Here with a group of friends for the fifth time. Having previously stayed at numerous larger hotels along this coast this is honestly the only one I would recommend to others. The staff make this hotel stand out by a mile; add to that the fantastic food, atmosphere and entertainment and it’s a holiday that can’t be beaten. For anyone concerned about the previous review which stated that a stray dog was wandering around the hotel reception, please be reassured that this is totally incorrect and infactual. The dog in question is named Garip and has been a registered pet of the Liberty for several years. The guests embrace his gentle nature and presence and he is quiet and content in his surroundings. I would also encourage anyone who is either uncomfortable or allergic to animals to stay in the UK as they are unfortunately not as loved in other parts as they are in the UK, hence relying on the hotels and resorts to adopt them and keep them safe and healthy. Thank you Liberty Lara for another amazing holiday, until the next time.

An incredible hotel, wonderful staff and, of course, Garip!
We've just spent a fantastic week at Liberty Lara with a group of friends, and I can honestly say the hotel and its staff have made our holiday something special.
The food, facilities, atmosphere and attention to detail have all been excellent, but what really makes this hotel stand out is its people. The staff genuinely care about their guests and go out of their way to make sure everyone has an incredible holiday. Nothing seems too much trouble, and they deserve enormous credit.
But there's one particular member of the Liberty Lara family who deserves a special mention. Garip the dog! 🐕❤️
Having recently read a rather unpleasant review referring to Garip as a stray dog and suggesting that his presence is a reason to avoid the hotel, our entire group felt compelled to put the record straight.
Garip is not some random stray wandering around the hotel. He is a much-loved, tagged and cared-for dog who has been part of the Liberty Lara family for many years.
He is beautifully groomed, incredibly gentle, calm and affectionate, and quite clearly adores people. He has the freedom to wander around the grounds, enjoying life and greeting guests who want to say hello.
In fact, we've made a point of seeking him out during our holiday just to spend a little time with him!
Of course, we appreciate that some people have allergies or simply aren't dog lovers, and that's absolutely fine. But there's a world of difference between having a genuine concern and portraying a much-loved, well-cared-for animal as something undesirable.
For us, the way a hotel treats its animals says an awful lot about the people who run it.
Seeing Garip so happy, healthy and clearly loved by the staff has actually made us appreciate this hotel even more. It's a lovely reflection of the kindness and compassion we've experienced throughout our stay.
And judging by the affection he receives from other guests, we're certainly not alone.
So, to the management and every member of staff at Liberty Lara, thank you for a brilliant holiday. Please don't ever underestimate how much the little things, including Garip, contribute to making this place so special.
And to anyone thinking of visiting, don't let one negative review about a dog put you off what is a genuinely wonderful hotel. We'll certainly be back, and when we do, we'll be looking forward to seeing Garip just as much as the rest of the Liberty Lara family!

Great holiday again!
Absolutely one of the best hotels to visit if you want a safe and enjoyable holiday. Great staff and management in this hotel one of the older and smaller hotels on the strip which gives it a great feel compared to the large impersonal ones along the strip. I’m horrified to hear that the hotels legal and fully registered dog Garip has had to be taken out of his home because someone has complained about him. I think the hotel should have relocated the persons who complained about him not the dog who lives here and is cared for by the team so well. As a group who have returned many times due to the great experience, food and standards in this hotel. Well done Liberty a great team who are a credit to your business.
JUSTICE FOR HOTEL DOG GARRIP
This Hotel is the BEST among Lara beach. The staff are incredible and so so friendly. The food is incredible and the whole vibe is amazing.
However, I have recently read a negative review about the hotel dog Garrip. Garrip is a dog fostered by the hotel, HE IS NOT A STRAY!! He is very friendly and totally chilled out, and if you have allergies then perhaps avoid coming to turkey in general as there are many cats around too. This should be no reason to avoid this hotel as he is a very friendly dog who deserves to go about his life and greet all hotel guests as he pleases.
Lovely hotel and friendly staff
Stayed at Liberty Lara for a week. It was our first time visiting Turkey and definitely a good choice in hotel very clean and up to date. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We went for my father’s 50th and they made it truly special with the balloons and towel arrangements which were complimentary. They had a Boho party night which we really enjoyed. Plenty choice in food and often went to the coffee and waffle stands. The food had QR codes for allergies and ingredients which was very helpful and could be changed into your preferred language. Good cocktail list and plenty of fridges to help yourself to fresh cold water and fizzy pop (all branded drinks fanta, sprite, Coca Cola etc.)
