A very good holiday, with a few areas that could be improved

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Dobedan World Palace. We were given a renovated room, which was excellent – modern, comfortable and very pleasant. In general, we liked almost everything about the hotel, and our overall impression of the holiday is definitely positive.

There are, however, a few things that I believe could be improved.

First, the staff were not always as friendly and welcoming as we would expect from a hotel of this level. I am not sure why – perhaps it is because it is the end of the season and the staff are tired – but sometimes the service felt a little cold.

Second, the entertainment team was surprisingly difficult to notice. In many other hotels we have visited, the animation team is constantly interacting with guests, creating a lively atmosphere and inviting people to participate in activities. Here, we barely noticed them during our stay.

Another weak point is the quality of the alcohol, especially the cocktails. For a hotel of this category, I expected noticeably better quality and better-prepared drinks.

The coffee could also be improved. It was quite difficult to find a really good cup of coffee in the hotel. Surprisingly, although the hotel promotes its Starbucks coffee point, in my opinion it served some of the least enjoyable coffee on the property.

Apart from these points, everything else was a positive experience. The renovated room was excellent, the hotel itself is beautiful, and we had a very enjoyable holiday overall.

With a little more attention to staff hospitality, entertainment, cocktails and coffee, Dobedan World Palace could offer an even better experience.
