Adrian Roca Nivaria Gran Hotel

This is an amazing hotel. We have been blown away by the quality of service from the staff they really have gone above and beyond. Firstly we have been here during a heatwave on the island with temperatures reaching 38 degrees yet they still serve and deal with each client so professionally and a smile. Even while wearing quite uncomfortable unsuitable clothing which is something I would suggest managers should consider to reassess. The room we had was perfect wonderful sea view and massive with loads of storage, with a balcony with table and chairs and two sun loungers. The biggest we have ever had. The food has been amazing always hot which can be a gripe when eating from a buffet and seasoned well. The breakfast was delicious with fresh omelette and fruit. Fruit juices weren’t great you had to pay extra for fresh orange juice which we found odd on an AI package. Lunch good always hot and dinner good with plenty of choice and meats cooked to your liking. Two restaurants which we ate at a lot of one Italian other Spanish both very good we enjoyed. Pools as lovely large saltwater heated to 29 degrees a fresh water and kids area with slides. There is a kids club our son didn’t attend as he found where it was a little dark and scary. It does need renovation and a little more attention but the guys are so nice with the interactions we had with them. Just the club needs better thought. It’s like a dungeon. There is also a kids area with slides which is amazing and a play area. It’s really good with a rope bridge and a zip line. Now this was a real gripe. It’s away at the back of the hotel a bit of a walk. They have pool bar there that serve limited drinks but it doesn’t open until 12:30 so you have to sit in the heat or do a massive walk to the main bar and struggle to carry drinks back for your family in paper cups. Also they don’t serve snacks. And they charge for waffles bizarre on AI. This is also the same for the other fresh water pool the bar doesn’t open until 12:30 again bizarre. The other thing that was our biggest issue was the pool bar. Anywhere else we stayed we could enjoy pool side snacks meaning we could eat lunch at the pool bar. Here no. You have to pay for it until 3pm! Roca Nivara get you act together, guests want to feel chilled. Eat a burger or a sandwich beside the pool. Don’t force extra charges. Would we come back? Yes the pool is unreal have we been to better yes. The hotel is definitely dated and needs a referb. But we had an amazing time and the staff were awesome.

We stated for one week all inclusive holiday. Two adults and two teenagers. The hotel is located in a more peaceful part of the island. There is still life outside but it’s not over crowded. The grounds are stunning. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. Everything is working beautifully. The rooms are spacious- we had two rooms next to each other. The sea view balcony’s are lovely. The pools are huge and not too busy. The food was delicious. Every evening was a different theme. The staff are kind and friendly and nothing is ever too much for them. There are tennis courts and a gym that we enjoyed. We had treatments at the spa and they were excellent. We had the most wonderful time and can’t wait to go back. The area is not expensive if you need to buy anything. The hotel is great value for money. The hotel is next to a small supermarket, a pharmacy, a small shopping centre and it also has a private doctor if you need it.

Ok! Not a 5* for us.. more 4*.. quite a boring hotel.. kids disco is so early 5-6pm when we are still in the pool or getting ready for dinner.. prefer it later.. not much evening entertainment for kids. Was a magician one night otherwise it’s just singers.. pool and room was immaculate.. food was ok.. had better.. staff were all lovely apart from a young life guard who was so rude to us! Also a child was sick in the baby pool and it wasn’t cleaned up for over an hour I had to keep telling people to stay out of it.. was gross..

Lovely view.. too far from the strip of nightlife you have to get a taxi which will cost you £40..

Play area in the restaurant for kids was awful! Full of naughty children throwing things around and no member of staff in there to stop that! Parent too busy eating their meals.. my children got hurt quite a few times in there! Not good!
