Siam Elegance Hotel and Spa

We are from Holland and left yesterday. We met with local people / farmers of pomegranate and lemon trees. Maybe a farm tour could be an extra idea!

We had enough information to visit Serik, Taurus, Ormana, Aspendos, Garden of Tolerance, Belek center and Antalya these are amazing trips! After we loved coming back to the hotel for food, swimming and entertainment.

Food: is amazing and well presented with excellent and creative skills! I only missed information about the food (Halal/Vegan/Vegetarian) and what the cakes are. Further there was a lot of smoke in the restaurant maybe an airfilter could be used. The food that is wasted maybe it can be reused for a good purpose 🌱.

Cleaning/room: Serpil kept our room (1234) clean and ordered. She made up the bed with flowers 🌹that made it extra nice! Also she has a very kind soul. Only about the mini bar - we had no coffee refilled. :))) we love coffee.

Emergency: At the beach we felt safe seeing 2 life guards but they look a lot on their phone. Hopelly they can be more aware and stand out watching the people. Further I did not see a FIRST AID POST on the beach (inside there is a doctor) but it could help for quick help and generally I missed a sign for where there is an AED in the hotel for heart attacks. It can save lives. Maybe it's also important to inform guests on a board about what to do in emergency/crisis: fire, doors and earthquakes.

Security: friendly and they take their job serious which is important. It's nice to see them around.

Dress code: It's a matter of taste but I would recommend a dress code for the restaurant to keep hygiene and respect in a restaurant. Also there is are a lot of children I would not recommend men and women in string or tiny bikini's. They are almost naked.

We would definitely come back for the kindness, comfort and food.

This was, without a doubt, the most disappointing holiday I have ever been on. Unfortunately, the hotel fell very far below our expectations, and for what we paid, we expected a much higher standard.

Food: The food was one of the biggest disappointments. It was completely tasteless and felt like the same options were being served every single day. By the last four nights of our holiday, we simply couldn’t eat it anymore and had to go out for dinner every night. When you book an all-inclusive holiday, having to spend extra money eating elsewhere defeats the whole purpose.

Check-in & staff: The staff were rude and extremely unhelpful when we arrived. We arrived at around 9:30pm and still had to wait for our room to be ready. They also forgot to give us our wristbands, which we then had to go back and ask for. It was not a welcoming start to the holiday.

Pool area: The pool area was very unclean and clearly not being maintained to an acceptable standard. At one point, the pool actually had to be closed because it was dirty. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel, particularly one where the pool is a major part of the holiday.

Noise: After our first night, we immediately made a complaint about the noise levels. Our room was directly beside the neighbouring hotel’s bins, and every morning between approximately 6am and 9am, bottles were being thrown out for hours. The noise was so loud that it genuinely sounded as though it was happening directly beside our balcony, despite us being on the third floor. This was extremely disruptive and meant being woken up every morning.

Rooms: The rooms are very cheaply finished and do not feel like the standard you would expect for the price. The sheets were not changed once during our entire 7-night stay, which we found extremely disappointing.

Air conditioning: Myself and my partner both became extremely unwell during the holiday. We developed very tight throats which progressed into a really chesty cough towards the end of the trip. We strongly suspect this was related to the poor-quality air conditioning system in the room. Obviously, I cannot say for certain that the air conditioning caused it, but the timing was concerning and neither of us felt well during the latter part of the holiday.

Drinks: The drinks were also extremely poor quality. Very cheap products were being used and they tasted awful. Again, for an all-inclusive hotel at this price point, we expected much better.

The only reason we managed to get any enjoyment out of the holiday was because we have been to Turkey multiple times before and already knew where to go, what to do and where to find decent food. If this had been our first time visiting Turkey, I honestly think we would have considered going home early.

Overall, there was no value for money whatsoever. Between the poor food, awful drinks, cleanliness issues, noise, cheap rooms, lack of housekeeping and unhelpful staff, this hotel was nowhere near the standard we expected.

Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel and would definitely not stay here again.
