The property also offers delicious delights along with agreeable surroundings. The spending rooms are nicely decorated with soothing colours and come equipped with all the amenities needed for a pleasant and unforgettable stay.

Upgraded and it was well worth it !
We had booked a "Unique" Junior suite with Jet 2. Unfortunately our balcony was on an internal corner and due to the heatwave ,{36 Degrees }, it was stifling. However we talked with reception about the option for upgrading to a senior suite. This was a very positive experience and the ladies handling it were superb. After a discussion with the manager we were offered a discounted deal to upgrade to a senior suite, and once we viewed the room , we were delighted to make the change. This suite was considerably larger with a large open balcony and superb view. The overall level of service from every member of staff throughout the hotel was exceptional., but a special mention to Ainhoa on the front desk who went above and beyond. This is a great hotel in a superb location within a wonderful resort.

Change of allergy policy
Firstly I want to say that the architecture and atmosphere remain amazing, as well as the overall hospitality. I just want to note I thought it was disappointing that the Volcan Pool (our favourite) turned out to be closed for the whole month of september because of an Audi event without any prior notice.
That being said, we specifically returned to Baobab a second time because of their excellent allergy policy. I have celiac disease (severe gluten allergy) and have several other food allergies, so eating safely while travelling can be difficult. They use a red card clearly listing my allergens, and I would previously receive an allergen-friendly menu in the morning to choose from. In the evening, this meal would be prepared immediately upon arrival, separately in the kitchen to avoid cross-contamination. This meant my partner and I could eat at roughly the same time. It was the first hotel where I could eat safely without getting sick, because I wasn't expected to eat from the buffet.
Sadly, a couple of days into our stay this year, the policy was abruptly changed. This caused a lot of confusion among both the staff and myself. Under the new policy, I was expected to eat from the buffet, with waiters (who also seemed more avoidant to help me out of confusion) pointing out which dishes supposedly didn't contain my allergens. However, a buffet is inherently not safe from cross-contamination, so I had to explain to multiple people every evening that I could not eat from it. The options they offered on the buffet were also extremely limited and those few trays with vegetables and plain rice looked the same every day.
For the first time in my life, I filed a complaint. I have sadly gotten used to receiving my food way later than my partner in restaurants and being very restricted in variation, but I couldn't accept being expected to eat unsafe food when it was previously done so well it was our reason for coming back. It turned out guest relations wasn't even aware that the policy had changed. Once it was confirmed, I was told to ask for a manager every evening so that something could be prepared safely in the kitchen. Honestly, this was a real hassle compared with the previous system, but when manager Malika (or Marcos) was there, they genuinely tried their best to give me a proper meal like last year, and I truly appreciated their efforts!
Unfortunately, they weren't always there. On those evenings, I often felt helpless and like a burden while trying to get something safe to eat. After finding someone to help, asking and explaining, and then waiting up to 40 min, I would end up with boiled vegetables, dry rice and some plain chicken, or gluten-free pasta with plain tomato sauce. At that point, I would simply give up and accept that this was my dinner. It made dinner feel like a gamble and made me nervous and stressed about going.
So, for anyone with severe food allergies: please be aware that the current system requires a lot more asking, explaining and advocating for yourself than before. If cross-contamination isn't a concern for you, this may be less of an issue. However, be aware that the listed ingredients at the buffet are not always accurate either, if it's listed at all.

Wonderful hotel but upgrade to room required
Beautiful hotel with lots of excellent facilities but a couple of improvements needed. Positives Hotel, pools, breakfast buffet and ambiance were fantastic and I would definitely recommend. Very comfortable bed, had a great nights sleep. Negatives Room needed slight upgrade. A couple of loose/broken sockets. The room was very dark with the only mirror placed in the bathroom area so it was far too dark to apply makeup. Needs a mirror closer to the balcony where there is natural light. Also needs a full length mirror. No tea/coffee making facilities. A kettle was provided when requested but no cups/spoons or milk/coffee sachets. Would expect this in a 5* hotel. Have stayed in the Faro and Costa Meloneras where these facilities were provided as standard

Beautiful Hotel, but that's about it...
Booked this hotel mostly because of how beautiful it was and all of the pools and amenities looked amazing. It's in a great location with shops/bars & restaurants and a short walk to the beach, it has everything really.
Upon arrival, the hotel looked amazing, we arrived about 11:30am, haven't experienced this before but unfortunately our room wasn't going to be ready till 3pm. They held onto our suitcase and we managed to find the buffet restaurant downstairs, because we didn't have our room yet it was €25 each, we were hungry so we paid and tried out the buffet. It was so small, way smaller than any buffet we have been to before, the food quality seemed good there just wasn't much to choose from. There's a whole area of counters that are closed down as if the buffet used to be a lot bigger and they have downsized it. Both buffet restaurants serve the exact same food.
Room was nice, seemed clean enough and we had a little balcony facing out from the hotel, no problems with the room at all. Decent shower, plug sockets, bed was comfy, it had a little mini fridge in the wardrobe, safe, hairdryer and everything you would expect.
Pool wasn't tricky getting a sunbed, but people were putting their towels down and then going to breakfast, I think the biggest problems with the pool is the equipment and tidyness. I would say 4 out of 5 umbrellas are broken, some with holes, broken bits of wood hanging off, I put one up and a screw fell out of it. The poor lifeguard does his best to tie them up but all the pins are missing so they're tricky to put up by yourself. A lot of the sunbeds are broken and sometimes fall back which is a shame. We had one experience where the umbrella fell over and almost landed on people. Also the pool was quite dirty, there was a plaster by the pool ladder that was there the entire week we stayed there, lots of leaves, tissues and receipts from the bar in the pool that didn't seem to get cleaned up.
Evening entertainment was fine, wasn't great wasn't bad, a lot of the circus was someone playing the violin with a little bit of circus. Drinks were expensive, for the two of us is was usually about £20 for two drinks, so we would just have one per evening. We started getting drinks and snacks from the supermarket just outside of the hotel (the one in the hotel is noticeably dearer).
The buffet breakfast was fine, that was sort of what you expect, I understand there's limited things you can do for breakfast and you wouldn't expect it to change up much, it had everything you could want.
Buffet dinner we didn't get on with, very small buffet with very limited options, we found out that we could walk to the Meloneras hotel across the road and the buffet must've been 3 times the size. Kinda funny but after the second night we actually went to this hotel for dinner for the rest of the holiday and it was great.
We had one issue with a gecko in the shower where my partner tried to call reception, you can never speak to them. The phone must've rang for 5 minutes, tried multiple times, you can't get hold of anyone. The other issue is when you go to reception to ask a question when you are already a guest, there is a constant line of people checking in. So it's never worth the hassle of queueing to ask anything. So help in the hotel seems a bit non-accessible.
Would I stay again? Probably not, I picked this one over Meloneras because the look/style of the hotel and the number of pools, the cleanliness of the pools and the food was an issue. I would probably do the Meloneras instead if I was coming again.

30th Wedding Anniversary holiday
Went to hotel with another couple to celebrate both our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Very impressive entry on arrival and the check in was quick and very professional. We booked double room with view with breakfast which was excellent. The room is spacious and the view was over one of the pools. Nearly everything about the hotel was fantastic from the breakfast to the service. One of the main issues that our group had was that at the time of our stay the hotel was hosting along with is sister hotel the Audi World Convention and because of this one the main pools was out of use for guests. I can't understand why as it wasn't in use during the day to any the guests. This caused big issued trying to get a sunbed as the hotel looked really full for the week that we were there. 2 of the days we were unable to get a sunbed till late in the afternoon. Also a large part of the main bar was out of use for guests. Again at night it was hard to get a table. The hotel should have informed guests prior to arrival that certain parts of the hotel would be out of use to normal guests for a certain period of time. This issue did leave a sour taste when we were at the hotel.
