DoubleTree by Hilton Antalya Kemer

I have just returned with my wife and another couple and had an fantastic time. In my review I will try and mention things that are not covered in The hotel information. This hotel was well set out and easy to find your way round. I will start in the lobby area, this is comfortable with good seating, air-conditioning, gentle live music in the evening and terrace, it also has a twenty-four hour bar with international brand drinks, cocktails, Effs larger and hot drinks. Downstairs is the George bar ideal for drinks before dinner. Now a nice surprise was draught Guinness that wasn't bad and made a nice change they also had Carlsberg and Effs. The pool table was popular and also had a nice seating area outside. It also has sports TV's but this is my only negative, they don't have sky sports and for an exceptional hotel like this, I would have expected it, might be nit picking you decide. On this floor you access the restaurant, the spar and the gym, also access the lovely pool area. The pool is as in the hotel information with beds in the water and a deeper area to swim. There are plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, the slides were popular but not busy, also the water aerobics were popular and well run. Back to the bars. There is a beer garden bar which is lovely and shaded with great view of the pier, sea and mountains. Again surprisingly they had a selection of six larger's and soft drinks, I think they could have the main spirits but again might be me nit picking. Above the beer garden is the late night bar that had good music, great vibe, very lively and the barstaff worked hard to ensure you had a great night. The ibiza bar was open all day but we mainly used it to watch the entertainment which was outstanding, very professional and great fun. The bar had shaded seating around the outside with pillow type cushions. The beach again was well laid out with beds and umbrellas on decking and grass. The beach is pebbles so shoes maybe beneficial but not necessary and the water was clear. The pier has plenty of beds and a small bar, we did have a walk on it but we are more pool people, but it did have a great view of the mountains. So the restaurant is buffet style and had fantastic range, each day the staff work tirelessly to ensure your glass was full and tables cleared. It could be a bit noisy during busy times, but was lovely outside. Now the food trucks are something special and different, the standard and variety was outstanding. If you arrive late you can have a selection of good hot food. Rooms are as in the hotel information. We did take a trip to market, which was massive and something to eat out made nice change. Now I wish to say a big thank you to all the staff who work so hard to ensure we had an amazing holiday. When you arrive you are offered the option to join the hotel WhatsApp, I found this to be extremely helpful, gave you information on what's going on during the day. We had a pleasant stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Kemer, but overall I would rate the experience around 3 stars and, unfortunately, I would not return.

The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was generally good, although I found the vegetarian options quite limited. There should be more substantial vegetarian protein options, along with much clearer labelling of dishes so guests can easily identify what they are eating.

Another important issue is the number of cats and kittens around the hotel. While it is wonderful to see that the animals are tolerated and some staff and guests clearly care about them, there are simply too many young cats and kittens, and I feel the situation needs much more organised management.

The hotel could make a significant difference by introducing a proper neutering programme, providing clearly designated feeding and fresh-water stations, and ensuring the animals receive appropriate care. Allowing the population to continue growing does not seem sustainable or fair to the animals. I honestly don’t understand why this issue hasn’t been addressed more effectively.

There are definitely positives to the hotel, particularly the friendly staff and pleasant surroundings, but the issues with the vegetarian food options and especially the ongoing cat situation affected our overall experience. For us, these are significant enough that we would not choose to stay here again.
