shall i just remind anyone reading what a delight it is to revisit this hotel.
From the Executive transfer arranged by the hotel, arriving in around 20-25 minutes from the airport and being welcomed 'home' by Pedro who we have gotten to know over these years in reception, and gratefully receiving an ice cold flute of Prosseco. opening the door to our Deluxe room we are again welcomed by a nice message 'Welcome Home' and some gifts provided.
The stay has been fantastic and this time we spent a full 14 nights and pure relaxation which was needed, and the staff always go above and beyond to make your stay as uneventful as possible. Special mention (forgive the spelling), Richard, Eva, Colleta and Rubi who all made us feel relaxed. Then we have Vesela who along with Mila made us feel very comfortable, and lastly (there are many more staff unmentioned, but you all are fantastic), Diago who we have known now for 6 years, and who sadly was leaving for a time.. he will be sadly missed, but 'you never know' ?
So, Food excellent as ever, the amenities superb and the attention to detail in keeping all the areas clean and tidy, and bug credit to the groundsman who you know work tirelessy and are a credit to the hotel.
Lastly, Ivan - a special note: You have an amazing hotel and it is so nice to see how all the staff look up to you and respect.
We hope to see you soon,
