11-night stay – great staff and a good overall experience

We stayed at Le Senza Holiday Resort for 11 nights and overall had a good stay.

The hotel itself is very large and the rooms are a good size. The beds are slightly on the firm side, but our room was cleaned every single day to a very good standard. The cleaners work incredibly hard and were always lovely and friendly.

The food is good, although it can become a little repetitive over an 11-night stay. That said, there was always something we wanted to eat, so we certainly never went hungry! The desserts deserve a special mention because they look absolutely phenomenal. There’s a huge selection and the presentation is fantastic.

The drinks are okay. The cocktails tend to be quite sweet, but obviously that comes down to personal taste.

For me, the staff are one of the biggest positives of this hotel. Every single member of staff works extremely hard throughout the day. From the restaurant staff constantly clearing plates and glasses and cleaning tables, to the cleaners, bar staff, pool staff and everyone else behind the scenes — they really don’t stop. If I could have tipped every single one of them, I would have done.

A special shout-out to Enes from the animation team, who is a really nice young man, and Sila on reception, who was always smiling, friendly and accommodating.

Also, a big recommendation for Ibrahim, the hotel activities guy who organises the day trips. Definitely go and speak to him! He’s very knowledgeable and organised a brilliant day trip for us to the caves, which included water fights. It was absolutely hilarious and genuinely some of the best fun I’ve had in ages! A real highlight of the holiday.

Before coming here, I read quite a few reviews saying that the cleaners don’t clean properly or that the bar staff are unfriendly. That was not my experience at all. I found the staff friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The bar staff even gave me the nickname “Mr G&T”, which probably tells you everything you need to know! 😂 So I would say don’t be put off by every negative review you read — come and experience it for yourself and take it as you find it.

The main downside for me is the location. There isn’t a great deal within walking distance outside the hotel. There are some shops and restaurants, but not a huge amount. If you’re looking for somewhere where you can walk straight out into a busy town with lots going on, this probably isn’t the best location. However, if you mainly want to relax around the hotel, enjoy the sunshine, eat and drink, then it’s absolutely fine.

Would I come back? Probably not — but not because it’s a bad hotel. I’ve experienced it now and there are plenty of other places in the world I’d like to visit.

Overall, depending on what you’re looking for, it’s a good hotel. It’s clean, you’re well fed, you’ve got plenty to drink, the weather is hot, and most importantly, the people working there put in a tremendous amount of effort to make sure guests have a good holiday.

All in all, not bad at all — and full marks to the staff.

This hotel claims they are 5 star, by any stretch of the imagination it is clearly not. It’s 2 to 3 star at best! Regarding previous reviews stating that the reception staff are rude, I can absolutely confirm this! Obviously the management know this but choose to ignore it because the hotel is full most of the time however when times are hard and Turkey is heading that way because of price increases they may regret this because there will be no repeat business- a strange business model to allow hotel staff to be consistently rude to paying guests ? The food is average and is ok. The drinks are served at a bar and would be much better if it was self service as it was hard to get served at busy times. Sunbeds were easy to find but I expect it would be a problem at peak times. This hotel could be really great but it seems to be badly run with low morale and it shows in the staff attitude. I would suggest that there are much better options for the price and would not return.
