Better than expected
Read other reviews but I always go with an open mind. Hotel is a bit out of the way with local bars 10 mins walk away, a cocktail bar at the bottom of the steps which was ok at a push. Food was much better than expected, however the heat plates weren’t turned on so lots of it was cold. We had a room on second floor in block E, nice and quiet. No problem with ants as such but we didn’t leave food out. Could see ants on the bar and this was getting worse as we came to leave. One bedroom apartment, with my husband, daughter and myself. My daughter had the pullout in the main room but she had no where to store her clothes. The wardrobe was not big enough to cope with 2 adults and a teen! Bar was ok, beer very gassy and no options as such. Staff not The most friendly but got the job done. Reception was amazing, so very helpful. Got a call every day to make sure we were ok. Had a problem with air conditioning leaking which was fixed promptly. No problem with sunbeds at the start of our holiday, but started to become a problem towards the end of our stay. lifeguard did remove towels if no one came to relax, but this was hit and miss. All in all, nice break away.

Disappointment
Was very disappointed, this is NOT a 4 star hotel. The rooms were very basic and stained sofa bed, towels and bedding. No real space for clothes and loads of stairs, with no help offered with bags. Pools are ok but some maintenance needed. Restaurant food is awful. Ridiculously overpriced.

Mediocre.
Overall the hotel is clean and modern facilities. A good base if you dont mind getting your steps in walking 10-15min to town. But be prepared if you are all inclusive you'll probably eat out most of the time if you like your food and dont like to waste calories on mediocre like warm food.
Downside - no bottled water. I get the sustainability aspect. But you aren't told this and if your room is far from the bar you have to ferry a decanter to and from there and in the mornings it was closed so unable to fill it. The all inclusive food is a let down. Luke warm. 50% of it is chips, nuggets and pasta, rice. Breakfast was cold.

First Time at this hotel and everything was okay , we would go back to hotel as all areas clean and tidy

Cala Ferrera
We had a lovely weeks stay. Staff go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need. Food was okay although cool at times and repetitive.
