Hovima Costa Adeje

Don’t come to this hotel unless you want to be spoken to like rubbish. We are a family of 5, the bar staff were rude the first day we got here so the first impression of the hotel was that staff aren’t friendly and don’t want to help. We then witnessed other guests being spoken poorly to in the buffet restaurant. The food is disgusting the pasta one of the nights had nacho cheese sauce mixed into it - criminal really. The lifeguard kicked people out the pool for throwing a ball as this was not allowed but no information anywhere to say this was a rule - quite a poor rule too as other guests were also disappointed by this and they had water polo on in the day so contradictory to this rule. When complained on the 3rd day to say enough enough we wanted to move hotels as the fun police and rude staff were ruining our trip the TUI rep said we would have to pay €500 p/p to move anywhere else regardless of whether the hotel we would get moved to was worth this or not. And then said if we did complain, TUI wouldn’t do anything anyway! The whole place is a joke they don’t take you seriously and treat you like rubbish, you can’t change a poor atmosphere hence why we wanted to move. We never ever complain but this hotel put us off using TUI never mind the hotel itself. Don’t bother booking unless you’re a boring old fart with no personality that doesn’t mind eating what could only be described as a dogs dinner for tea each night.

Room 638,we stayed drom 23rd July to August 6th our 9th stay at the Hovima. We had a wonderful time,as usual the staff were fantastic and it was lovely that branded drinks have been added this year. We went we friends and met some lovely people. Only real negatives Air con in Cool bar and restuarant was not cool enough and wifi not very good. However we will return. Graeme & Jackie Cook
