Tropico Playa

Very nice chef, always asked if the food was good. The food was phenomenal, lots of seafood and lots of different cuisines. Never got bored of it. The churros were a bit raw and not crunchy... but that's the only thing that I can point out. Nice, clean pool, a bit small, often gets crowded. AC was working, rooms were clean. Excellent, proffesional service. The restaurant wasn't crowded, it was small, but somehow still managed to be quite empty and we could always find a table for us. The stay was great :D

We had a wonderful one- week stay at the Hotel Palia Tropico Playa and truly enjoyed every moment of our vacation. The hotel is in a perfect location diretly opposite the beach and within walking distance of numerous bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. The rooms are modern, stylish and very comfortable. Housekeeping does excellent job and the rooms are kept spotless every day. The food was delicious, fresh and offered a wide variety of options. There was an excellent selection of both meat and fish dishes, pizza, plenty of fresh fruit, several kinds of cakes and desserts and even a variety of ice cream available every day. The entire staff was incredibly kind, friendly and always willing to help. We would especially like to thank Monica, who led the daily stretching sessions and organized the evening entertainment, for example music on demand or bingo. She was always friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and made every activity enjoyable. We would also like to thank the hotel manager who always had a warm smile and a kind word for every guest making everyone feel truly welcomed. We wouls definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Palmanova.

Our second stay at the hotel and we decided to book the side sea view this year after we were unimpressed with the sea view room last year. The side view was cheaper but the room was a big improvement on last years room. The room was bigger with a bigger balcony and the view was actually much better. Not sure why the sea view rooms are more expensive? The hotel is very clean and the food is really good. The adult pool on the roof is lovely although I get the impression the hotel was short staffed as the bar on the roof was not staffed for long periods. The staff were much friendly than last year and made us feel really welcome. We had an issue with our door lock on day 1 and it was sorted immediately. The entertainment is really poor and the pool bar is empty at night however guests can use the bar at the front of the hotel at night which overlooks the beach and has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Air con was excellent which was lucky at the outside temperature was 35 degrees at night. Location is excellent and close to all the good bars and restaurants. A nice hotel just lacking atmosphere in the evenings which is not a problem if you are happy to go out to the local bars
