The attractive holiday hotel Atolon boasts a superb seafront position with direct sea access and marvellous panoramic views over the shimmering waters of the Mediterranean Sea, right at the Cala Bona seaside promenade. It is located close to the fishing harbour, enabling guests to enjoy fresh and delicious fish dishes in the local restaurants. A wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and cafés can be found in the surrounding area; the popular holiday resort of Cala Millor is within easy reach. The most outstanding feature of the hotel is its wonderful seaside terrace with an outdoor pool and a separate children's pool, surrounded by sun loungers and with marvellous sea views. Culinary options include a restaurant and two bars, one of them situated on the terrace. This hotel is a perfect place for couples and families with children wishing to spend a holiday under the Mediterranean sun.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Perfect stay at Hotel Atolon.
The Hotel kindly arranged taxi from airport at a cost of €91.50 - I emailed them before. Friendly reception staff.
Our room was clean, bed comfortable with a nice touch of Dove toiletries provided (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner). Hair dryer is in the room.
Breakfast was lovely - had everything we needed to fill up for the day (scrambled egg, smoked salmon, avocado yummy!)
Pool area was lovely, calm, relaxing. No problems getting a bed. There was an issue with the pool (algae accumulating on the side) however maintenance were on top of it. I know children can stay at this hotel but I think it is definitely more targeted to adults.
The absolute highlight for my trip was our sea facing room. If you are an early riser who enjoys a peaceful seat on the balcony before everyone wakes I would definitely look into arranging a sea facing room. It made the holiday for me watching the sunrise every morning.
We decided to book transfer bus back to the airport. Wow - 2 hours is all I will say about that.
Overall, it was a gorgeous stay at this hotel. Thank you
Wonderful as always, friendly, helpful staff . Food amazing and pool area first class. Everything very clean . Already booked for next year!
Hotel was nicely decorated & peaceful. It's in a great location in between Cala Bona & Cala Millor. There's a cycle path between both so it's super flat & easy to walk around. Rooms are bright & clean, would recommend paying extra for a sea view if you like watching the sunrise. The pool is very relaxing & faces out to the ocean, didn't have an issue getting a sun bed either. They have Yoga classes every Tuesday & Thursday morning which is free & the teacher is great. We did half board & the food was incredibly good, the Chef's are very atttentive and there is so much choice, ingredients are fresh and consistently replenished throughout the buffet. I would go as far as to say the best hotel food I've had in a while. There is a beach club next door which has live music every evening (DJ/ sax player/ live band). There is also loads of bars with varying degrees of live music all around. We rented a car & visited lots of local beaches for snorkelling but I don't think a car is essential, there Is transport via buses & boats. Overall great value for money in my opinion, nice pool, good location with beaches a close walk.
A well situated hotel between Cala Bona and Cala Millor, right on the sea front with a pedestrian walkway at the front. There is an annex at the other side of the walkway where the majority of the rooms are. Room was clean and well equipped with a safe, air con and fridge with no extra charge, also a large TV with English channels. Bathroom had a large walk in shower with a handrail but I asked for a non slip mat as I’m paranoid about falling, this was provided straight away. The twin beds were pushed together and were very comfortable. A kettle and mugs were also provided. The downside was the storage, an open hanging space and minimal drawers. I had the room to myself and even I left some things in the suitcase! My daughter and granddaughter who were sharing a room found it a problem. Our rooms were in the annex facing the back of the building on the first floor (220 and 221) overlooking a laundry collecting point and drying area, the housekeeping staff congregated there first thing in the morning talking loudly and on their phones, not good if you want a lay in. Food was OK, some things freshly cooked but this caused queues. We found the menu to be a bit boring and repetitive so we did eat out a couple of times. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, but bar staff in the Kaufman beach club couldn’t make a cocktail to save their lives and drinks were overpriced. Pool area was lovely, plenty of sun beds but some people still reserved them early in a morning. Life guards very helpful especially with putting umbrellas up as they were a bit awkward. On our departure day we were being picked up early but we were allowed in the dining room before it opened at 8am for a continental breakfast. Overall we had a good stay.
Stayed 4 nights mid July Location is really good just next door to Stanley’s on the seafront. Hotel is very clean, all areas appeared spotless Breakfast also very good, the usual choices with a very laid back atmosphere. Room 100 must be the best room in the whole resort, it’s absolutely massive with own decking , loungers, Bali bed, and wraparound balcony - was so good we’ve booked again later this year!!
