An honest review!
An honest review! The location is convenient – not far from the airport and close to the sea (a 5-minute walk). The room was new and clean, with high-quality and regular cleaning, but we ran out of shampoo quickly! The hotel grounds and swimming pool – there’s hardly any outdoor space; the pool area is small and not very comfortable, as is the pool itself. Food – a major downside: limited choice of dishes, and the menu is very monotonous! Breakfast is a buffet. Dinner is à la carte, with a limited and monotonous selection of dishes. On the plus side, there was gluten-free bread, but you constantly had to ask for it, and they’d only give you one roll, sometimes two if you insisted strongly (I have a condition that means I can’t eat anything containing gluten! I felt uncomfortable having to ask for just one or two rolls each time; I had to wait up to 10 minutes, which was a bit humiliating! The food is the hotel’s weak point. The spa has two saunas and a swimming pool – small, cosy and pleasant! Another major downside was the rowdy hotel guests who were getting drunk and making a racket late at night, disturbing my sleep! I wouldn’t stay at this hotel a second time! I have plenty to compare it with, and for this price range I’ve stayed at hotels with higher standards of food and service!

Piece of paradise in Paradiso Garden
Very welcoming, well appointed and relaxing Hotel which we booked for a couple of nights after unexpectedly having to extend our holiday in Majorca.

We stayed in a swim-up room and had preselected J14 via the website, as emailed reception to ask which balconies had less shade (following earlier reviews). We were allocated J14 and the room was ready for us when we arrived… great. The balconies do have shade in the morning, but a welcome break from the August heat! If you prefer shade book a lower number - rooms J12-J15 had full sun in afternoon - perfect for us with cool pool to dip straight in to. As we were visiting for a rest, we had room service few times on our balcony and the food was all of a very high standard and the cocktails beautiful (and strong!) Great value for money. The hotel is spotlessly clean and every staff member very friendly - 10/10. We selected B&B, and it’s great that breakfast is served until 1pm - no early alarms. Good variety of food and the chef making the omelettes to order was very good, and she had a lovely manner with all the guests. The only thing I’d recommend the hotel changes is the location of the table tennis and pool table - which were just outside our swim-up room. This made our retreat a little less luxurious as less privacy with young people playing games just opposite (if you want to avoid this but have full sun I’d go for J12 or J13)

nice holiday overall
Lovely hotel, nice pool all be it a bit small for the size of the hotel , nice breakfast served till 1pm, pool opens at 10am so quite chilled and no mad rush for sun beds, room had a good sized balcony with a lovely sea and pool view , room was nice and clean but not overly big and very limited storage space with no drawers at all, great location 5 minutes walk to the beach and nice sea front restaurants/bars . the resort its self is nice , quite a lot of German bars as apposed to British or Irish bars , my only negative would be that our Jet 2 transfer did not drop us off or pick us up the hotel but at a corner about 180 yards away from the hotel which if you have any walking difficulties or young children could be problematic

Disappointing stay - Swim up room not worth the extra cost!
We stayed for 3 nights as a surprise for my partner’s birthday and unfortunately left feeling quite disappointed, especially considering we paid extra for a swim-up room.
The hotel itself is beautiful, modern and in a great location, with shops, bars and restaurants nearby and the beach only a few minutes’ walk away.
Unfortunately, the biggest issue was our swim-up room (J10). The terrace received little to no direct sunlight due to a large building blocking it for most of the day. We specifically raised this with reception and were just told that the room ‘definitely gets sun’ only to return and find it completely shaded. We were also told there was nothing they could do. If you’re booking a swim-up room, I would strongly recommend contacting the hotel beforehand and requesting rooms J11–15 rather than anything before J10, as our J10 room received very little sunlight.
After contacting the Jet2 in-resort helper, who spoke to the hotel on our behalf. We asked about downgrading to a standard room and receiving a partial refund for the swim-up upgrade, but were told this wasn’t possible due to the paperwork involved to do this with it being a short 3-night stay. Personally, we found this very disappointing, as it left us paying extra for a facility we couldn’t enjoy at all!!
Despite the fact we couldn’t sunbathe and use the swim up balcony to our advantage, the pool was also extremely cold, and unfortunately our swim-up pool had quite a lot of dirt and leaves around the steps and pool floor. We didn’t use the main pool during our stay as it appeared very overcrowded and finding a sunbed looked difficult.
Breakfast was okay — nothing particularly special, but it had the basics and one big positive was that it was served until 1pm, which was great for a relaxed morning.
One other thing worth mentioning is that, as a couple in our 20s, we felt quite out of place. The hotel seemed to mainly cater towards older guests and larger groups, so the atmosphere wasn’t really what we expected.
Overall, while the hotel to look at itself is lovely and the location it’s in is excellent, we were unfortunately very disappointed with our stay and wouldn’t return.
