Located right by the long, fine sandy beach of Playa de los Pocillos on a main road in the tourist centre of Puerto del Carmen, this seaside hotel offers complimentary buffet breakfast to its guests to ensure a tasty and healthy start of the day. After the light snack, patrons can remain within the complex by the lovely outdoor pool, head out to the beach or play a game of snooker or table tennis. Those who like to stay in good shape can have a workout in the on-site gym or take part in an aerobics class, and later unwind in the sauna. The hotel's restaurant provides not only fantastic local and international dishes, but a rich entertainment programme to its guests.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Just back from Hotel Las Casta, we had a lovely relaxing holiday. The accommodation was spacious, clean and very comfortable beds and I must say the best pillows Iv ever had the pleasure of using! The atmosphere was quite quiet and relaxing. As a family we would have liked some more activities around the pool and some music playing. The games room was nice and clean and I liked that there was no arcade type games. That said it would benefit from some tables and chairs in there so we as a family could play pool together and take a seat and watch the children. The entertainment at night was just singers when we were there and would have preferred some variety like we have seen at other hotels for example acrobatics shows, disco nights, bingo, magic or talent shows etc. if this was the case we would definitely have spent more time at the Hotel in the evening. The food was fantastic both at breakfast and dinner. The seafood was a particularly hit for us. The children would have preferred if there was some pizza or nuggets available for them but they were always able to eat well. The one thing that did upset us when we were there was that there were a few wheelchair users that couldn’t get into the pool, it was so hot and I can’t imagine not being able to get into the pool to cool down. We saw one incident where the family were trying to get their son into the pool and the life guard told them ‘ no the pool isn’t suitable’. It’s such a shame because the rest of the hotel is very well designed for wheelchair users, it has flat and wide pathways and door ways. Hopefully that’s something the hotel can look into and change so it’s more inclusive for everyone. All that said we will definitely return as it was a fantastic holiday.
We stayed at this hotel for nine wonderful days and it exceeded all of our expectations. We paid extra for the Sea View Premium Room and it was worth every penny! The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and spacious for the three of us, including our teenage daughter. It was cleaned to a high standard every single day.
One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing staff. Everyone at reception and in the restaurant was so friendly, welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble!
The breakfast was outstanding, with an excellent variety of fresh, delicious food to suit every taste. As vegetarians and vegans, we were delighted with the choice available. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel on several evenings, and the food was always delicious with plenty of options.
We hired a car through the hotel, and the whole process was seamless and completely stress-free. It was so convenient and made exploring the island even more enjoyable.
The location couldn’t have been better. The beautiful beach is literally on the doorstep, the strip is just a short walk away and there are shops conveniently located across the road.
We had such an amazing holiday and honestly couldn’t fault our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be returning. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our holiday so memorable!
We enjoyed a 2 week stay at Las Costas, overall the rooms are really nice, very modern, clean and spacious. The beds are very comfy, good tv channels and there is plenty of wardrobe space and general space for other things. The terraces have sunbeds as well as a table and chairs.
The bathroom is really nice too, it has a big shower unit, good water force and a good shower screen. The food at breakfast was good, very fresh and something for everyone. The pool is great but no ball games are allowed so depending on how old kids are, it could get a bit boring. The aqua aerobics was strange, the music volume was super low and the instructors were the most unenthusiastic and inactive I've ever seen! The younger instructor gives 1 demo of the move and then tell you how many of those to do while she stands there not moving herself!! Not a big deal but I found it very strange. The beach is lovely too, if you walk along the beach about 10 mins towards Matagorda there is much less seaweed. The customer service from Reception staff is very good. One night we discovered a lot of cockroaches in the room, one was in one of the beds, this was at 2am, we called Reception and the night manager was really good, he got us a new room very quickly and thankfully there were no issues there. It's important to note that the hotel is very clean and well kept, however, in a hot country there will be cockroaches at times which is understandable and unavoidable but the issue was dealt with very well and very professionally. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this hotel.
Perfect location at edge of beach , rooms spacious and modern sadly our room suffered from constant sand and rubbish landing on our terrace making it unusable it was not cleaned often despite mentioning it to reception ! The atmosphere around the pool was friendly, it does state no reservations of sun beds but this is not followed or managed and unless your up early you won’t get one , there is a hot tub / jacuzzi but in the 14 days we were there it didn’t seems to work and was always very cloudy and uninviting Pool is lifeguarded from 11-7 and you swap your towels with him but you must have tickets to do this Breakfast was disappointing most mornings cooked breakfast items were of very cheap quality , breads lovely but other items I found strange to see at breakfast! Onion rings , peas battered zucchini?? The safe in room is an additional charge of €2 a day which I think in a 4 star should be included in price All in all nice hotel but with a few tweaks it could be excellent
Absolutely beautiful hotel! From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are exceptional and extremely clean and cleaned every day. We had half board and both breakfast and dinner was amazing quality with exceptional variety. The grounds and pool area were kept extremely clean and tidy. The location is brilliant with shops and local bars across the road. The area is lovely and quiet and the beach right by the hotel which was amazing. We organised excursions through the hotel and they were very helpful and informative. I have been to Lanzarote a fair few times and this by far is the best hotel. We walked and cycled (hired) to Puerto del Carmen with our children and was an enjoyable walk. The local bus was also very reasonable if you wanted to take that to Puerto del Carmen rather than walk. We went as a family with two boys (11 and 8) and they absolutely loved the pool and snorkeling in the beach! Plenty to do close by for families, we hired bikes from opposite the hotel, timafya mountain, safari submarine and teguise market. Highly recommend them all. We will be back!
