Very fair value, clean
Not a fancy hotel but a great deal for a last minute booking. With hindsight, I wouldn't stay in such a noisy neighbourhood again. Without air-conditioning you need windows open and there's a cacophony of entertainment outside. This did affect our sleep quality. If this doesn't bother you then the hotel is a good choice. Easy walk to the beach, near supermarket, by bus stops. Friendly staff though the hotel is geared to German guests. Luckily neither of us have dietary requirements and enjoyed at least 90% of what we ate and there was plenty of choice. I suggest water be offered complimentary in the restaurant or at least a fairer price. Alcohol was reasonably priced. Pleasant quiet guests / atmosphere. Rooms and pool etc all very clean. We really like having an apartment rather than just a room. We really enjoyed the sunrises in the morning, a pleasant view. Drying area on balcony very useful. Takes ages to boil water on the hob. We didn't prep food but kitchen was equipped enough for us. A lidded bathroom bin would be much nicer. Overall, a relaxing stay.

Poor quality Food & Very Dated hotel
Very dated hotel, clean rooms and public areas, sun-beds old & broken with addition parts added from other broken beds, Food terrible swimming in fat/grease poor selection of your English most if the Female Catering Team (supervisors/Servers) VERY Rude shout in Spanish speak little English totally ruined experience having 13 evening meals out and 7 breakfasts, poor selection bread often stale and fruit when available looks terrible, German peoole seem to be happy hear. Would avoid like the plaque, pay extra and selected a better hotel. TUI were little help especially the Rude Blonde Rep (Spanish) possibly Katrina.

Bad experience with the restaurant
The hotel is a bit dated, but it's fine for sleeping, and the price is reasonable.
The big problem with this hotel is that half-board is mandatory, and the food is awful! Greasy, overcooked, and not very fresh. My wife and I experienced intestinal problems during our 10-day stay.
All the food is poor quality: pink shrimp that leak liquid when you remove the head, fish that smells like stale fish, and bad fruit... The restaurant doesn't even deserve one star!
What's more, drinks are extra in the evenings; you can't even get a glass of water, even though there's a water fountain and sparkling wine at breakfast!
The staff is friendly (except for the restaurant manager), but everyone speaks to you in German, which is frustrating when you're making an effort to speak their language!
A nice wee break
Great location and supermarket round the corner.Easy to park on street near hotel.Staff lovely and hotel very clean but very very dated,everything in working order-take your own hairdryer though!Restaurante good,always had plenty to choose from.The hotel supply pool towels which is great,pool is very cold but managed to get in.Look like new sunbeds at the pool-very comfy. Very quiet in the hotel,cafe only open 11-6.Nothing in the evening.Bar round corner too and was quiet but think it could be noisy at peak times. Negatives-beds in the room were like bricks ,very uncomfortable!! Anyone with limited mobility be aware restaurante downstairs and no lift available,does have wheelchair stair lift.
Great location shame about the food
This hotel has good and bad points I’ll start with the good.
Fantastic location 10 mins walk to the beach, 10 mins walk to Yumbo centre. There is a great supermarket just round the corner that sells just about everything, lots of small cafes and a fab gift shop upstairs.
The hotel itself is clean , staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are good, has a mini kitchen area with a fridge. Table and chairs , lounge area with sofa and tv, we were in room 402 over looking the road. The balcony was nice and had lovely views. The furniture on the balcony was not great old wooden style seating not very comfy. There was a washing line to hang your wet swimwear etc.
We had a twin room, lots of storage for clothes and hanging space. Large mirror and dressing area and a fan. No aircon in rooms but we survived ok with the fan and being on the balcony.
Bathroom was big enough shower was great and we had some mini toiletries.
Reception areas all clean. There is a pool bar open 11-6pm we are here a couple of times during the day and the food was good.
Around the pool is nice however some areas are totally shaded from the building so if you plan to spend your afternoon there pick wisely as if you want sun you will have to move and it can get busy. The sun beds are old and rickety but if you get the seating pads they were comfy.
The pool was clean it was cool getting in but once in was lovely. They allow inflatables too.
There is a very small kids pool.
There were allot of German and Swiss guests staying at the hotel but all very pleasant.
Now the food - we found the food awful the breakfast was quite cold, very fatty bacon , tiny little sausages , soggy potato hash browns and cold beans. Then ham and cheeses pate etc , we saw carrots and Aubergines. They cater for Germans etc allot more than English.
Toasters are rubbish take an age to toast any of the bread so gave up in the end.
Dinner - the menu is put up everyday in reception so we checked this , mainly caters for other guests. We tried it for two nights but couldn’t do anymore as it was just awful bland boring cold food.
It would be much better if you could just op to not have the food and be self catering here.
Staff in the restaurant work hard and were friendly. Restaurant very dated and tired.
Overall it’s a great hotel for the location. We decided to eat out mostly as there are so many lovely cafes and restaurants near by. The supermarket had a pastry counter too which are so good and a fresh orange machine.
WiFi is only in reception and slightly around the pool depending on where you are sitting. Did not work on the 4th floor at all.
Rooms could do with a refurb to some degree but then it does have that canaries charm.
Lifts always worked and there are several.
Enjoyable holiday.
