Best part = entertainment
Overall stay for 2 weeks was amazing. Very little negatives and a whole lot of positives. Starting with the negatives, if you’re on a high level floor then the lifts are temperamental and unreliable. They could take a long time to arrive and could literally make their own journey up, there’s one that made some scary noises and didn’t sound secure, rattling all the way down. We were unhappy to see that the pool area / sunbed areas weren’t cleaned / tidied between days. This is realistically unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. One morning where my sunbeds were it took me 10 minutes to clean up the mess from the evening before, cigarette butts everywhere, literally 100s everywhere and old drinks attracting wasps. If you have a late check out , they cut your bands off, so no access to food or drinks which I think is absolutely ridiculous. Luckily we had a really early check out but some of our friends and people we met out there had late ones. So many positives but to name a few, entertainment staff are absolutely amazing. They’re fantastic with the kids, adults and all day and night, everyday. The lion king performance is a must see !! Drinks and food are standard for an all inclusive, I’ve had worse for sure. Some days the food was absolutely exceptional some days not so much but overall was a decent selection. Would highly recommend getting a sea view from your balcony. Lastly, not much around the area, you can get a bus 428 into Calador about 25 minutes comes at 15 past the hour. You can get a different 428 into Porta Cristo which again comes at 15 past the hour and o’clock to return. About 25 minutes journey the opposite way to Calador. Porta Cristo has a really nice market on every Wednesday and Sunday until 2pm. Definitely worth seeing/visiting. Aqua land waterpark - amazing !! Would highly recommend getting fast track wristbands for €80 , 100% worth it and pretty necessary.
No food
Never coming again payed for 7 days only got food for 5, didn't let us eat on the last day and we are leaving at 5 30 pm, said we need to pay an extra 25€ each If we wanted food
Lovely hotel, entertainment is amazing!
We spent 7 days at this hotel, a family of 4 with an 8 year old and a 3 year old. The location is beautiful, stunning views, a small town and a little amusement park, plenty of places to eat and about 10minutes aways from the hotel as well so easy to walk to.
The animation team are all wonderful ( big shout out to Wilson) So good with the kids, try and get everyone involved and they have so much energy, I took part in the aqua fitness every day and it was great fun. I loved our evenings at the hotel, they made our holiday! On our last day they performed the Lion King- this was incredible every single one of the animation team were amazing and so much time and effort went into this.
The hotel itself it is clean, our room was a nice size, our bed was two singles pushed together, the kids bed was a sofa bed, we slept well. Food was ok, I say this as a vegetarian, there's always something to eat but I did feel like I lived on Pizza and chips for the week (the pizza was amazing though) The alcohol was nice didn't taste watered down.
The downsides to this hotel were Reception- we didnt arrive until early hours and it took nearly an hour to check us in- there was only one person on the desk and quite a few arrivals.
Our shower was blocked, we did mention this to Reception on day 2 and we didnt have matinance turn up until day 4 to which their plunger was broken so couldnt do anything, so our shower never got fixed.
The lifts were very annoying, we were on the 7th floor and it took about 10 minutes to wait for this to arrive then we would end up stopping on pretty much every floor.
Food became a bit of the same near the end of our stay.
Sunbeds- now this was an issue- you aren't meant to put a towel on the bed until 10am and they had advised that someone would be around to remove the towels- I never saw this happen and there would be people putting towels down around 6am! Our first day we didnt come down until 11am due to us arriving early hours and there were no sunbeds, we ended up sitting on some chairs for the day and then had to partake in the early get up in order to get a sunbed.
Room- yes the beds were comfy but I would have liked a double bed rather than two singles pushed together and I would have liked the kids to be in a proper bed, not a sofa bed.
Overall- its a lovely hotel, for the price we paid we did get a bargain. The views are stunning.
The animation team and the bar staff are incredible and a real credit to this hotel.
Would we come here again? We aren't sure, we loved our week stay but I think the room could have been better. If we paid the price we paid again then we most likely will come back.
What an amazing week!
We are on our final day at this beautiful hotel and everything has been perfect!! The pools and dining areas are clean and well maintained. The rooms have a stunning view of the sea and again, are well kept and clean. There is a wide selection of foods at mealtimes and the snack bar is great! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the entertainment crew are so fun! We had a massage overlooking the sea and it was beautiful. Overall, would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will definitely be returning!!
Overall a good holiday
Me & my boyfriend just returned from a week holiday here, so these are my options:
my pros: Entertainment was amazing, views are unmatched, the rooms were clean & everything was working fine, about 15min walk to the beach but it’s so worth it, hotel was beautiful. Cons: they cut your band off at 12:00 on checkout day so if you have a late flight you either pay €25 to keep it or you can’t eat or drink for the remainder of the day, reception staff are rude & unhelpful, cocktails & smoothies you have to pay for even if your all inclusive, if your a young couple there isn’t much around to do (we had to drive an hour to do an activity), the food is repetitive & the lifts are awful we were on the ninth floor and we were waiting 10mins for the lift everyday and it would stop on every single floor on the way down.
Overall I feel like the pros outweigh the cons & we would definitely go back in the future.
