This excellent hotel boasts breathtaking views over the harbour, the bay and out to the open sea from its elevated position in Puerto Rico on the southwestern coast of the holiday island of Gran Canaria. GREAT STAY!! Judge for yourself
After reading the reviews I was dreading our stay!!!
However please go and judge for yourself! Honest review coming up!
Hotel: Gorgeously set over looking the harbor and sea, most amazing view all day!!!
Room: We had a double room and it was very basic, fridge, bed and bathroom (with hairdryer). Ceiling fan, but this isn’t great. I don’t spend much time in the room when on holiday so not a huge issue with size but air con would have made a huge difference. We found that it was cooler when we left our room.
Food / Drinks All inclusive cocktails are out of a machine disappointingly. If you pay they will make fresh ones. However pint glasses for beer and glasses for all other drinks if your are sitting around the bar, which is great. Hate when you go to the bar in the evening and get a plastic cup! Drinks were of a good choice, lots of variety and shots or tequila and sambuca included!
Food was really nice, breakfast was amazing, full English or pastries, cheeses, omelette station, honestly there is something for everyone .
Snacks - amazing, burgers pizza, chicken strips etc.
Dinner always found loads to eat, honestly cannot fault the food!
This is definitely a hotel I would consider going back to, hopefully they look at air con in all rooms as this would be a huge bonus!
Disgusting
UNACCEPTABLE: Bed bug infestation on night one ruined our holiday Do not stay at Servatur Riu Sol. On our very first night, we woke up to bed bugs literally crawling on us. We all ended up with bites. What followed was complete negligence and utter incompetence from management. We were forced to pack up all of our belongings and change rooms. We were left waiting for hours just for someone to come and collect our clothes to be washed. Because our brand-new clothes with tags had to be sent away for laundering, we were left with nothing to wear for the entire day. My young son was forced to sit in just a pair of boxer shorts all day. To make matters worse, we had to haul all of our remaining belongings across the hotel to the new room by hand, without suitcases, because management kept the cases to return with the laundry. We are still stuck here for another week and the whole trip has been completely ruined before it even started. Save yourself the stress and health risk—avoid this hotel at all costs. Also the marks from the bed bugs on the mattress were not new so there is no way a cleaner doing there job properly would not notice this. The next room we were moved to didn’t even have hot water for a shower!

I would not waste your money this hotel is rubbish the staff are rude everything here is broken.
Can’t fault it
Well what can I say, I was panicking reading reviews on this place, but to be honest I can’t fault it I’ve got a great room 2016 it’s big apartment the bar is bang on and the food I can’t fault it, my brother has ribs for breakfast 🤣 cause he misses breakfast, I’ve met some great people all I’ve done is laugh that’s what it’s all about making memories

If i could give this 0 i would. Fighting for sunbeds in the morning. No air conditioning in the bedroom and have to be staying a minimum of 5 nights to be able to even request to have it (still may not get the aircon and have to pay extra for it). Dirty bed sheets. Only two towels given when it was booked for 3 people. Ants in the room on arrival despite having to wait after check in time for it to be "cleaned". Rude staff members. Would not recommend, will not be returning. We only ended up staying one night and swapped hotel.
