IBEROSTAR Anthelia

Great location in Costa Adeje near Playa Fanebe. The welcome has a wow factor from the start, luggage taken straight from the coach to your room. The reception is warm, friendly including a hot lemon towel to refresh after your journey from the airport. Also a free welcome drink to start your holiday is a salubrious setting. The room (Duplex with partial sea view) was amazing with its split level with sleeping and bathroom on each floor. Very comfortable, clean and just right for the three of us. The pool and pool bar at Barito was where we gravitated to as it was more a relaxed setting. However we did venture over to the main pool to watch other activities. All the staff (everyone of them) were so warm, friendly and hard working , nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant food was out of this world and catered for the various tastes whether vegetarian, vegan, gluten free. So much variety both at Breakfast and Tea. Staff attentive to your every need, and making you feel special. Eating inside or outside the experience was fantastic. Overall we love this place and even on our return from last year it didn’t disappoint only did what is was intended and that was pure enjoyment from start to finish.

Mum and I have been travelling together ever since my dad passed away. We both absolutely love travelling, exploring new places and experiencing everything a destination has to offer, so whenever we can, we like to spend 3–4 weeks away together. This year, we were lucky enough to spend 18 wonderful days at Iberostar Anthelia, and it was a very special stay for us.

Mum’s health hasn’t been the best this year, so naturally I was a little apprehensive about how she would manage such a long stay away from home. From the moment we arrived, however, the hotel made such a positive difference. The staff were incredibly understanding and accommodating, making sure Mum had everything she needed without ever making her feel that she was compromising or missing out. That level of care meant so much to both of us and allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday together.

We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis, which is something we particularly enjoy because we love getting out of the hotel, exploring the area and experiencing the local restaurants and places around us. Breakfast at the hotel was absolutely lovely, with a plentiful choice and plenty to suit everyone. It was a wonderful way to start each day.

The staff throughout the hotel were simply amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everyone we met was caring, kind, friendly and genuinely helpful. The managers deserve a special mention too. They were always visible and approachable, regularly checking in with guests to see how they were doing and taking the time to stop for a chat. It gave the hotel such a warm and personal atmosphere.

We also really enjoyed the animation team. They were enthusiastic, friendly and lovely with everyone, and the craft activities were a particularly nice touch. They created opportunities to get involved without ever making anyone feel pressured, which was perfect for us.

Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable, giving us a lovely place to relax after days spent exploring. Reception staff were always helpful, welcoming and happy to assist with anything we needed.

After 18 days, we left feeling genuinely looked after and with some very happy memories. For Mum and me, this holiday was about much more than simply staying in a hotel — it was another chapter in our travels together and precious time that we will always treasure.
