The nearest sandy beach is a mostly downhill walk, just 10 minutes away. This was our 2nd time here. Firstly our jet 2 transfer was only about 25 minutes. Quick check in. Free room safe. Rooms are quite spacious with comfy beds. Rooms cleaned every day. If you want your sheets changing just leave the card on your pillow. Breakfast was the usual full English and lots of fruit and cereals. Lunch was ok. Evening meal was a bit hit and miss. We're not picky eaters but did struggle to find a proper meal some nights. We did find that they weren't very quick in replenishing food and quite often there were ques of people waiting for things to be filled up again. Ice cream out the whippy ice cream machine was lovely when it worked. All the staff worked really hard and are a credit to the hotel. There was no Aircon on anywhere in the hotel and when we were there the first couple of days were 31 and 30. There is Aircon in your room. The pool areas are really nice with nice comfy sun loungers. There is a snack bar during the day serving burgers, hotdogs, chips, fruit crisps, some desserts and tubs of ice-cream. The evening entertainment at the pool bar was excellent. All brilliant acts and definitely worth seeing or if you prefer to there is a bar at the front of the hotel where they have singers on every night. All in all we had a lovely time and would recommend this hotel. Just for us the food let it down a little. Last but not least if you are getting picked up for an early transfer home tell reception the day before and you can go for breakfast at 7am if you don't you won't be let in the restaurant. Accomodation
We were honoured with our request of a high floor with pool view in room 436. Only a hand full of rooms on the east side of the building have a sea view. The room and hotel in general was spotless. The room was spacious with plenty of storage space and the shower water pressure was better than at home :) One of the few downsides to the room was the air conditioning was very very weak and didn't appear to be working as it should, room temperature made sleeping difficult.
Every room has a large spacious balcony. Be careful not to lock yourself out of the room as we had to rescue a neighbour who accidentally closed her balcony door behind her and was unable to open and needed help.
We were unable to play cards/ have drinks on the balcony at night as the balcony lights were all turned off over the entire complex just after midnight, like we were on some form of curfew, perhaps as a way of forcing guests to go to sleep. It would be good to have the choice on when to go to bed and not have someone else turn the lights off.
There was a lifeguard on duty, pool is open from 1000/1800 daily.
There is no need to get up early to reserve a sunbed as the pool staff swiftly removed any towels before the pool opened to prevent people reserving sunbeds. If for example you placed a towel down, your towel and belongings are removed after 5 minutes, great to see this enforced and keeps it fair for everyone.
Pool Bar has quick service but is fairly expensive.
Would stay at this hotel again thou.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk up a steep hill from the restaurants at the beach area. However there are mobility scooters to hire for those that need.

Amazing
This hotel is absolutley amazing , the staff in every department is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and they all work their butts off. The location is great your not too far from all bars , shops and beach but far enough not to be in the hustle and bustle. The atmopshere is great everyone is polite and cheery. The animation team are always on point for all ages there is something for everyone. The sun beds are never an issue there is always some available. The downside is the hills it is quite a steep slope down to the hotel although it is short. The entertainment around the pool at night is very hit and miss but thats just our preferance. We had an room with a pool veiw and it was great to sit and watch the entertainment if we didn't feel like going down to actually watch it with everyone else. The cleaners are cery attentive and absolutley amazing at what they do same as the staff in the dinner hall. The food is great there is always something for everyone and its buffet style. There is some negatives for us which is, i wish the room was bigger as a family of 4 we felt cramped and not much storage to put cases etc, its great if your out all day but due to me having chronic illness we have to have a break in our room. We did have an issue which i wont state as i dont want to put people off with as it really is a 1 time problem and isn't a regular occurance as we have visited several times before and never had it happen, we notified reception about the issue and they informed secruity, secruity was straight on the issue and tried to resolve it asap. Reception and managament couldn't apologise enough and allowed us to keep out room on till 6pm for no extra cost, i insisted we pay the 45 euros but they just wouldn't have it. Around lunch time we had a knock on our door and it was a lovely lady with some complimentary water and snacks and dips as an apology which was so greatful for but it really wasn't neccassary as allowing us to have the room till late was very much appreciated. All in all this hotel is outstanding for anyone of any age and i will be back again.

I recommend GF fanabe in Tenerife to families and children and friends and couples and grandparents if you go there for breakfast it is nice breakfast and the staff are very friendly and the rooms are very clean and tidy and the beds are very comfortable and the swimming pools are very clean and very good

First time
First time at the hotel and first time in Tenerife and will definitely be coming back again. The location of the hotel is what we found tricky as my partner is disabled so going down to the beach front was hard. We know for next time to hire a scooter so we can get down there with no problems . We had an accessible room , the room was big and spacious. It had a wet room , the only problem was when using the shower the floor got really wet and my partner found that difficult to walk on as he isn’t good on his feet but the shower seat was a good touch. The pool is okay , one part is deep where you can’t touch the floor. There is enough beds for everyone and having a disabled badge for the toilets really helped as I could take my partner to the toilet not have to worry about our towels being taken. The only problem is when you take him to the toilet the floor is always wet which makes it harder then it needs to be so maybe asking people to shoes on once they have been in the pool to help disabled people out .There is three pools so a lot of choice . The food is what you expect but there was always something for us to eat. The entertainment team have been amazing so a big shout out to Alexandra and the team. They made sure my partner was involved. Staff are friendly and always on hand to help which makes the whole experience better .
