The nearest bus stop is just 5 minutes' walk (a quarter mile) away. It is about 15 miles to the nearest airport, Tenerife - Norte-Los Rodeos (TFN), and Tenerife - Sur-Reina Sofia (TFS) is around 55 miles away. The hotel was modernized in 2021. Guests have a choice of 202 suites. The reception desk is open around the clock. To ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, the hotel provides. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas (no extra charge). A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the parking lot. A bicycle rental service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. AluaSoul Orotava Valley
Having seen recent reviews, I would just like to say…we had a lovely time at AluaSoul Orotava Valley. The rooms are lovely and clean and the staff are pleasant and helpful. North Tenerife is a lovely quiet and authentic Spanish place. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and would definitely recommend AluaSoul Orotava Valley.

AluaNoSoul - a truly disappointing holiday experience
Alluringly nestled at the high edge of town between a banana plantation & a wasteland of dire-looking hotels. Location - top of a hill in a dodgy area, no nearby shops. Overlooking some housing projects & a worse-looking hotel.
Rooms - pretty decent in size, mainly clean but weary looking. Curtains mouldy at the bottom. Common area most tired, needing new carpets & paint. Lots of water damage. Bits of concrete missing from the walls outside.
Pool area - too small with limited seating. Need to pay for Bali beds & though the cost is redeemable against food, if you’re on AI, you’re stuffed because you’ve already paid. Pool bar with large queues, drinks given with immense ice cubes so two swigs & gone. Absolute budget offerings. Cringe. If you are on the AI option you can’t order from the pool bar if the restaurant is open, you have to eat there. It’s miles away & infuriating when you have to get dressed to walk there. Pretty much the same food at lunchtime too - it’s a crappy rule. I just wanted a burger & fries. MFC upgrade - pointless as the advertised special pool area = 8 sunbeds that are gone by 8.30, lounge room open only 11-6, horrible “special” restaurant area is a crepuscular corner right by the serving area. Truly unsure what benefits the extra payment is for.
AI drinks - awful! Red wine like chateau paint stripper, rose is rough. Tiny options from a large menu available. Cocktails truly despicable.
Entertainment - infantilising. I appreciate that this is a universal affliction but I truly did not come away to endure shuffleboard, ping pong & pub singers murdering the American songbook. Make it stop.
Food, then. Two more than decent dinners on local fare theme night & Mexican theme but the oriental dinner was revolting. Boring, boring, boring by day 3; everything on repeat. Arrived at 10pm - was given a post it with instructions to order from uber eats, a local alternative or use the vending machines. Really?? No cold plates available for late arrivals?
Only 4 irons/ironing boards for the entire hotel. Laminated card slid across with hotel info at check in - why not just give us a copy?
How does one contact reception? No idea as there are no instructions on the phone, the laminated once-seen card plus the app is central & just offered the option to write a review. When you ask questions for something, they tell you they’ll help then don’t follow through. Late checkout promised then denied. With your checkout goes your AI wristband so no lunch & no soft drinks in the hours before your pickup. A massive rip off.
What this hotel doesn’t advertise is that it’s a local wedding venue so the terrace will be shut off without warning of an evening leaving you stuck in a stuffy bar. You can use the plastic cup pool bar although when we arrived at the pool bar at 8.30pm (advertised hours 11-2200) it was shut. At 2030 on a Saturday night. Marooned as we were at the top of the hill in The AluaSoul Penitentiary, we were stuck.
This is not a 4 star. I’d struggle with 3 star tbh. It’s such a disappointment when you spend so much money to travel, chill & enjoy your holiday. Expect so much better from a brand like Hyatt.

clean tidy nice rooms small pool area inconsistant buffet food only 4 clothes irons in whole hotel we had no access to which was poor inflexable check out.. out by 12 or pay 40 euros till 6pm not much use when you leave at 2 pm
Poor customer care
Shocking customer service from reception staff. Not helpful in anyway. Stayed for 6 nights spent 4 with leaky bathroom ceiling . Laundry sent away to be ironed took 2 days to come back at a cost of 44 euros and had to cancel meal in restaurant next door as nothing to wear. Location lovely. Housekeeping staff lovely and keep rooms imaculate. Food generally nice but often cold. Lovely selection of good quality drinks.
⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Great holiday and we would definitely return!
We had a fantastic stay in Tenerife and would definitely return to this hotel. Overall, we’d give our stay 4.5/5.
Our room was a great size and the whole hotel was exceptionally clean. We had a separate bedroom and living room, outside seating area and a double wardrobe, which gave plenty of storage for both myself and my husband. The hairdryer provided in the room was also surprisingly good! My parents were staying with us too and their room was even bigger than ours, with the same great layout.
The hotel itself is huge and quite unusually spaced out, so depending on where your room is, there can be a fair bit of walking. We were on the first floor, which was quite a walk from the restaurant, but we were very close to the pool, which was ideal. Although the pool isn’t the biggest, we never struggled to find a sunbed and there was always plenty of room to have a swim.
The food was nice and there was a good variety. If I had to mention one negative, it would be that the food could have done with a little more seasoning. The all-inclusive cocktails were also probably the weakest part of the drinks offering, although the spirits included were good. The Margarita slush was definitely the winner for us! 🍹
All of the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention has to go to the entertainment team, who were fantastic and made everyone feel included. We took part in darts, shooting, archery and some of the evening entertainment, and Ana and Miguel were amazing — they really helped make our holiday even more enjoyable.
We also walked down into the centre one day. It is quite a steep hill, so we decided to get a taxi back, which only cost around €4, so taxis were very reasonable. The free bus to the shopping centre was also brilliant, running every hour and making it really easy to get out and about. The shopping centre itself isn’t huge, but it gets you into the central area and the return journey is completely free.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday and felt very well looked after. There are a couple of small things that could be improved, particularly the seasoning of the food and the all-inclusive cocktails, but these certainly wouldn’t stop us from coming back.
We would definitely return and would happily recommend this hotel! ❤️
