Really great holiday, upgraded to superior sea view suite. Couldn’t fault anything we had an amazing time as a family. The only thing that was disappointing was having to pay for the real adventure water park which opened quite late at 11am. We’d definitely return
Some great entertainment staff such as Aurelius,
Strange pool rules in the kids pool though inflatables only being allowed between 12:30-2, rude and difficult staff enforced this.
Helpful bar staff and plenty of food available during the day. Buffet was hit and miss, struggled to get staff attention for drinks
We travelled as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenage boys 15 and 13 yo) in July 26 for 12 nights. First time to Lanzarote and the purpose of the trip was to relax and make the use of the all inclusive resort. The hotel is in a nice location, the pools are clean and maintained, the rooms were very spacious (Junior Suites in Block D Real Adventure) and serviced well each day and the 4 of us always found something to eat in the main buffet and we found the staff all friendly and helpful. We ended up hiring a car whilst away and the hotel offers free parking. Overall a nice stay but not sure I would confirm 5 stars, more 3.5 in our opinion. Great for a holiday on a budget but lacking in thought and activity for 2 teenagers. The nearby beach is rocky and not that usable for beach activities, the Real Adventure package allowed access to the gym, the arcade and the sports court but nothing really to occupy my sons for long. The animation team are great for the little ones but again, activities like water basket in the pool are not aimed at teenagers. We felt a little mislead by the hotel description. By 'Family and Fun', its great for the little kids but not the older ones. The package descriptors also felt confusing and it's a real shame that some areas of the hotel are almost unused because they charge a fee for the use of them. The Italian and the Asian restaurants charge, the Beach BBQ is expensive and Isla de Lobos space occupies a prime location on the hotel site but is generally empty because of the extra charges above All Inclusive. A bit of reorganisation, restructuring of packages and it could be made so much more 'fun' for all guests.
Had the best week! The entertainment staff have been incredible with the children and have really gone the extra mile!! Particularly Aurelius - he’s been great!
We stayed in July and had a fabulous family holiday. The hotel is split into two parts - Castillo and Real Adventure. If you want the water slides and a more child focussed holiday, you need to book Real Adventure (you can pay to access it when you’re there otherwise) but if you want more of a balance (somewhere that caters for more than children) then book on the Castillo area, which is where we stayed. The room was really spacious and clean, the sea views from the balcony were great. The staff were all really friendly and polite. We were incredibly impressed with how well the hotel accommodates food allergies. The head chef showed us round the buffet restaurant on the first night and couldn’t have emphasised enough that if we were unsure all staff would help (and they did). Food had allergen labels on it. The best bit was that we had a QR code and could order allergen friendly food in advance eg gluten free pizza and pasta. Although we didn’t need it as the buffet was so extensive and high quality. In between meals, the snack bar was open that also had so much food. The drinks were decent quality and we liked the fact branded items were available. We read before we came that the entertainment team were great and hard working and we really saw that. The views from the main pool out to sea were beautiful and we loved that we could walk out of the pool area, onto the promenade and down to the sea to snorkel (beach shoes are helpful!) Overall, we had a wonderful stay and we’d book again
