Nice drive up and entrance to hotel, unfortunately the greeting received from the Reception team wasn’t that great, we felt we were more of a burden than a valued customer. We were told to go and get some food as they didn’t have the room combination we wanted so we decided to stay at Reception until they gave us what was required. Unfortunately for my Wife and I the room they gave us was at the far end of the hotel area and up to very narrow windy staircases so we had to get ourselves moved, which they did do but again it felt like we were a burden.

The rooms themselves were clean, not luxurious for what was quoted as a five star hotel and the bathroom itself didn’t need some refurbishment.

There was a mini bar in the bedrooms which was stopped with water and soft drinks and pretzels and was refreshed daily and that was included in the all-inclusive package.

Swimming pool areas are good, grounds and maintained and in our experience with the exception of one day during a weekday, always got pool bed’s, even up to 10 o’clock in the morning.

A real frustration of mine was guests smoking in the outside main Resturant whilst eating, with smoke blowing into our faces, likewise by the pool. Many hotels now only allow smoking in certain clearly marked areas and not where food is served. We tried sitting in different outside resturant locations but they smoke everywhere. The hotel should implement smoking zones in restaurants and pool areas. As non smokers we should not be subjected to passive smoking. I appreciate the culture in Turkey is different as with a number of errors in Europe but these hotels are catering to mass audience and countries and therefore need something that’s inclusive.

We only ate in the main restaurant and although it was large and the choice looked varied, the menu was very repetitive and if you didn’t eat meat options very limited and if you were vegan then then you had an even smaller choice . Food that was also meant to be hit was often like warm at best. Smoking as already mentioned was a huge concern for me, with no safe zone otherwise than sitting inside to eat without smoke wafting in your face. Smoking zones are needed. I also saw repeatedly the chef behind the pizza counter in the main restaurant as well as one of the security guards using their hands to take items of the hot plates and putting them straight in their mouth.

Appreciate the visitors to the hotel are mainly German, Turkish and Russian (certainly during our stay in early September), we found it difficult making yourself understood, for example asking for two water bottles, other drinks etc is so difficult. Given British tour operators sell holidays at this hotel, basic English should be understood. Our family and other British families also noticed if you spoke the local language you got served first, despite being g further back in a queue.

Sports wise, the hotels advertised as a sports venue and that some sports may incur local charges. We were however really surprised to see Tennis incurred a €5 per racket charge even more surprised when we say the quality of the racket and balls. For me “ five star” all inclusive should include those within the price even if they just request a deposit returned once the racket to give them back. We also played mini golf. Had fun but the disrepair of the course was evident with the clubs we were given having tape or plastic tubing for handles

On a positive note, we did visit the spa and had a scrub and massage. The service was excellent and the pricing good. Gym was also very good.

This holiday was about spending time with the family and although we did have a good time, I feel the Hotel should take stock of comments made for the benefit of other visitors to improve the overall experience

Holiday was good especially the entertainment team, great interaction with everyone, made everyone feel welcome, would like to say that Mert was the best rep on the entertainment team definitely recommend the hotel
