Beautiful Hotel, But Johnny Makes It Unforgettable
We’ve had the most amazing stay at HOVIMA Suites. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are immaculate, the rooms are gorgeous and everything feels so well looked after. From the moment you arrive, it has such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and you can tell how much care goes into making guests feel welcome. WiFi could be better around the pool and obviously still some noise from renovations.
But what has genuinely made our stay so special is Johnny.
He is one of those people who completely changes your experience of a hotel. So warm, friendly, funny and genuinely interested in making sure everyone is having the best time. Nothing ever feels forced, he just has such a natural way with people and always manages to put a smile on your face.
There are lots of beautiful hotels in Tenerife, but it’s the people who make you want to return, and Johnny is absolutely the reason we would come back to HOVIMA Suites. He is a real credit to the hotel and someone they should be incredibly proud to have on their team.
Everything about our stay has been wonderful, but Johnny has made it unforgettable. We’ll genuinely be sad to leave and already can’t wait to come back. ❤️
Hovima suites
Best part of this holiday was the animation team here worked tirelessly to make your holiday fun. Well done. Every other aspect of the hotel, rooms, food, drinks and general areas were average, not great not bad would I return.., the jury is out on that one.
6 nights prefect break
Location is prefect short walk to the beach, restaurants and bars.
Rooms are very clean and tidy with good space. Everything you need from small fridge in the room.
Entertainment team are very good and work hard all day and night. They are very friendly with good pool activities. Very good atmosphere around the hotel, friendly staff. We loved the roof top bar stunning views amazing service and cocktails.
We did 6 nights AL very good value for what we paid. Something for everyone to eat and drink all throughout the day!
Lovely getaway
Me and my friend had a lovely stay for our first holiday together, and overall we really enjoyed our experience.
The food was good, with a lot of different options, and there was also a good choice of drinks. The location was good, and the market wasn’t far away, which was really convenient and gave us something to explore outside of the hotel when it was on.
The animation team really deserve a special mention — they were all amazing and made such an effort. A particular mention to Jonny, who was absolutely brilliant. He was so friendly, approachable and always made the effort to talk to guests and encourage everyone to get involved. You can genuinely tell that he loves what he does, and his enthusiasm really made a difference to our holiday.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable first holiday together and made some lovely memories. Thank you to the team for making our stay so enjoyable!

We’ve just got back from an 8-night stay to celebrate our Anniversary and honestly had a fantastic time.
We stayed on the Exclusive AI package and were given a room on the 5th floor overlooking the adult pool. Our room was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. Being on the Exclusive package came with some nice extra touches, including a pillow menu, a choice of room scents and a free minibar which was restocked daily with whatever drinks we chose from the menu on the hotel app. The safe was also free to use and the pool towels were lovely and big and fluffy.
As Exclusive guests, we had access to the gated solarium area by the adult pool. This was probably one of our favourite areas with lots of really comfortable daybeds. We never had any trouble getting one. If you prefer the other pool areas, there were also plenty of sunbeds available around the hotel.
There’s a little self-service bar in the Exclusive area with beer, cava, soft drinks and water, although the main pool bar is literally just around the corner.
The food was really good throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the à la carte breakfast, which is served in a quieter restaurant. Everything is cooked to order, well presented and full of flavour. We also ate at the Positano restaurant, which was another highlight and definitely worth a visit.
The staff really do make this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but a special mention has to go to Aldo. He showed us around when we arrived and explained everything about the hotel and our room. When our suitcase was damaged by the airline, he even brought us some gaffer tape so we could fix it! He was always smiling and would check that we were okay whenever we saw him, even when we bumped into him outside the hotel. He really is a credit to the hotel.
The entertainment team also work really hard and there was plenty going on. All the activities are listed on the hotel app, so it’s easy to see what’s happening each day. We watched an Elton John tribute, Tina Turner tribute, ABBA tribute and a Chinese acrobat show, so there was definitely a good variety. Roof top bar is perfect for chilling watching the sunset. Not included in AI but lovely cocktails and not too expensive. I can definitely recommend the pina colada.
The location is also great if you fancy getting out and about. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. The local market is also just a short walk away, along with supermarkets and shops which was handy for a wander around and a bit of shopping.
Overall, we had a fantastic 8 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The Exclusive package was definitely worth it for the extra little touches, and the friendly staff, good food, lovely pool areas and great location made it a really enjoyable holiday. We will definitely be coming back next year.
