Dangerous 0 star holiday nightmare
Rating: 0/5 stars We have stayed at Galeon Playa twice before and never had an issue, but our 8-night stay this July with our 1-year-old and 5-year-old was the absolute worst experience we have ever had. We were forced to move rooms 3 times (staying in 4 different rooms total), encountering severe health and safety hazards in every single one.Room 1: The sewage smell was completely unbearable, and we caught three cockroaches in the kitchen in a single night.Room 2: A terrifying safety failure. On day four, while my daughter was bathing in a paddling pool in the shower, the ceiling quite literally collapsed due to a massive boiler leak. She could have been seriously injured by the falling plasterboard.Room 3: This room had a heavy, musty smell. We later discovered black droppings in the tub, and looking closer, the panel above the bath was filled with cockroach legs and faeces. Every time the wind blew, this debris rained down directly into the bath.Room 4: Moved here for our final night, only to find absolutely no hot water. Reception claimed they sent someone to fix it, but it was never resolved, forcing us to brave freezing showers before traveling home. Long story short: if you want to risk your children being hit by a collapsing ceiling, bathe in cockroach droppings, and endure freezing showers, this is the hotel for you. We filled out a formal complaint form before leaving, but management has completely ignored us since our return. I have given them ample time to respond before posting this. Avoid at all costs.

Lovely family friendly hotel with amazing staff
Lovely clean hotel with great facilities, staff are always busy with a smile on their face. We stayed in a suite which had a lovely view of the main pool and the sea, it had a separate twin room then a large lounge area with comfy sofa and two large twins pushed together. The bathroom was very large and lovely and clean. We were impressed with the size of the balcony with two sunbeds and table with chairs. We stayed half board and the food was great. Breakfast choice was amazing with fresh omelettes, im a fussy vegetarian but always found something tasty in the evening also. The staff in the dining room was so friendly and would make an effort to have a joke with the kids. They were straight over for drinks orders and worked so hard clearing up and making sure everyone was happy. A lovely family friendly hotel in the heart of everything, we would definitely stay again.

Holiday with my grandsons 1 bedroom apartment
stayed here with my grandsons.room was big very clean no a.c.but large fan kept room cool , breakfast was very good large selection 2 pools boys enjoyed the big one , a few minutes walk away from the beach overall very good stay at this hotel
Great value for a 3 star plus hotel
We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel and were very happy with our experience. Considering it is a 3-star plus hotel, it exceeded our expectations. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable throughout our stay. The food was very good, with plenty of options every day for both adults and our child. We especially appreciated that the menu changed daily, so there was always something new to try. The location is excellent,just a short walk from the beach and very close to shops, restaurants, and bars, making it easy to explore the area without needing transport. Overall, we believe this hotel offers great value for money. We would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to families and anyone looking for a comfortable holiday.
Great Value for Money!
Me and my husband spent a fortnight at these self-catering/aparthotel rooms at the Galeon Playa!
We had a very large spacious room with a large balcony facing the sea. The room was very adequate for making small meals however we were bed and breakfast. It was also very clean with the maids coming in every other day to replace towels and change beds every 4 days. The hotel and grounds are very clean and very beautiful with all the varieties of cactus.
I have given five stars as I couldn't fault anything apart from the cleanliness of the sunbed loungers, they could do with a spray wash and hose down! (My only complaint)
The breakfast was lovely and was always fresh and hot and had lots to choose from even gluten free options! A big shout out to Dora who made the most gorgeous fresh omelettes (every morning my husband enjoyed one they were that nice)
We would recommend the Galeon Playa as it is very central to everything! 10 minute walk to the main beach and beachfront bars, shops and cafes. 5 minutes to the main square and over the road there was The Venue and Abbey Road!! We would definitely stay here again!!!
