This sublime beach hotel is situated in the popular tourist hub of Puerto de la Cruz. The airport is about 25 minutes’ drive away. The hotel enjoys an idyllic beachside setting opposite Martianez, the popular seawater swimming baths. The complex is nestled amidst gardens, which stretch over 1,500 metres squared, blending effortlessly with its surroundings. Guests can enjoy the sumptuous delights of the buffet-style meals, with exquisite dishes, relax in the outdoor pool area or have a couple of drinks in the bar. Visitors will be impressed by the stylish rooms, which come well equipped with modern amenities and offer the ideal surroundings in which to relax and unwind at the end of the day.

Another great stay
Checked in to the Catalonia Las Vegas after midnight. Initially allocated a very small room with balcony on arrival. Consulted reception in the morning and they very kindly realocated us to a much bigger room at a higher level. Thank you to the excellent Lydia on reception who efficiently got us transferred to a much nicer room. Great location, and the half board option was first class with plenty of choice. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Very disappointing stay sadly 😞

Really good points: Amazing location, super comfortable beds and house keeping cleaned daily the poolside activity coordinators were brilliant !!! 👍 The team really are fantastic and a credit to the hotel.
Bad points: Food was a disappointment, mundane, repetitive and barely warm. The menu seemed exactly the same both weeks, almost no changes. We stayed here two years ago and the food was so much better then ,Standards in our opinion have gone down.👎
Worst of all: Guests above us used our balcony as an ashtray, flicking ash and cigarette ends down on to our seating area ,We complained to the manager who spoke to them and he gave us a bottle of Brut. But unfortunately they had total disregard for us and the conversion the hotel manager had with them and carried on for the rest of our holiday, which was 8 days. When we complained again, the receptionist just asked, “What do you want us to do?” We suggested moving them to a room with their own balcony, but nothing was done.Photos just don’t capture as much ash or cigarette butts we had dropped onto balcony
First 6 days were good despite the food, but the cigarette and ash issue ruined it. We sadly won’t be returning .I travelled with my partner we stayed for 2 weeks .
Not a 4 star hotel
The problem with this hotel is that it is marketed as a 4 star. It's not. My room stank of stale cigarette smoke, it was dirty and very dated. When I asked if another room was available due to the smell I was told that changing rooms was impossible and was immediately dismissed without anything being checked, but the exact same room was available on booking.com for the exact same dates so obviously there were spare rooms. Instead I had to have all the windows open to cope with the smell and so had to deal with the noise of the traffic outside the hotel which would wake me up at about 6am each morning. The food was also disappointing, hope you like pizza and chips!
Disappointing for the Price
We stayed for five nights as a last-minute getaway, and unfortunately, we left feeling that the hotel simply wasn’t worth the money we paid.
The food was probably the biggest disappointment. The hot breakfast items were often cold, even when we went down as soon as breakfast opened, and overall the quality and choice were below what we expected. Dinner wasn’t much better, with the food being fairly average and lacking variety and quality. Overall, we were really unimpressed with the food throughout our stay and felt that this was one of the biggest areas where the hotel fell short. The pool bar was also very hit and miss — the quality of the drinks seemed to depend entirely on who was working and whether they had received enough training.
The social area was underwhelming and awkwardly positioned, so it didn’t really feel like a space you wanted to spend much time in. The pool itself was perfectly fine, but nothing particularly special. The staff were pleasant enough, but there was no one who really stood out or went above and beyond to make the stay memorable.
The biggest positive was the location. It was excellent for getting out and exploring, with the town right on the doorstep and plenty within easy walking distance.
Overall, it was an okay hotel for a short break, but for the price we paid, we expected more. We stayed for five nights as a last-minute escape, so it was manageable, but if this were our one main holiday of the year, we would have been very disappointed.
