Absolutely lovely hotel! One of the big pluses for us was the heated pool 🏊♀️ The staff were lovely and very helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to the lovely receptionist who helped us today 🫶. My taxi didn’t arrive at 4:30am , and she kindly called another taxi for me. I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name, but thank you so much for your help — it really meant a lot, especially so early in the morning. ❤️ The food was very nice, and we especially loved the breakfasts 🥰. The hotel is also only around a 15min drive from the airport, which was a real bonus after a long journey. The rooms were comfortable, and overall we had a wonderful stay. My daughter and I would definitely love to come back, or perhaps try another Barceló hotel in a different location.
Amazing stay! Was busy but always could find room around the pool, lovely food and drinks, all the staff was very friendly and helpful but By far Diego from the entertainment team was the best!! Always made sure everything was good and really lifted the mood of everyone.
If you have read some of the negative reviews on here please do not worry! This hotel is fabulous. The rooms are spacious svd tidy (we were in Block 3), the restaurant buffet on the active side has a great choice and selection of high quality food and the sunbed issue that people are ranting about is really not that bad! Unless you want a bed slap bang next to the main pool you can put your towels down whenever. There were four of us and we never had an issue once. The hotel is huge and can take the high number of guests, it doesn’t ever feel overcrowded or busy. The gym and exercise programme are second to none. Overall this is a really nice hotel. I’m not someone who would usually return to a hotel but I would definitely go back here.
Modern rooms and royal level side is modern apart from the hallways, they feel like a prison, active side is standard Spain hotel. The buffet food was too posh for us, serving goat and rabbit, found it hard to find anything other than pizza, chips and nuggets most nights as other simple food like pasta was over cooked every night and bland. Entertainment starts late and is not very good, out of the 14 nights here we only saw 2 good shows. The hotel is quite far from the centre of Costa Teguise but if you like walking it's about 30-40 min depending on your pace. Barely any non alcoholic drinks, so started to get bloated off pop and ended up on water which isn't great when we paid to go all inclusive, normal cocktails are slushes in the day and premixed at night so cannot remove unwanted ingredients. Day time activities better on the active side of the hotel. More wind and breeze on the royal side of hotel. We stayed in a sea view room, view was lovely but it was so windy on the front that it woke me up most nights and we live by the seaside so we are used to the wind but this made the patio doors shake and the furniture scrape, so was loud and disturbing. Excursions are limited in the hotel and quite expensive. Often running out of food at the snack bar and have to ask if more is coming. The cakes at the buffet are good and normal slices not the tiny small squares. Overall, we made the most of what we had but we would not come again or recommend it to anyone!
Stayed for 10 days the hotel itself is lovely and so are the staff however there are some issues. Firstly the rooms are large and spacious with nice bathroom, the aircon needs updating I had it on the coldest setting constantly on and the room wasn’t as cold as it should be. I’d wake up in the middle of the night boiling hot still, my mother had the same issue in her room too and also I had ants coming out of my bathroom sink plug aswell. The toilet lid had to be kept shut due to the smell of sewage which would lingerie into the room. That being said the beds are very comfy and the nice size tele too. The pools are good sizes but we learnt quickly to only go to the main pool as people would queue up and RUN for sunbed within the pool area being open 5 mins you’ll have no sunbeds. People would also vanish for hours leaving towels on sunbeds, most places have rules where they take towels off sunbeds if unattended for certain amount of time but not here. The main pool would usually have sunbeds available though. The snack bar and breakfast was to good quality but the evening it wasn’t the best, we opted to eat out most nights so only tried it twice. Town is 5 minute taxi away, hotel staff are nice enough to ring a taxi for you. Very good evening entertainment aswell
