It offers a wide culinary variety through its various restaurant and buffets. This is the perfect hotel to enjoy a magic vacation. All Modern suites feature limited free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and minibars, plus sofabeds, tea and coffeemaking facilities, and terraces or balconies; some offer ocean views and/or direct access to a shared pool. Family suites add living rooms. Room service is available. Other amenities include 5 restaurants, 6 bars and 3 outdoor pools, plus a kids' water park, a splash pad and 2 playgrounds. Amazing experience
We enjoyed so much our stay at this resort! From clean, spacious rooms to delicious food and so much fun! Both children enjoyed the swimming pools and the activities!

Amazing holiday
Where to begin! I don’t usually leave reviews but felt this was necessary. In all honesty, I thought about changing this hotel from the negative reviews, I had estimated the cost of all the holiday amendments and the only reason I didn’t go ahead with it was because of the surcharge of Jet2. I can honestly say I am SO glad we didn’t go ahead with the change. This hotel is honestly a paradise for the whole family. Yes it can be rowdy from entertainment but there are many areas to go if you want a more quieter experience.
We were shocked at how clean the hotel is, there is an army of staff who work tirelessly to ensure the hotel is spotless. My husband and I are luckily enough to have travelled to many places and we have never had a room so immaculate. The staff were faultless and could not do enough for you. One example, on the first night my daughter had made a friend and they were dancing in the lobby bar, one of the bar staff took it upon themselves to make rainbow slushies for them as a surprise. I felt this was such a personal touch and my daughter was made to feel very special. Despite being so busy, this staff member still made time for the children - I wish I took his name!
The entertainment was great and plentiful - with a range of activities for everyone. The only negative thing I have about the entertainment is the timing of the mini disco and the shows. I have a 3 year old who loves the mini disco however, this is on at 7pm and the first showing of the shows in the theatre are at 7:30pm- the mini disco is on until 7:50 and you are required to queue for the theatre shows 30 mins prior to show time. Therefore, you forfeit the mini disco if you want to see a show or vice versa. I feel timings for evening entertainment could definitely improve.
The food was actually really great, we had no issues and they cook meats fresh in front of you. The buffet restaurant was very clean and food was constantly replenished (even during busy times). We ate at the Italian one night which was lovely, we also ate at the Asian but this wasn’t so great. We ate at the dream factory (pool side restaurant) most days. You have the choice of either fast food or they have a fresh salad/pasta buffet to the side if you would prefer something lighter.
In terms of location, we had a car and travelled all over the island as we don’t tend to like staying at resorts all day. Golf del sur is a lovely place with a few walks and shops/restaurants. Looking back, we definitely felt we would have been happy to stay at this resort the whole time due to so many things to do. Car parking is also very expensive (€15 a day).
Overall, we had an exceptional holiday and have already looked at booking for next year. I have recommended this hotel to all friends and family. I understand that experiences are subject to opinion but I really struggled to fault this hotel, if you are thinking of booking this you won’t be disappointed.

TERRIBLE!! AVOID!!
We stayed at Bahia Principe Explore Fantasia to celebrate our three-year-old son’s birthday, but it turned into one of the most stressful and disappointing family holidays we have experienced.
The most serious issue happened at the snack bar. I ordered a beef burger and did not order the separate burger that contained bacon. After taking a bite, I discovered bacon inside the burger. As a Muslim, I do not eat pork, so this was extremely upsetting.
A restaurant can choose to include bacon in a beef burger, but it must be made clear before the customer orders it. Where there is a separate burger specifically containing bacon, it is entirely reasonable for a guest ordering a beef burger to believe it does not include bacon. I should not have been expected to request “without bacon” when I was never told bacon was included.
When I raised the issue, the response from staff was dismissive. I was told they could make another burger without bacon, but that missed the point completely: I had already unknowingly eaten it. I asked to see the receipt or order record and was told there was none available. I reported the matter to reception and requested management contact me, but nobody followed up during the rest of our stay.
The hotel later replied to my complaint by saying that only the Drago Burger contains bacon. This does not explain why bacon was in the beef burger I received, why no receipt or order record could be shown, or why nobody from management contacted me after such a serious incident.
There were also repeated hygiene concerns. We were given cutlery, glasses and coffee cups that appeared not to have been cleaned properly and had to ask for replacements several times.
Restaurant service was inconsistent and, at times, staff were rude or dismissive. Sometimes we were told to wait for drinks to be brought to the table, while at other times we were told to get them ourselves. With a young child, this made meals unnecessarily stressful.
The children’s slide rules were also applied inconsistently. I was allowed to use the slide with my son at first, then told adults were not allowed, while other adults continued to use it without being stopped.
We were also surprised to learn that some hotel entertainment had limits and additional charges, despite booking an all-inclusive stay. This was not clearly explained to us beforehand.
The hotel’s email response was generic and did not properly address the key issues, investigate the burger incident in a meaningful way, or provide any appropriate resolution.
A family holiday should not leave you feeling stressed, ignored and disrespected. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

Good hotel
A lovely hotel however too many steps for wheelchair /buggy access , although stating all inc there are hidden upgrades such as pattesserie bar isn’t included neither are luxury sunbeds , but all in all it be staff are friendly and helpful any issues raise them and they will deliver
