Well be warned the aircon is disgusting, in fact it’s non existent. It has been 29 degrees today and in the restaurant no air con or in upstairs bar. We went to espress our concerns but after talking to several others they choose to ignore us. The room aircon only goes down to 24 degrees. I wouldn’t mind but it’s a 4 star rating. The aircon should be second to none.

We arrived at the hotel at around 10pm and were greeted by the reception staff with a cold glass of fizz and a very warm welcome. Check-in was quick and friendly. We had originally booked one double room for myself, my husband and our 20-year-old daughter (rookie error!), so I asked at reception about getting an extra room. Unfortunately, the guy on reception couldn’t help at that time, but he suggested we speak to Guest Services in the morning or check online. We did just that, and were able to change our booking to adjoining rooms at a very reasonable additional cost. This made our stay much more comfortable and was definitely worth doing.

The hotel itself is fabulous. The all-inclusive package is absolutely worth the money, particularly because the food is outstanding. Each evening had a different theme, including Italian, Spanish, seafood, Asian, Moroccan and Greek, to name just a few. The standard of the food was excellent, with plenty of fresh dishes and chefs cooking to order. Breakfast included everything from freshly made omelettes, while in the evening there was sea bass, tuna, king prawns and much more cooked fresh on the grill.

There’s also a buffet-style snack bar outside by the pool, which is ideal if you don’t want to head into the main restaurant. This offered wraps, fresh salads, burgers, chicken, fish fingers, chips, onion rings and pizza, so there was always something available.

The all-inclusive drinks were also very good. There were drinks available on tap, including a decent lager, as well as inside and outside bar service. Non-premium spirits and cocktails were included, and the measures were extremely generous — sometimes there seemed to be more vodka than mixer in the glass! Bottles of wine or fizz were also available on request. The wines were all very drinkable and on a par with the sort of house wine you’d get in the UK.

The pool isn’t the biggest, but as we stayed in September it never seemed particularly crowded. You do need to play the usual towel game and reserve a sunbed if you want to be right by the pool, although getting three beds at around 8:30–9am was never a problem for us.

Everywhere was very clean and tidy. The public areas of the hotel are in much better condition than some of the stairs and bedrooms, which could probably do with a little TLC, but this certainly didn’t bother us or affect our stay.

We had a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the car park and road. It wasn’t the best view, so if we returned, I would definitely pay extra for a room with a balcony overlooking the pool.

The staff are what really make this hotel amazing. Every single member of staff works incredibly hard to make sure guests have the best possible stay, and they are a real credit to the hotel.

The entertainment team were fantastic too, with activities throughout the day, including yoga and archery, followed by a live show every evening. The only negative point for us was that there isn’t enough outdoor seating for everyone to watch the evening shows. If you want to get a seat, you need to eat early and be outside by around 7:30pm, otherwise you’ll struggle. This is definitely something the hotel could improve.

We were also able to arrange a late checkout as we had a late flight, meaning we could keep our room until 6pm, which was fantastic and made the last day much more relaxing.

All in all, we absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is fabulous, the food is excellent, the all-inclusive package is well worth it, and the staff are fantastic. There are a few areas that could do with some TLC and the lack of seating for the evening entertainment could be improved, but neither took away from what was a brilliant holiday.

We would definitely return and would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone considering booking it.

A great value for money hotel. Attentive staff and lovely food. A couple of minor down sides. The aircon will not go below 22 degrees which is inadequate in hotter weather. Also no table or chairs in my room.
