Fantastic holiday
We had a superb stay at the Canaria Princess! The rooms were very comfortable and extremely clean, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The all-inclusive package was worth every penny. There was a fantastic choice of dishes throughout the day, with plenty of variety so it never felt repetitive. The snacks and drinks available throughout the day were also a lovely touch. My husband celebrated his 60th birthday during our stay, and the hotel manageress very kindly provided a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate. This was such a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. The location is also excellent. There’s a bus stop right outside the hotel, with frequent and inexpensive buses making it easy to explore the island without the need for expensive car hire. It’s a pleasant 15-minute walk down to the beach and shopping centre, and a taxi back to the hotel was only €3.85. Overall, we couldn’t fault our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great stay for a week
We went on an All inclusive Jet2 package deal for 1 week. We opted for a high room and were in 733, a view over to the Sea. The room was large and clean, towels were changed daily, beds were made. For sunbeds, we got up by 8am to get a good choice, we never saw anyone remove towels before 10am. There are activities on offer, I went for Pilates. Soft drinks and beer are self service by the pool with water and coffees inside, we never queued. In the evening the bar staff were incredibly efficient and speedy. The entertainment was good, Acrobats, Circus Acts, ABBA tribute, Flamenco so variety. The food was fine, nothing spectacular but always good, breakfast had good choice. The Mexican and Chinese themed nights were best. The location is good, we walked to the beach, the dunes, the market and Yumbo centre. Handy hint on your last day you can book a 30 minute slot to use a bedroom to have a shower, handy for us with a 6.15pm pick up but hang on to a towel from your room.
Not Worth the Money
Do not waste your hard-earned money on this hotel
I honestly feel that people should think twice before spending their hard-earned money on this hotel. Our experience was extremely disappointing, and in my opinion, this is absolutely not what you would expect from a four-star hotel.
Let’s start with the cleanliness — or rather, the lack of it. The hotel was not clean to the standard we expected at all. Even the towels were dirty. What is particularly frustrating is that the hotel seems to have spent a considerable amount of money putting its logo on everything — towels, plates, napkins and practically anything they could put a logo on — while the basic standard of cleanliness was seriously lacking. A logo does not make up for poor hygiene and poor housekeeping.
The food was another major disappointment. There was very little variety, and unfortunately, what was available was, in our experience, extremely poor and often simply not enjoyable to eat. The restaurant itself also looked badly maintained and poorly organised. There were empty stations, things left around everywhere, and the whole area gave a very untidy and unpleasant impression. It certainly did not feel like a restaurant in a four-star hotel.
Overall, I genuinely do not understand how this hotel has received the rating it currently has on TripAdvisor. Based on our experience, it falls far short of what we expected from a four-star property.
What makes it even more disappointing is that you can spend the same amount of money in Gran Canaria and stay somewhere that is vastly better in terms of service, cleanliness, food, hospitality and overall experience.
We did take a few photos during our stay. Unfortunately, we did not spend enough time in the restaurant and around the hotel to take as many photos as we would have liked. However, the photos we have uploaded genuinely reflect what we saw and experienced.
For us, this hotel was absolutely not worth the money. There are much better options available for the same price, and I would strongly recommend doing your research before booking. Based on our experience, we would definitely not stay here again.

amazing hotel, the workers are verry kind and polite. its verry clean and the food is amazing. for a good time i realy recoment this hotel. i had a great time and i wan't to thank Gran Canaria Prinses hotel for that.
We had a Great Time (Very Relaxed)
We were here from the 2nd September 2026 for 9 nights. Usually after 7 or 9 nights I am ready to come home. I was not this time, this was i different kind of holiday in Gran Canaria for me, Usually I am out in the clubs till 4am, but I wanted a peaceful relaxing holiday this time, and I got it. We laid around the Pool all day which is relaxing as its adults only, we booked the premium sun loungers pool side a few days, the pool was warm but cooling from the hot Sun. The hotel its self could do with an update, but this was being done while we were there, and we did'nt even really notice, there were a few minutes we heard drilling, but that was it, nothing disruptive. The night entertainment was not great, but i never expect much from hotel entertainment, 2 shows were really good, 2 shows were fairly good and the others were ok- passable. Food was great, but after 9 days it does get a bit repetitive, but i have found that most places. Always managed to find a sun lounger, they have a policy that if your towel is on a lounger before 10am and you are not there, the will remove it and charge you 2 Euros to get it back, Never seen this happen though. Round the corner from the Irish Center, Close to Jumbo Center (10 min walk) Shops very close by. Would I return? Yes
