I would especially like to mention the hotel staff. Everyone was incredibly polite, attentive, and worked together as a great team. 👍🏼
I would like to thank the hotel management and the entire Agaya team for making our stay so enjoyable.
A special thank you to Pelin, Madina, and İlhan! You are all amazing. Thank you for everything! 👍🏼🤝
We have just returned home after a wonderful 10 night stay at Agaya Bodrum and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Yes the rooms are a little dated but clean and practical. The hotel has such a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind - can be noisy between 10pm-12pm for the evening entertainment, if you are one who enjoys an early night this may be a little issue but this did not bother us personally. The staff were outstanding—always attentive, friendly, and genuinely happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was delicious throughout, and it was great to have branded spirits/bottled beers (soft included) The boat taxi from the beachfront is a brilliant bonus. At just 200 Turkish lira per person, it takes you straight into Bodrum town and runs from 8am until 1am, making it an easy and affordable way to explore. As a gay male couple, we also wanted to mention how welcomed and accepted we felt. I know this can sometimes cause issues when searching for hotels but we were treated with kindness and respect throughout our stay and never once felt uncomfortable from staff or other guests. A fantastic hotel with excellent service, great food and drinks, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. We'd happily and will return! Bodrum is beautiful! Thanks guys! We are staying here currently and I think this hotel needs an honest review. The facilities are lively, the view is beautiful and the staff are a dream. However, the room is very tired - we paid extra for a sea view but that also means you are directly above the entertainment - which starts at 9.30 and goes on until midnight and it’s LOUD. So loud that the single glass panel door doesn’t do anything. So we just have to accept that we won’t sleep until very late! The cupboards are broken and the flooring is weathered. Not 5*. The fitness suite is very dated and the machinery is bordering on dangerous - I know it probably doesn’t get very well used but it needs attention. The food is amazing, plenty of choice and again, the staff are wonderful and attentive. All in all we are having a great time but the rooms need an overhaul.
A good hotel. One of the best in Bodrum. There's a boat taxi right next to the hotel that takes you to the city bay. It's also a leisurely 15-20-minute walk to the city center. The food is very good. The alcohol is good too. There's a Russian-speaking manager Madina. Some of the hotel staff also speak Russian. No children, and there's a live music evening every night with good music (for a hotel). I'll definitely come back
THE STAFF are what makes this hotel 5 *
This is our 2nd time to this hotel. We thought with the change of name it might’ve had a refurb. It hasn’t. It’s all very tired. the attention to detail is missing, broken tiles, cigarette butts on the floor, icecream spills on floor and tables not cleaned all day, messy paint touch ups, we wondered if Stevie Wonder was in charge of the maintenance!
Fab location - a 5 min water taxi to Bodrum town is great and right on the doorstep, though Bodrum and its fakes are pretty expensive these days. But like all Turks the shop keepers are very friendly. The view from the front across the water is amazing.
Food is very good, buffet with lots of fresh salads, fruit and choices. (Better than last year.) The garden bar/ restaurant is really good too with table service. Al acarte , a nice change. Only all inc we’ve been to that doesn’t have 24 hrs food unless you count the cakes. (I don’t) The drinks are good, lots of choice and well made. But if you don’t eat by 4.30pm you have to wait until 7pm for dinner.
Sea front is a little shabby and in need of a new jetty, sun beds not very comfy. The sun umbrella next to us blew over one day and the prong went right through a lounger, luckily there was no one on it. It could’ve been fatal! We avoided the front on breezy days. The sand area smells, this might be down to the cats using it as a litter tray. HOWEVER The kitties are one of the reasons we love it here, they are so cute and enjoyed by most of the guests and fed well. Adorable. 🥰
The pool area has very nice beds, but we never saw the pool being cleaned and there’s dirt on the bottom. Another guest cut their foot, glasses allowed around the pool which is lovely, but dangerous. Most importantly the best Barman. Sadik - he made our holiday exceptional, he looks after all his customers, he’s a 10/10 cocktail mixer. A sweet lad. We wish him well for the future, he has a bright one, with such a sweet nature. The reception, seafront and restaurant staff also absolutely amazing. No need to use the QR code for drinks they are attentive and prompt. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH ❤️
However, THE WORST ENTERTAINMENT EVER! Having holidayed in Turkey for 30 years, we’ve never experienced such awful music. The acts are particularly poor compared to what we have seen elsewhere. But it’s the music they blast out afterwards it nearly ruined our holiday! SHOCKING! We were on the 2nd floor( last year floor 6 so a little quieter) - not sea view thank god! It’s over 16’s NOT 18-30!!! There is no dance floor, but the techno crap they blast so loudly means you can’t even converse with the person next to you. We just went to bed at 8PM after dinner with ear plugs in! Music finished at 12 midnight!!!
We met some lovely people, and we all had an amazing time, but we all felt the loudness of the entertainment so late was the only major drawback and a possible reason not to return. There is no need for such loudness of terrible music. The music played in the restaurants from dawn to dusk although easy listening was just too repetitive the same track over and over, how the poor staff bear it each day I do not know!
Overall, we had an amazing holiday. Thank you. Agaya, please do a revamp and turn down the music!
