Las Costas

Stayed on HB basis for 10days 9th to19th September,check in was very easy and everything was explained to us ,took us a bit of time to find our room but that was down to us .The room 1176 was partial sea view but really I would say a full sea view ,it was well furnished with lots of storage, the bathroom was walkin shower and quite large ,we were surprised by the excellent standard of the room ,easy to use AC plus a large ceiling fan if required, the safe was €2 a day ,no big deal .The food at both breakfast and evening meal was excellent, the staff were friendly and very attentive ,we used the snack bar for lunch by the pool ,prices were very reasonable. We stayed around the pool area but went for walks along the beach and for a swim in the sea ,it was a bit rough some days but use your common sense to know your capabilities, lifeguards are on the beach.After the evening meal we went for walks along the main road where all the bars ,restaurants and shops are returning to the cocktail bar to watch the singers .This hotel is scrupulously clean ,staff cleaning all the time ,it's in probably the best position in the resort with everything within a few minutes walk ,a superb hotel ,we didn't have a problem with sunbeds ,maybe we were lucky ,we shall return in the future ,we had a wonderful time.

Our second visit to this lovely hotel and we enjoyed every minute of it. Perfect location for us - right on the beach with a short 20 minute walk to the start of the PDC strip. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed on aHB basis and enjoyed our breakfast on the dining room terrace each morning. We ate in the hotel most evenings and the food was plentiful and delicious - especially the seafood! The chefs were really friendly and were more than happy to recommend dishes and sides. One negative note though (apologies for bringing this up). One morning after breakfast we were stopped by a member of staff in the dining room as we were leaving with two breakfast rolls to eat later. We had observed other guests doing the same and even taking a lot more stuff out including sparkling wine, tea, coffee and pastries so we thought it was ok to do so. Basically we were scolded by this staff member which was embarrassing as other guests were in the vicinity. So we left the rolls behind and retreated like naughty children. To make matters worse this same staff member a few days later basically interrogated us about s Coca Cola that we were being charged for at lunchtime but which we didn’t have. Another waiter witnessed the interaction and he seemed embarrassed that we were being challenged. Anyway it made us feel a little uncomfortable. I suspect that this lady in might be a team leader or a supervisor in the dining room and ordinarily she seemed to be welcoming and friendly (even to us) but maybe she is just a little over zealous in carrying out her duties Anyway we loved Las Costas and plan to return next year.
