Lovely hotel ,a few minor issues
Stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago, we liked it that much we went back again.Things haven’t changed much but the only thing that has is the back gate entry, before you could walkout the back gate and be in the resort now you have to walk down the hotel ramp and walk down the street, I was told the only reason was security issues. The hotel itself is very clean and the food is very good drinks are reasonably priced as well. We paid extra for a partial seat view room, we knew the hotel was close to the Mega park but our room gave us 40% sea view and 60% Mega park, also every morning you woke up to bottles being sorted out from the night before. You could always get a sun bed around the pool obviously the best ones go first, I put 2 towels down one morning before breakfast went back and they had been removed, I know this is a problem for a lot of hotels. We would go back if they sorted the back gate out and have a pool view room

EXCEPTIONAL 10/10
I spent 5 nights (14-19th Sept) at Hipotels Play de Palma, with my wife. We wish we had booked more, and will certainly be returning in the future. Having read other reviews, it is beyond me how anyone can criticise this hotel or the staff. The hotel is spotlessly clean, very spacious, and the rooms are a brilliant size. Our room overlooked the road and was close to the Mega Park (a nearby entertainment facility), however this was not an issue, the room was extremely quiet at night, no noise pollution at all.....we slept so well. The cleaning staff and grounds maintenance do an amazing job, everywhere you go, the place looks brand new. We found ALL staff to be incredibly friendly, always smiling, an absolute joy to be around and a real credit to this hotel. I would like to highlight one member of staff (I believe her name is Zora?....who works in the poolside bar and restaurant). What an extremely lovely lady, so smiley, happy and very helpful with any queries. The food selection at all meals is impeccable, and so nice. My wife has some food allergies and she ate very well and safely at all meals with no issues. This hotel is so convenient for the airport, and can be accessed by the regular A2 bus that stops very close to the hotel. Also busses into Palma are easy & very cheap, the 25 bus also stops directly outside the back of the hotel. Hipotels Playa de Palma is easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We can find no criticism whatsoever, and we look forward to returning there some time. Thank you so much for a lovely stay 😘
Excellent, professional staff, very clean hotel 25 minutes bus rifde from Palma
We stayed for a week in two sea view rooms at the end of August. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms are of a very large size for two people with plenty of wardrobe space and a great bathroom with large walk in shower. Food at both the buffet breakfast and evening dinner was very good. Along with the usual hot and cold options for breakfast there was the possibility to have freshly made omelettes. At dinner plenty of salads and other starters at the buffet, one different roast meat every day plus two freshly cooked fish and meat dishes. Plenty of other main meal dishes and pizza and pasta options. The restaurant terrace next to the pools was very pleasant to eat in and at breakfast there was a second restaurant open which meant the restaurants were never too crowded. The first morning we received a satisfaction email enquiry from the hotel management to which we replied that even though waterpolo was advertised as an animation activity on the hipotels gran playa de Palma website and has been available at the 4 other hipotels we have stayed at there was no waterpolo organised during the week of our stay. The hotel reacted to this and organised water polo sessions on three different days of our 6 day stay. We appreciated this very much. The hotel is just across the road from a nice beach and warm sea. The surrounding area is quite commercialised with many young Germans though it was not disruptive for us. The hotel is right next to a bus stop that goes a few times an hour to the city of Palma in about 25 minutes. Palma is very much worth a visit along with its beautiful cathedral. We also went twice to the 9th floor heaven bar at the top of the neighbouring 5 star Hipotels Playa de Palma Palace which has great views and the price of a beer is quite reasonable at 5.5 EUR for a large beer though the cocktails are quite pricey at 14.50 EUR. In conclusion, Hipotels Gran playa de Palma is a great hotel: friendly staff, extremely clean, excellent food and two very large nice swimming pools. The staff also remove towels from unoccupied sunbeds around 10:00 am so you can always easily get a sunlounger. There is also free parking if you book directly with the hotel. Would definitely recommend especially if you want to visit Palma city which is easily accessible with a frequent bus service. Thanks to Ronald one of the waiters for his friendly service and wine recommendations at dinner and to Sam and Anna of the animation team for organising the waterpolo sessions.

Absolutely amazing!
The hotel is absolutely amazing! We wanted a mix of a relaxing holiday and seeing Palma and that is exactly what we got. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel to get right to Palma cathedral! The rooms are very spacious, clean and perfect for couples! We were worried about the noise as our room was facing the very popular ‘mega park’ but once our balcony door was closed we couldn’t hear a thing. The pool area is great, lovely and clean. They also have an amazing indoor spa and pool, which was great when there was small rain showers some days. We stayed bed and breakfast which the food was lovely, we only had the hotel evening meal twice and the selection was brilliant. The hotel is in great walking distance of loads of bars and restaurants, and the beach!! Staff were so friendly and the evening entertainment was great, often a singer, which was lovely whilst we played cards and had a drink. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, we will definitely be back one day!
Don’t take a ball to the wrong pool!!
Nice hotel in itself, with some very strange rules and things missing that you’d think were a bare minimum for an apparent 4* hotel.
Place is spotless, although the overzealous “lifeguards” are off putting. Don’t dare bring an inflatable anywhere near the pools! Also bring a ball to the wrong pool and you get a very public dressing down!
No inflatables on a holiday?? Seems strange when you have 2 large pools.
You also get no attention from waiting staff and have to pester them to get served, although most of them are very nice. No coffee or any offer of drinks at any of the meals is below what I’d expect also.
Area is the German Magaluf not the hotels fault but be aware.
Beach also isn’t looked after too well with refuse a regular sight on there.
Nice hotel but massively overpriced with some weird rules.
