Surrounded by tropical gardens, the modern beach hotel Hipotels La Geria is situated first line to the beautiful, broad sandy beach and the crystal-clear waters of Pocillos. The centre of the tourist resort Puerto del Carmen as well as the Lanzarote Golf Resort are just a few minutes away by car, and the impressive Timinfaya National Park can be reached within a short drive. The international airport is also just a few minutes away. The excellent hotel offers wonderfully appointed rooms with a clean, modern decoration. Features include WIFI, air-conditioning, satellite-TV and a balcony or terrace. The hotel has a fantastic pool landscape with a large pool, surrounded by palm trees and terraces with sun loungers and parasols. There is a children's pool and a playground, as well as a gym, a sauna, a diving school and free WIFI in the lobby. This is a perfect hotel for couples or families with children wishing to spend a nice holiday under the sun.

The perfect girly getaway
I had to write a review for this hotel as we had such a fantastic stay. Location was perfect for us as it was so quiet but there are bars and shops close by, and a wonderfully large beach which didn’t get crowded like most. On entering the hotel I was extremely pleased we had chosen it, large airy open spaces, all clean and well kept. Reception staff extremely helpful every time we needed to speak to them. The food was great, we were all inclusive and it didn’t disappoint, big variety and constantly replenished. Bar snacks and drinks were also good. Room wasn’t huge but we loved its location and had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. It was very clean and beds made up daily. The spa facilities are also a big added bonus, we thoroughly enjoyed our treatments here. One thing I noted that all the staff we encountered during our stay were nothing but happy, friendly, and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Which isn’t always the case in other hotels I’ve visited where they can look miserable and no customer service skills, definitely not the case here. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxed luxury stay at a reasonable price.
Generally ok but could've been better .
Location is great , atmosphere was ok , i felt like the bed was to big for the room two single beds pushed together, bathroom and toilet facilities were good , the air conditioning was noisy but ok , the cleaners were great , i do feel that the hotel prioritises the all inclusive guests over the self catering guests , a few times in the evenings me and my wife would come back to the hotel from having a meal out we would sit at a table waiting to be served for a considerable amount of time before getting up and going to the bar which sometimes felt awkward, also during the day after leaving the beach we would come back around 6pm sit at a table outside and wait for service ! Several times we decided to go to bar because it was quicker , its a bit unclear what you are supposed to do if you are self catering, sit at the table and wait or go to the bar ? We used the sauna and steam room facilities which were great .

Annual Visit to Hotel La Geria
Just back from a wonderful stat at Hotel La Geria. Have been visitin the hotel now for many years and it feels like returning home each time. Staff are very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. A special thanks to Rita and Zofia. I had a lovely room with great views. Food was great. Nightly entertainment also very good. Looking forward to returning in 2027.

Exception hotel experience
Value for money , great food. Clean, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Great location across a quiet road to the beach with excellent public bus service
Lovely hotel, shame about the sunbed wars
My adult daughter and I have had a lovely holiday. This hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms, the pools, everywhere is immaculate. The staff are in helpful and friendly and the breakfast selection was good. At the time we stayed (early September) the clientele was definitely older, very few under 60 so this isn’t for anyone looking for a lively hotel (we weren’t so that suited us).
It is right opposite the beach, there is a small selection of restaurants and shops nearby and it’s a 2 mile walk into Puerto Del Carmen, it $5 in a taxi or €2.50 on the bus. It’s a very peaceful spot.
There are things which could be improved.
The aircon in the room was pathetic, in high season your room would be a sweat box! It never got really chilled and the fridge never got really cold either. Neither were broken, just rubbish!
The sun lounger wars! This did my head in and would put me off returning. Not enough beds & old people thinking they are entitled to the same loungers every day and god help you if you take “theirs”. There was a lady on here own who commandeered the same two beds every single day - why did she need two? Another couple angled their beds in such a way that nobody else could fit in the front row gap even though there was plenty of room.
You are not allowed to even sit on a lounger before 9am so there was this weird ritual of people standing over the loungers they wanted until the staff said they could sit on them. If you sat on them a minute before 9am you were shouted at like a naughty child in front of the class. They then tried to tape off the area around the pool until 9am. This resulted in a stampede and an elderly man getting wrapped up in the tape! I don’t know what the answer is but they need to do something. The old people also need to learn some manners!
We have had a great week but because of trauma of the sun beds I would not stay again, everything else was great.
