My husband, son, and I stayed there from September 1st to 8th. The first two days were okay—the room was decent enough, and we were there for the sea and beach, which I’d rate a 10: the sand and water were superb—clean and clear—with a gentle entry into the water; everything was wonderful, so we didn't even really need the pool. However, there were never any sunbeds available; they were constantly occupied—it seemed like people had claimed them for the duration of their entire vacation. But that’s a minor issue. On the morning of the third day, my son woke up with nausea and diarrhea; my husband and I developed the same symptoms, along with a fever. We spent the day in our room, hoping it would pass, but that evening I called our insurance company, and we were taken to the hospital. We were on IV drips for nearly 24 hours before being discharged, yet the diarrhea persisted. Our vacation was completely ruined because we constantly had to stay within reach of a restroom. ...we noticed that every other guest had similar symptoms, so we started washing our cups before filling them with water for tea; I filed an official complaint at reception, though of course, that doesn't cure the illness. That was our impression of the hotel: there was practically no housekeeping—they’d just empty the ashtray and take out the trash, and that was it. No one offered us beach towels during our entire stay, and we were given only one room key for the whole family. The staff was unfriendly; at the bar, I asked for a non-alcoholic mojito, and when my husband stepped up and asked for one too—making it two—the guy practically threw the blender in my face. There is so much more I could say, but the bottom line is: don't go to this hotel—protect your health and that of your loved ones. If you are already there, contact your insurance company first so the treatment is free; otherwise, be prepared to pay 500 euros per person.
Armas Green Fugla is far from what you would expect from a 5-star Ultra All Inclusive hotel. The food was very repetitive, sometimes burnt, with no beef or lamb, and even basic fruits such as bananas, oranges or pineapple were often missing. During our stay, we also experienced digestive problems and diarrhea. The cleanliness was disappointing, the rooms were very basic, and the bathroom was especially poor. The folding bathroom door looked cheap and completely inappropriate for a hotel claiming to be 5 stars. Russian is spoken much more than English, so communication can be difficult. The only real positives were the friendly reception staff and especially the gentleman at the information/security desk, who was very helpful and spoke excellent English. In short: 5-star prices and claims, but the actual conditions are far below that standard. We would not return
Upon arrival, we were given a room with a non-functioning air conditioner. It was only repaired after we complained, after 17:00.
We were also informed that the air conditioner cannot be left running while we are away, which means the room becomes extremely hot whenever we return.
Unfortunately, the situation is not much better in the common areas. There is no air conditioning at the reception, the restaurant is also extremely hot, and there is practically nowhere in the hotel where guests can properly cool down.
Our room was given to us in an unclean condition and there was not even any soap available. Soap was provided only after we complained.
The overall hygiene of the bathroom and room is very poor. The floor and shower were dirty, there is visible mould, and there were hairs left behind by previous guests.
This is particularly concerning for us as hygiene is extremely important to our family.
The shower water temperature constantly changes from cold to very hot while showering, making it very difficult and uncomfortable to use the shower normally.
The mirrors are dirty, the furniture is old, scratched and visibly worn, and even the glasses provided in the room were dirty.
Overall, the condition of the room is far below what we expected when booking this hotel.
The breakfast and lunch selection is very poor. There is very little meat and a large part of the food consists of processed or semi - prepared products.
Unfortunately, the dining area itself also does not give us confidence regarding hygiene standards.
This is the issue that concerns us the most.
On the very day we arrived, we were told by other hotel guests that two people had been taken from the hotel to hospital with acute gastrointestinal symptoms. Several guests also told us that this is not the first such situation and that there has already been another “wave” of gastrointestinal illness at the hotel.
We have also personally observed hygiene practices that are concerning to us, including staff working without gloves and what appears to be poor hygiene in the kitchen area.
We've been staying here for a week now. The hotel is located on a great sandy beach, which is great kids with its shallow waters. The atmosphere is more than friendly, the staff is decent and very helpful. No crowds, (peace and quiet everywhere), the territory is spacious, green . As for the night life: usual Turkish activities 11pm The sea looks like a lake, very calm and clear, warm enough for swimmers. Lots of sunbeds, available through the day, hamam and sauna can be visited till 2 pm. As for the rooms, they are ok, but the bed linen could be fresher and whiter. The level of noise is low, we are in a Jiraffe building room number 1715, our neighbours are of the same opinion. I 'd like to highlight the restaurant crew under the leadership of Nezip ( if I'm not mistaken) they are very attentive, fast, hard working, good looking. I think prices are reliable. We are very experienced travellers, never writing reviews, but some o f the negative reviews about the staff (read before coming here) nearly made us cancel the booking, that is why you are reading THIS.
A very good hotel with a very clean environment, helpful staff, and delicious, varied food. However, during a time of war, it feels very insensitive to openly support one side. The constant display of Russian flags, the emphasis on one country, and communication almost exclusively in Russian can truly hurt guests who are not citizens of this occupying country. Türkiye, at least, should remain neutral. By appearing to choose one side, the hotel risks alienating many European guests and peaceful visitors. Hotel guests can love their country quietly, without making others feel uncomfortable.
