Dosinia Luxury Resort

We travelled with 3 families, 6 adults and 5 children. We had a lovely holiday, but there are some improvements which could be made to make it better.

Location wise, it is really good, only a relatively short drive from Antalya Airport, if travelling in a group I would recommend booking a private transfer to avoid lots of stops on the way. Hotel is nestled between the sea and scenic mountains so cannot fault this!

We arrived late at night and were checked in quickly by friendly reception staff. We travelled as 3 families and were each given rooms in completely separate parts of the hotel nowhere near each other which was a shame but not a showstopper.

We were given a garden room which is by the amphitheatre, if you're looking for a peaceful room then this won't be for you as you can hear the music/entertainment really loudly until 11.30pm at night, this was fine for us as we would stay out until after the entertainment finished anyway. We liked the position of the room as it was close to everything, pools, restaurant, bars etc. One of our other parties in our group were in the hotel rooms over the road by the beach and were a bit segregated from the main hotel. Rooms were basic but fine for what we needed, maids cleaned every day and provided fresh towels. The minibar was stocked up every morning, but to be honest we hardly used anything from there as the temperature was not much better than room temperature. Wardrobes, there was only a few hangers so make sure to take your own, then there was some shelves to store things, although half were at height so not the easiest to access. Bathroom was also fine, but did occasionally have a smell of sewage, but if you kept the door shut was fine and not enough of an issue to switch rooms.

The hotel facilities were great, with so much choice for swimming pools. We spent a few days at the pool by the beach as it was good for the kids, but also went to the main pool for the slides and the more lively atmosphere an a few of the days. The slides were great, much quicker than you expect. They also thro a foam party on a Saturday which was really good fun. Lots of people also joined in with the water aerobics and polo if that's your thing. We found our favourite pool to be the one by the swim up rooms with the bridge going over it. It was close to all the bars and you could hear the music from the main pool without it being too much. Plenty of sun loungers, we saved beds most days, but there were days we didn't go down until after 9am and still found beds for 11 of us. A lot are in the shade which is fine as temperatures were hitting 37 every day.

The bars were all great, staff super friendly. The cocktails were super sweet but what was to be expected at an all inclusive. One suggestion would be to have a separate queue for non-cocktails.

We sat at the D-Bar most nights and most of the time the waiters would give you table service. Tipping wasn't expected but we had such good service we tipped every night which they were really appreciative of.

Travelling with 5 children between ages of 4 and 11, the Flamingo bar was a huge hit, offering, ice creams, pic n mix sweets, milkshakes which was such a good addition to keep the kids happy.

Now the disappointing side to the holiday, the food... Whilst there was plenty of lunch time options and these were fantastic, the breakfast and evening food from the main restaurant in our opinion was really poor and is what would stop us from returning again. It feels like they cater much more for the Russian guests rather than UK guests. There was lots of variety of foods, but in our opinion the quality was not great. The fresh bread was lovely and there was a huge choice for deserts, but I would rather there be less choice but tastier main meals. We ended up having to have a really big lunch before the food stands shut at 4pm in case there wasn't anything at the main restaurant. There was an outdoor BBQ area on the evenings which probably server the best of the evening food. The food stands on the other hand were amazing and we loved eating there and trying the different foods. The particular standouts were the kebab and jacket potato's at the beach bar, the kebab stand at the main bar and the waffles which were delicious. We also found a crepe shack on our last day which were also lovely, it's right in the corner by the play area so make sure you give it a try. My recommendation would be to have a couple of the lunch time stands open later and stay open for evening food as another option to the main restaurant, then rota these so they change every night. Such a shame that the food in the restaurant has let this hotel down and it says a lot when a Doner Kebab was the highlight of the food we ate.

Big shoutout to Mehmet at D-Bar, he works so hard and always with a smile on his face and was so kind to the children and is a real credit to Dosinia!

This isn't a 5 star hotel, but we did still have a lovely holiday and will definitely return to Turkey again.

We have just come back from this resort and was very disappointed. Its definitely not a 5 star at best a 3 star. Cats allowed in main dining room not hygenic at all. One day I asked a staff member in the dining room if could clean the salt cellar, I was absolutely in shock when he took a dirty fork which he was collecting in to use and try clear the salt. I asked him what he was doing and he just walked away. Whilst awaiting a table we observedvthem wiping tables down and crumbs on floor then not replacing the mats. I was devastated the cleanliness in the dining area. Food wasn't great, if went down late food was actually cold and we couldn't eat it.
