Labranda El Dorado Lanzarote

We arrived and were welcomed by a nice man (sorry did not catch your name) on arrival, after completing the usual check in forms we were given the Key to apartment 2b. Large apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. some upgrades have been made however, some paint and re tiling could be done. The bathroom with the shower and no bath the box for jets needs replacing as its almost hanging off the wall. The apartment was clean on arrival however, we then only had towels replaced every 2nd day and beds made once, floor cleaned once in the entire week. The balcony was very dirty i bought clothes etc, to wipe the table down myself. The outdoor areas and gardens are well kept. The pool could do with new liner or re tiled. There are not enough beds to meet the amount of guests, and it was often a show down to get somewhere to sunbathe, the life guards did removed bed huggers towels when asked to do so however this only cause further tension around the pool. They do not offer courtesy rooms and there is a significant charge if you want to keep your room on. We were not given the option to keep room on as hotel full and no courtesy room on offer using the cold water swimming pool shower is not my idea of customer service, and has let the hotel down in this case and i would not return. They are central however the hill is not good for elderly or infirm. We travelled as a family 3 adults 2 kids, nothing for kids really, and my elderly mother being asked to shower in a cold pool shower not acceptable.

Just back from our family holiday. We had a great experience. The apartments are spotless staff are very friendly, there’s always someone constantly cleaning both apartments and pool area. Pool bar is very reasonable pricing. Location is ideal a short walk to every where. The only thing I’d say at the start of the week it was no problem get a sun lounger, but as week went on it got harder and harder as people were leaving towels down in the morning and not showing up until the afternoon. When we were leaving we had an early flight time so we left the apartments at 3:45am and at least half of the sun loungers had towels on them at that time. A simple solution would be for staff to take the towels off in the mornings fold them up and leave them at the pool bar. But 100% I’d have no problem staying here again and will be back next year. 🇨🇮
