Situated in a magnificent frontline position in Puerto de Santiago on the west coast of Tenerife, the modern hotel boasts spectacular views over the impressive cliffs of Los Gigantes, the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera. Restaurants and bars are just a few steps away. The international airport Tenerife South is at a distance of approximately 45 km from the hotel. The rooms have a stylish design and most of them enjoy fantastic views of the sea and the cliffs. The hotel offers outdoor pools, a mini-club, a gym and various sports facilities. Guests can get pampered in the excellent spa area with hydro massage pools or sip on a cocktail while taking in the remarkable atmosphere of the surroundings.
I had an amazing time stay here again, enjoyed myself. Staff are very friendly and felt safe being there on my own.
It’s a nice small hotel. It doesn’t have a luxury feel but it’s modern and clean. The bar area was far too busy and the waiters were not trained very well, hence people waited for drinks for a long time.
The entertainment was good every evening, some better than others and it was in the same area every night, which was a bit samey.
The staff members were ok but the enticement staff were the most engaging. I’ve had better experiences in terms of the friendliness of staff members.
The views around the hotel are second to none being right by the sea. So this cannot be equalled.
The restaurant options for food were very repetitive and sometimes hot food was sat out so that it was cold by the time you arrived to eat from the buffet. It’s not set up to cater for vegetarians.
The location was good and perfect for us, it was quiet and peaceful.
The hotel could make easy improvements, especially with service around the pool bar. The queues were sometimes 30 minutes long and you had no apology for waiting.
The air con in the rooms was limited and no better than a fan at times.
I first stayed at his hotel in December 2025. Then is was great. On my second visit 15-9-2026 to 29-9-2026 it has been terrible. I cannot believe how an establishment can go down hill in 9 months. The food is terrible, the waiter service at The Breeze is absolutely atrocious. Do not book this place for a holiday. I feel really let down. No stars for this establishment. There are only three to four waiters who really try. At the start of our 2nd week here we had a new couple of people move into next door. We are in Room 535. They are constantly heavy smokers on their balcony. My wife has addressed this issue with them, and it is like speaking to someone who is deaf. Have addressed this with front reception desk who says they are staying longer than you so it is alright. This is my worst holiday in living history. Will not be coming here again.
We came back to this hotel after having a really good experience here last year, so unfortunately this time it was quite underwhelming.
Check-in was okay, but it was not the warmest welcome we have experienced. We waited a very long time for our room to be ready, with no apology or explanation. When we were finally shown to our room, we were taken through a dark and rather dingy corridor.
The room itself was much the same as last year, with not enough drawers for clothes and not enough hangers. This time we were given two bottles of water — but only once. That was all the water provided for the entire stay.
The air conditioning was another issue. With temperatures reaching 36°C outside, we expected it to work effectively, but even at the lowest setting it struggled to cool the room properly.
The Breeze Bar, which is the poolside bar and pretty much the only place to get a drink during the daytime, was constantly busy. You often had to wait a long time to be served. Unfortunately, our drinks order was wrong on 8 out of our 10 days there, and we were constantly having to remind staff about missing or incorrect drinks.
The bar simply seemed too busy and too large for the number of staff available, which sometimes made it quite chaotic. Having said that, credit where it is due: some of the staff at the Breeze Bar were fantastic and clearly worked very hard. A special mention to David, Tino, Fabrizio, Umberto, Tytherington and, of course, Sig Fredo (I hope I got your name right!).
The main buffet restaurant service was okay, but nothing exceptional unless you happened to get one of the staff members who genuinely seemed to love their job, such as Alicia and a few others.
There was a good variety of food, and you certainly won't go hungry. The pizza was absolutely fantastic — probably the best pizza we had during our stay, and it was always served hot.
Unfortunately, we quite often found that the supposedly hot food was actually cold. It's not very appealing when dishes sitting underneath the hot lamps are already cold. The restaurant itself was also extremely warm. I don't think it has air conditioning, and it could become unbearably hot while eating.
The Aloe Bar opens at 8pm and was also quite busy when we were there. Once again, getting served was difficult, with staff clearly struggling to keep up. You really needed to arrive early and order all your drinks at once, otherwise you could be waiting a very long time.
The reception staff were friendly enough, but don't expect anyone to ask how your stay was, whether you enjoyed yourself, or anything along those lines. When it was time to leave, it felt very much like: out comes the scissors, your AI wristband is cut off, and that's it — from then on, you're on your own.
Even though our flight wasn't until 9pm, there seemed to be very little interest in making the departure experience pleasant. We were told that we could come back and use the shower room and that they would give us a time. Everything felt very impersonal and unceremonious.
Having said all of that, we did have a relaxing holiday. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and that is certainly one of the hotel's biggest attractions.
However, we have stayed in better hotels, with outstanding service, for less money than we paid here.
So, would we come back? Unfortunately, no — unless there is a noticeable change in the hotel's attitude towards its guests and the level of service provided.
Would we recommend it? If you're looking for a short break where you simply want to stay at the hotel and do very little, then yes, it could be a good choice. There isn't a huge amount to do outside the hotel, so if that's what you're looking for, it may suits you, otherwise No. Few other guests have mentioned yo us in agreement that this would be their last trip to this hotel. Shame really.
We've stayed many times and have very been disappointed. Worth paying a little extra for a Superior Room. Beautiful situation
