Mixed review but overall very good
Great budget break — know what you’re booking! ⭐️
Just back from a week here and honestly, we had a great time. This is budget-friendly, self-catering accommodation, not a 5-star resort, so keep your expectations realistic and you’ll enjoy it.
🌊 Room & terrace: We paid for a sea view with balcony/terrace and it was worth every penny! Huge terrace with loungers, table and chairs — it really made our holiday.
🏊 Pools: The main pool is VERY busy. We only found the quieter adults-only pool on our last day 🤦♀️. Much more relaxed, better seating, quicker bar and great shower/changing facilities. Definitely find it!
*⚠️ Entertainment: This was our biggest negative. One animation team member — the guy with glasses — was extremely rude to guests and there were lots of complaints around the pool. Hopefully management takes this seriously.
*🛒 Self-catering: On-site supermarket is reasonably priced and there’s a bigger one nearby. Bring toilet rolls, washing-up liquid, tea/coffee etc. — you’re given very little. A multi-plug is also handy as there aren’t many sockets.
**🛏️ Towels: Only four provided, which we found wasn’t enough as one is needed for the shower floor. Sheets changed weekly.
**🍴 Location: Loads of restaurants for every budget, clean beaches and plenty of shops.
And yes… Heart Attack Hill is REAL! 😂** Taxis are around €5 up the hill, or double scooters are about €20 a day — and everyone seems to use them!
Overall:We were really worried before coming, but ended up having a lovely holiday. Great choice for a budget-friendly self-catering break if you know what to expect. We will come back but as a couple would prefer to use the Beverly Hills side of the complex ❤️
A Great 2 week stay in the Hollywood Mirage
Great hotel! The staff were friendly and the rooms were spacious. It isn't the Ritz, but for the price, it was perfect. We were self-catering and used the kitchen facilities a lot. We were only provided with one baking tray, which could be improved. The air conditioning was brilliant; I often found myself turning it down in the evening because we were too cold.
The hotel is located at the top of a steep hill, although taxis to and from the property are quite affordable. We used them regularly throughout our two-week stay. The hill isn't as bad as some people make it out to be—we walked back from Playa de las Américas to the hotel frequently with no issues. That said, if you have mobility issues or are planning on doing plenty of shopping, a taxi or the hotel shuttle bus is definitely recommended.
A few minor complaints:

The kitchen lacked some basic cooking utensils that would have made meal prep much easier.

The rooms aren't very well soundproofed (though we may have just had noisy neighbours), and we were woken up frequently throughout the night and early morning.

We encountered a few cockroaches during our stay, mostly appearing in the bathroom (though I'm aware there isn't much the hotel can do about this, as they are fairly common in Tenerife).
Overall, it was a fantastic two-week holiday and we would definitely return in the future.

Good all round accommodation
I went on a girlie weekend to this property, my friend had a timeshare facility so she organised it. Apartment was very clean, we had a huge balcony overlooking the pool and the room had lots of facilities and amenities. The complex had great facilities, super market, hairdressers, bar and restaurant and the gym was excellent. Would definitely return.

Underwhelming, not worth the money we paid
Me and my partner stayed here from 23/08-06/09. As a couple we don’t have many positives but i’ll list both pros and cons. Pros - On site mini market and beauty spa - mini market is pricey but convenient. We didn’t have issues with sun loungers - if you get there for 9 you’ll get a bed. There are 2 other pools, we spent most of the time in pool 2 and it was nice and quiet. Our room came with a double bed which we appreciated as most hotels only offer two singles pushed together. The room was very spacious. Cons - CARDIAC Hill - not hotels fault for location, taxis are cheap anyway. From our experience only a select few of the hotel staff were friendly - the rest seem to be irritated and rude. The hotel breakfast is hit and miss, sometimes hot food and a nice variety other times the food is freezing cold also the juice machine was 90% producing warm liquid. Our room wasn’t the cleanest, dirty shower floor, dust in places, toilet not working properly etc. We were also told during check in that our cleaning days would be every Thursday and sunday as we booked a 2 week stay. However during our second week the cleaner never showed on the sunday and the reception were unhelpful and said the rota changed and our next clean was 6 days away - the day BEFORE CHECK OUT! We had to request new bedding as we had stripped the bed ready for the cleaner and changed it ourselves. The wifi in our room was also terrible, constantly disconnecting. The most disappointing thing was the amount of chlorine in the pools - the high amount is unbearable - both me and my partner had red raw eyes, clothes and swimming costumes ruined, it turned my hair green. - this is not normal and i have never experienced this whilst on holiday. Overall - we would not come back to this hotel as there were too many downers. Our stay was okay but underwhelming due to things listed and the entertainment lacks excitement - more aimed at children. I wouldn’t give this hotel a 4 star it’s more like a 2/3. If you’re thinking about coming to tenerife there are plenty better options.
Lovely hotel
Honestly had a lovely time at this place and cannot rate it enough. We paid for a budget holiday for a family of 4 so expected basic accommodation. The apartment was 2 storey, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need, living room, dining area and balcony, it was lovely, one of the nicest places we have stayed. Breakfast was included which was very busy at times with the usual greedy peoole piling their plates high, then wasting it. There was everything on offer. Staff are very nice, pool areas are nice, we chose one of the quieter pools and never had a problem, at anytime getting a lounger. The only negative I can give is it located on a hill, lovely walk down to the harbour and town although a taxi maybe required on the way back. I enjoyed the walk, got my steps in!! Taxis are reasonably priced, between 6 -10 euros. Honestly don't know what people expect with the bad reviews, but maybe they paid more!!! We as a family had a lovely time.
