Located on the Mediterranean coast in the Kizilagac region, this large holiday complex is approximately 11 km from Manavgat and around 12 km from the popular resort and historical city of Side. A wide range of leisure, sport and convention facilities are offered in this family friendly hotel and guests can also benefit from the comprehensive Thalasso and Spa Centre. The complex consists of 811 rooms situated in the main building and club rooms which are in 2-storey blocks in the grounds. There are a number of shops and a hairdressing salon within the complex. Further facilities include a games room, children's playground, kids' club, a choice of bars and restaurants, swimming pools and sports amenities. Guests can also benefit from the sister hotel's activities nextdoor. (Some facilities may not be operational due to weather/seasonal conditions).
Amazing experience with World of Sunrise resort.
The territory is big, but really nicely managed. We stayed in one of the houses in the back of the territory (room 6407 if I'm not mistaken), next to the kids park, tennis courts and football field - in the beginning, I wanted to try and change to something closer to the sea and the main buildings, but quickly realized that that's the nesting area of all the birds (peacocks, hens, geese) - a few pieces of bread later, I had these guys camping out next to my balcony + the kids was close (we spent a lot of time there for the water slides). The noise level was decent - if you don't like it, the doors/windows block everything out.
So, to go step by step
In any case - both are very good and going between these two is a great way to diversify.
A-la carte was as expected - good quality (we went for the Turkish one, as it was outside). Various snack bars and lunch restaurants available throughout the day. All pretty good.
There's a hidden gem - the cocktail bar that opens at 4pm till 11 or 12, not far from the reception. The guys there are amazing - the head mixologist and his crew - they really go way out to make the perfect cocktail and they have the biggest selection of specialty alcohols
Beach - sand + small rock, not as bad as Kemer, aqua shoes optional - lots of sunbeds - huge beachfront, so the fight was mostly for the sunbeds closest to the sea - the usual leaving of towels on the sunbed for half a day is omnipresent in all hotels
pools - lots of them; 2 with seawater, 1 adult only - not too many loungers around them, but i think that's intentional - I actually loved the ones surrounded by trees a bit further away from the main buildings. There's also a "sandy" area next to one of the saltwater pools.
Kids animation + slides: Animation (2 teams: Toucan and Wosy - a bit confusing at first) - Toucan caters to russian speaking kids, Wosy to English and Turkish. They where pretty cool, my daughter loved the Toucan team and made friends there
The slides are good - nothing insane, but good enough for kids to be happy (working from 10 I think, to 5-6 pm) - It's a bit far away from the main buildings, but a you have something like a mini hotel territory right next to it (towel changes, 2 bars(regular and coffee), 1 restaurant, the animation team compound) Main Event - each Saturday they have a party on the football field (inflatable slides, lots of fun activities, animators - 20:30 to 22:30)
2 main events - we went to the Artik & Asti concert (they built a stage on the football field). great atmosphere; there also was the beach disco (they built the stage and decorations for it) but somehow the atmosphere was off.
Cleaning was done daily, few kinks and misses, but nothing worth mentioning. It's a big hotel, staff are working hard, but if you want something specific done or find out information, you have to push a bit and do a bit of an effort to find out info.
I loved the green territory - living on the other side of the hotel, far from the beach, we had to walk through this beautiful botanical garden and it was simply exquisite.
We'll do my best to return next year!
It's a nice family resort. Rooms are large and clean. Food is excellent. Staff is very caring.
This was our fourth stay at Starlight. Every year it’s gotten progressively worse. To start with, the ladies a the reception were unwelcoming, sour and ignored us for the first ten minutes of our arrival. Absolutely no smiles and only speaking in Russian (which I don’t understand). Bad way to start. All room doors are very heavy and it’s impossible not to slam them. The result is a constant chaotic symphony of slamming doors that will keep you up until all hours of the morning. There are not enough tables in the main dining room and, especially at dinner, if you don’t show up very early you will be left wandering around in circles waiting for someone to vacate a table. Lastly, and possibly the worst, this is a clearly Russian hotel. All guests at Russian (and the loud obnoxious behaviors that accompany that). Bar and reception staff addressed me in Russian every day and many times looked puzzled when I couldn’t respond because I don’t understand Russian. I sincerely hope things improve but I also have a feeling that they won’t. It’s too bad because after being loyal to this hotel I need to move on to something else.
Resort covers very large area with plenty of pools, bars. Beautiful gardens; so pleasant to walk around the area. Excellent for family trip; kids mini club with very nice and gentle personnel. Kids are provided with variety of entertainment such as painting, carving, pottery. Some reviews read before our trip are not actually true. Overall, our stay in the resort exceeded our expectations.
We had a wonderful time at the Starligjt Hotel. The animation team were very good especially Calix from Benin. The rooms are clean and the villas are in beautiful grounds. The pools are clean and large and there are so many food and drink options , lovely cocktails .We liked the man on rollerblades delivering drinks and ice creams and the juice van on the beach especially. The live entertainment is typical of a holiday resort and enjoyable. My only criticism would be that the main restaurant in Starlight is very chaotic will the number of guests using it . We preferred the restaurant at Sunrise because it was calmer.
