Sol Lanzarote All Inclusive

Having stayed in several AI hotels in different countries, this one definitely ticks a LOT of boxes for me — especially location, transfer time, food and the overall atmosphere.

We had a fabulous 11-night stay and would 💯 return. In fact, quite a few guests we spoke to had stayed here before, with some returning multiple times, which says a lot!

📍 Location — 10/10

You honestly can’t beat it for convenience. Just a 10-minute transfer from the airport, right on the promenade and directly on the beach.

There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within around a 5-minute walk, and if you’re a plane geek like me, you’ll love watching them coming in to land! ✈️😂

🍽️ Food — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Without a doubt, one of the best AI restaurants I’ve experienced.

There was always plenty of choice, the food was tasty and the meal times were brilliant.

Dinner until 10pm was perfect for late arrivals, and breakfast until 10.30am meant there was absolutely no need to be getting up at silly o’clock on holiday! 😂

🎉 Entertainment

The animation team deserve a special mention. They work incredibly hard and there were plenty of activities during the day — aqua gym, Mölkky, darts, bingo and more.

The evening entertainment was definitely more hit and miss. Some acts were really good, including Starlight, the female singer and the plate-spinning duo. Others… well… let’s just say 40 minutes was plenty! 😂

🏊‍♀️ Pools & sunbeds

There are four pools — two deeper pools, a shallow middle pool and a tiny wee pool.

I absolutely loved the fact that the pool area opens at 10am, meaning no getting up at 5am to put towels down!

Throughout our entire 11-night stay, we never once struggled to get a sunbed. Yes, it gets busy around 10.30am, but there were still beds available.

🛍️ Facilities

The hotel has a gift shop and a supermarket on site, which was really handy for all those little essentials.

🛏️ Room

Our room was lovely and spacious with plenty of room. I hadn’t requested a sea or pool view but was very happy with where our room was.

The bed was quite hard for us, but a quick request for a mattress topper completely solved that. The topper was a godsend!

The only room issue was the toilet. It became loose and started leaking badly enough to flood the bathroom.

We reported it immediately, but unfortunately it wasn’t sorted the first time. My husband reported it again and was told it had been fixed, but it hadn’t.

I then went to reception and explained that this really needed sorting as we effectively didn’t have a properly working toilet.

Thankfully, the gentleman we then spoke to was very helpful, apologised and arranged for it to be dealt with. It was resealed, although towards the end of our stay it started leaking slightly again. This was reported when we checked out.

🛎️ Reception — the only real negative

This is probably the only area where I felt the hotel could improve.

Some reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful, but there was a noticeable inconsistency in communication and professionalism between different members of staff.

We weren’t told the check-out time, so I asked a few days before leaving and was told it was 12pm. As we had a late flight, I asked about keeping the room and was told it would be €60 until 6pm, booked on the day.

I was also told there was a free courtesy room or the option to use the gym.

On the day of departure, I was initially told our room wasn’t available but that I could book at 8am. I did this at 8.20am and was then told that I could apparently have requested the extension earlier and the room could have been held. Not a major issue, but it would have been useful to have been told this originally.

We booked a courtesy room for 5pm.

At 4.55pm we arrived and were told to come back at 5pm on the dot. So, at exactly 5pm, we returned.

Unfortunately, we were then told there were still people in the room as the previous guests had stayed longer, causing a knock-on effect.

Completely understandable that things like this happen — but we could have been told that five minutes earlier rather than being told to come back at exactly 5pm. 😂

At 5.15pm we were still waiting, along with the guests who had booked it for 5.30pm.

The lady on reception who dealt with it couldn’t have been more apologetic and professional, so absolutely no criticism of her. It was simply the inconsistency between different staff members that was frustrating.

⭐️ Overall

Despite the few niggles, we had an absolutely brilliant 11-night holiday.

The location is fantastic, the transfer is ridiculously convenient, the food is excellent, the animation team are brilliant and the hotel has everything you need for a relaxing AI holiday.

Would I return?

💯 ABSOLUTELY!

The reception issues and toilet problem wouldn’t put me off returning. They were frustrating at the time, but they didn’t spoil what was otherwise a fantastic holiday.

And when so many people are telling you they’ve been before and are coming back again… that probably says it all.

11 nights, plenty of sunshine, good food, cocktails, entertainment and planes landing right in front of you. What’s not to like? 😂✈️☀️

Fantastic week away at Sol Lanzarote. Food is good. We got an XTRA Sol Sea View for 2 Adults and 2 Children and it was perfect. Plenty of room and stunning views. What made our week was the entertainment staff. Nathan, Lorenzo, Lucia and the others are very hard working. They are brilliant with the kids and they are really a good laugh to be around. There is always a great buzz when they come around. We would definitely return to stay here.
