Side Resort Hotel

Where do I start…. I first contacted the hotel prior to arriving to request a quiet room, after a few emails to and from they secured a quiet room and where very accommodating to the request. We were in room 453 which was overlooking the road but with the trees the view was fine for us as we don’t tend to spend much time in the room anyway.

The hotel and surrounding areas: All areas of the hotel are cleaned daily and cleaned to a high standard, at no point in any communal area or private area did I think it was dirty, the cleaning staff were also super friendly. There are some shops, a McDonalds, subway and burger king a short walk away but to get to the marina and old town it is a good 20/25minute walk, although the walk is beautiful as you walked past all the ruins which are lit up at night. Side itself is stunning and I would recommend you visit, there are lots of shops and some amazing restaurants where we ate.

The Room: We had a landview family room which consisted of a kitchenette, bathroom, lounge area with a L shape sofa (two beds) and another bedroom. The balcony was also a very good size. Couldn’t fault anything about the room, it was the perfect size, cleaned to a high standard and both my children (age 16 and 7) were able to fit on the beds without any issues.

The Food: Breakfast was your typical turkey buffet, although it could get busy depending on what time you go. During the day you can eat at the snack bar which consists of burgers, some kind of meat, chips, pasta and pizza. It was not very varied so we also ate in the main restaurant some days which had a good variety. Every evening was varied, there is a different theme each night and every night all the food was hot with lots of choice and was delicious, one of the best All Inclusive food I have experienced and I have been to many. If you want to have a quieter meal I suggest going after 7:30pm as prime time is around 7 and it felt quite chaotic. We had one night at the Italian restaurant, I had the chicken which was dry but other members of the party had pasta which was really good.

The Entertainment: During the day there was all sorts of activities including darts, shooting, water volleyball, water aerobics and many children’s activities which me and my family took part in. What really sets this hotel apart from the rest is the entertainment team, Koray, Esma, Ishmail and the others were amazing! They were eauper friendly and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Despite not winning a single thing I still got myself a t-shirt for No1 Trier which I think was very fitting. The evening entertainment was hit and miss, we never attended the mini disco so can’t comment and only watched a couple of the shows but we were happy to sit in the pool bar with cards and drinks. I did take part in one of the shows and thoroughly enjoyed making a fool of myself on stage.

Bar staff and other staff: I cannot fault the bar staff, they were all amazing! They made fabulous cocktails and were super friendly. Big shout out to Ercan who knew our drinks daily and took the time to make some lovely creations and made us feel welcome, also Mikel who was super fun and kept out drinks topped up. All staff at the hotel were super friendly including the reception staff, life guards and the cleaners.

We never visited the spa or salon, although staff members would give leaflets out but they were never pushy like some are in other hotels.

Overall I actually cannot fault this hotel, I think the entertainment team and staff make this hotel what it is and I want to thank each and everyone of them for making our stay enjoyable, it wouldn’t have been the same without them.

I would 100% recommend anyone who is on the fence to just get this hotel booked, you won’t regret it.

We really enjoyed the sports, dancing and all other activities in the hotel. The food was extraodinary. The rooms were clean and the entertainment staff was very friendly.
