Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I felt I needed to leave a review as I spotted many many bad reviews before this holiday that put me off a little.
I stayed here for 10 days yes the food was basic somedays and lacked variety but was always plenty you could choose from even for the fussiest of eaters. You usually know what you get when it comes to all inclusive food. The canteen was always clean and tidy and plenty staff cleaning tables ready for the next customer.
The pool, yes it was extremely busy somedays but I think people forget that during summer holidays is when family friendly hotels are at their busiest. People do reserve beds as early as 6-7am but we didnt miss out on beds most days, although we used the beach half of the time we were there. The pool is a decent size, it gets a little overcrowded with sunbeds if you like a bit extra space you wont get it here in busy season. The beach is within walking distance and easily reached at the back of the hotel.
The rooms were on the small side especially as we needed to pull out the sofa bed. We needed to do a little bit of a climb if my son was resting or sleeping and we wanted to be on the balcony. Plenty of space for clothing and kettle, mini fridge in the room. Bathroom was spacious and clean towels were brought to us Entertainment and room was cleaned daily.
Plenty for children to do and plenty evening entertainment for children. Even got my son to join with kids club which he enjoyed as he wasnt going to join in until a member of kids club come and spoke to him.
If i can pick fault at anything it would be the lack of alcohol in the cocktails, pretty sure most times they skipped the alcohol and didnt put it in if they didnt feel like it.
Overall I would stay here again, was it busy yes, but it was to be expected in the summer holidays at a family friendly hotel. I think people can just be too picky sometimes. If you want a want a sunbed then recommended before 8am. We didnt mind the food but we dined out half the time if we were eating there daily then it would be nice to have more options available. I also see people mentioning a lack of snacks but they did have a snack bar available daily also
Positives:entertainment/ kids team 10/10 Amazing. Restaurant, bar staff cleaning staff 10/10 amazing. Family of 6, two kids aged 10 and 2. Negatives: made to move rooms 3 times in 7 days, firstly placed in rooms of 4 instead of two rooms of 3 which was booked so made to move following day secondly a flood through the ceiling and thirdly no aircon after 48hrs in 36 degree heat which was unfixable by maintenance. A member of our party had an Achilles injury in a boot with crutches which made moving and repacking cases unbearable. Reception staff and management 0/10. Visited this hotel 3 times we will never return after this terrible experience.
We’ve just returned from a 5-night stay at Sol Palmanova, and overall we had a really lovely holiday. ❤️☀️
📍 Location – 10/10
The location really is one of the best things about this hotel. You’re just a short walk from the beautiful Palmanova beach, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants right on your doorstep. Everything is so convenient, and we absolutely love Palmanova itself. 🏖️🌴
🧼 Cleanliness – 10/10
The hotel was very clean. We saw staff constantly cleaning and maintaining the communal areas, and our room was cleaned regularly with fresh towels provided. The whole hotel was well looked after.
👩💼 Staff – 10/10
The reception staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming whenever we needed anything. We also found the staff around the hotel to be lovely and hardworking.
🍳 Food – 6/10
Breakfast was probably our favourite meal and there was a good amount of choice. Lunch was Okay!
Dinner, however, was a little disappointing for us. There was plenty of food available, but we found the evening meals quite repetitive and they weren't really to our taste.
That said, food is very subjective and there was always something available to eat.
🏊♀️ Pool & Sunbeds – 6/10
The pools were clean but it could get very busy, especially around the main pool. It was quite overcrowded
The sunbed situation was probably our biggest annoyance. People were reserving beds very early, which meant you had to be up early if you wanted a good spot.
The solarium was a completely different experience, though. It was much quieter and we really enjoyed spending time up there. ☀️
🛏️ Room – 7/10
We stayed in Sol 2 in a pool-view room. The room was quite basic, but it did everything we needed it to do.
We actually really liked having the pool view because we could sit on the balcony and watch the entertainment without having to be right in the middle of everything. We're not the most social people, so that suited us perfectly! 😂
The rooms aren't huge, but we weren't spending much time in ours anyway.
🎤 Entertainment
There was always something going on, with entertainment throughout the day and in the evening. The entertainment team work really hard and there was plenty to keep families occupied.
🍹 All Inclusive – Would We Do It Again?
This is probably where we would make a different choice next time.
We really enjoyed the hotel, but we found ourselves eating out at restaurants in Palmanova most evenings. Because of that, we didn't feel we got the full value from the all-inclusive package.
❤️ Would We Stay Again?
Probably not at this particular hotel — but that's not because we had a bad experience.
We absolutely love Palmanova and would happily return again and again. ❤️
For us, the hotel is much more suited to families who want an all-inclusive holiday with plenty happening on site. We were spending more time exploring Palmanova and eating out, so self-catering suits us much better.
In fact, we've already booked for next year!
⭐️ Our Overall Rating: 7/10
A clean, friendly and well-located hotel with lots going for it. The location is fantastic, the staff are lovely and the hotel is well maintained.
Our main negatives were the busy pool area, the early-morning sunbed competition and the evening food not quite being to our taste.
Would we recommend it? Yes — especially for families looking for an all-inclusive holiday.
Would we return? Probably not, but we would absolutely return to Palmanova.
Sometimes it's not the hotel you fall in love with… it's the place. And for us, that's definitely Palmanova! 🌴☀️❤️
This hotel looks nice on the surface but the rooms are very small and need refurbished, the bathroom flooded everytime we took a shower. The restaurant was clean and the staff worked very had but we struggled to find a clean plate, there was often food left on the plates and they felt dirty. The snack bar was dirty and the staff there were quite rude when we asked for cones for the kids to have icecream. The pool entertainment was good and most of the staff were very nice and friendly.
The location is perfect. Close to the beach, bars and restaurants. Entertainment staff are wonderful however reception staff very unfriendly and unapproachable - poor check in experience. The food is extremely poor. We ate out every day as a result. Lastly, the rooms are unsuitable for more than 2 guests. We had to unpack and leave suitcases on the balcony and upon packing discovered cockroaches in the sealed suitcases. I would not return.
