This was our 2nd visit to the 'Africamar', after a 37 year gap!  Yes, things were different this time.  Last time we had 3 young children with us. It was a wonderful surprise to find that it was still owned by the same Family.  Meeting their extended Family was great, although it did make us feel old!  This time the two of us were simply wanting an easy, relaxing, 'crash-out' week. Our suite was on the 3rd floor, and created from combining 2 bedrooms, with one of the bathrooms converted into a well equipped kitchen.  Our long balcony had views down to the sea, and the headlands by Alcudia.  We did our own breakfasts and some light-lunches. A bonus was the ALDI supermarket only 200 metres away, along the main road. During the day, it was very relaxing sitting by the pool, enjoying a drink, and chatting with  other visitors.  The Bar, and reception, services were under the charge of the delightful, hyperactive Melisano. These roles were carried out by Natcho in the evenings. In close proximity to the Hotel, along the path down to the Beach, were a wide choice of Bars & Restaurants, several of which we visited.  Yes, we enjoyed our time in and around the Africamar, and would recommend it for those wanting an easy, relaxing time.

Rooms was massive!  And had double beds kitchen could perhaps do with a microwave oven for extra meal options for SC. 
Our view was pool lovely we had one night of upstairs noise and hotel dealt with it amazing! Can’t fault 

We was there with friends in other rooms for my husbands 50th party had children and adults and hotel worked for all , it’s clean and tidy and staff so nice

Highly recommend this place! Staff were so friendly, will definitely stay again, Melissa and Nacho behind the bar made our stay extra special. Clean room, expecting the worst from the amount we paid, lifelong memories for an affordable price. Thankyou guys!<3

Will definitely return

The first time we have stayed at hotel Africa Mar and we will definitely be back.   Rooms are big with plenty of storage and a very comfortable bed and a small fridge.   The bathroom had a fantastic walk in shower and a hairdryer.    The owners and staff are very friendly, the bar/lounge is large with comfortable seating and the pool though not the biggest is well appointed with lovely loungers and seating.

Great value for money

I stayed in Africamar with my husband the last week of October. I can honestly say that we have travelled all over the world and have NEVER had service or hospitality like what we received from Juan, Deirdre and their family. To begin, the hotel is basic- a comfortable 3 star. However, it is spotlessly clean and perfectly serviceable. It was so refreshing to stay in a hotel that was family owned- the family were always in the property, they remembered names and small details, such a difference to a 5 star property that is top facilities but little personal touch. On our final day, our coach was not collecting us until 5pm. We were due to leave our room at 10am and as it was the final day of the season were at a very loose end. Deirdre and her son Juan welcomed us to stay in the hotel even though it was closed. They gave us coffee, cake and said allowing us to stay around was a pleasure. Nacho and Melissa were absolutely outstanding on the bar, nothing was too much trouble. In short, is it basic- yes, is it 5 star- no… but if you want a friendly property that makes me feel so important, this is the place for you. We have already booked to go again next year. The location is exceptional also, right beside the bus stop to Palma, Alcudia etc. Beach very close and shops literally on your doorstep.

Outstanding family run hotel

This popular aparthotel is centrally located in the holiday resort of Can Picafort and surrounded by numerous shops, restaurants, bars and cafés. The beautiful white sandy beach is just a few steps away, the natural park S'Albufera and the town of Alcúdia can be reached within a short drive. The island capital of Palma and the international airport are 55 km and 67 km away, respectively.
