Jasmin Beach Hotel

Gumbet

The hotel is located in Gumbet, approximately 800 metres from the centre and just 30 metres from the beach. The cosmopolitan resort of Bodrum, with its castle and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, is approximately 3 km away. Guests will find shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife around 400 metres from the hotel. The complex consists of 2- and 3-storey white cube blocks, typical of the local style, set amidst well-maintained gardens. Pretty, brightly-coloured bougainvillea creep up the sides of the buildings in this popular apartment hotel. With 259 rooms in total, the establishment offers a rich variety of services and facilities. There is a choice of 3 outdoor pools and the hotel also has its own section of the sandy beach approximately 30 metres away where sun loungers and parasols can be hired. Guests are welcome to pamper themselves with a massage or SPA treatment.

Lovely family holiday

We - a family of four, 3 adults one 6 year old - went to Jasmin Beach 27th July-6th August. We stayed in one of the older rooms which had everything we needed. However the beds were a bit hard and our 19 year found the day bed very uncomfortable. We only used the main pool area which was fine. We never had a problem getting a sun bed at any time of day but people were putting towels out very early, no idea why! The water slides were good but the landing pool could've been a bit deeper. We would sometimes hit floor with our feet. Our 6 year old got kicked a few times as some of the lifeguards would send kids down before it was clear at bottom.

We only went to the beach once.

Restaurant: Breakfast we mainly just stuck to pancakes, toast or pastries. Lunch and dinner was fine. We always found something to eat. The only problem was waiting for the food to cook at the grill because people would take lots. We ate twice at the al a carte. The food was lovely but you do have to pay for drinks.

There are a good range of drinks available in the bars including cocktails and kids cocktails too.

We had a Turkish bath at the spa which I would highly recommend as relaxing and definitely worth the money. Make sure you have it on your first day to get a better tan.

The staff are all friendly. The cleaner came in every day; the sheets were changed every couple of days. Ann at Guest Relations is brilliant! She will do anything to help you. She also loves wine gums lol!

Can't say much else. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel. We will definitely come back again.

Fantastic holiday, lovely hotel and fantastic staff!

Just got home from a 10 day holiday at the Jasmin Beach and I want to leave a very fair review. On the lead up to the holiday we were reading the other reviews on trip advisor and I think they have done this hotel an injustice. On arrival we were allocated 4 rooms, unfortunately my sisters room wasn’t suitable for her and her children however we were very impressed with how quickly this was rectified by Ann and the team! Once sorted, all of our rooms were faultless. Modern, clean and good sizes. The cleaners are amazing and I have to say, this is the first hotel I’ve stayed in where your towels are replenished daily! The staff are fantastic, we found everyone to be extremely friendly - particularly the bar team! They go above and beyond to make your holiday feel really special. Drinks are standard all inclusive - beer, spirits and a handful of cocktails with soft drinks including Pepsi, 7 up and Fanta they even had slush machines on the all inclusive for 1 hour each morning. While the bar service was great we didn’t like the paper cups that continually leaked everywhere. Food, this was our biggest worry before arriving based on the reviews, our party was large and consisted of 2 children and a vegan so we have very specific needs.. we all ate incredibly well and none of us could fault the food! There was something everyone could eat. Our only criticism about the restaurant was how busy it would get and it was sometimes a problem trying to get a table. Through the day there are plenty of snack bars including fresh pizzas and ice creams being served on the all inclusive at the terrace pool! We did have one free meal at jimmys restaurant and it was good, he was able to adapt the menu to meet our needs and the cocktails up there were great and really well priced. We loved the terrace pool, it was a lot less intense than the main pool and had great facilities for the kids. We found sunbeds did get reserved up there a bit quicker than the main pool though. We also loved the beach and again those sunbeds are free to use however, they also get reserved quickly. The beach is reasonably clean with a small amount of litter. There are lots of dogs on the beach but as massive dog lovers we enjoyed their company! The slides are open for 2 hours a day, one hour in the morning and another in the afternoon. While the slides are great fun, we did feel that activity on them could have been monitored more closely - one member of our party had another guest land on him as they had been allowed down to soon after. With the children in our party we enjoyed the evening entertainment however some nights were better than others. The kids loved the mini disco as well as rubber man & break dancing. A couple of evenings were more in house like karaoke or audience participation, we would chose to go downstairs to the aquarium bar and enjoy the sofas on those evenings. The location of this hotel is fantastic with easy access in to Gumbet on foot along the beach or via the taxi rank out the front of the hotel. Additionally, the Dolmus stops right out the front of the hotel providing easy access to Bodrum also. All in all, this is a good hotel in a great location that is being let down by bad reviews, we will be back! Thank you all of the team at Jasmin Beach!

If I ever come to Gumbet again, I will never come here.

We spent our holiday at the Jasmin Bach Hotel. The reception service, service, pool, and location were good, but we didn't like the food. It was greasy, stale, and cold; the same cycle every day. The taste and quality were very bad, and the cleanliness was terrible. If I come to Gumbet again, I will consider this hotel. I will not come to this hotel again; we went hungry.

Summer holiday

Stayed July 26 with my daughter and friends. We had 3 rooms between us. My room was perfectly located by the main pool, bar and restaurant number 123. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. There was water left in the room daily and coffee replenishment daily. The pool was a good size and my daughter enjoyed the water slides. I was worried about the food after the reviews but we ate well and found the food good. I e planned to eat out on an evening but only did so twice. We visited the ala cart terrace restaurant once which was really good. The disappointment for us was the evening entertainment. They had karaoke 3 nights of our 10 and as the majority of guests were Turkish so was the majority of entertainment. It was lovely to watch the Turkish dancing and enjoying their traditional dances I don’t deny that at all but being English we did not join in and found it repetitive. The daytime entertainment was poor. Same thing every day and no engagement from the entertainment team. They were the absolute opposite of the pushy you get out and about and didn’t even acknowledge you. We found ourselves in bed before 11 most evenings. Gumbet itself was extremely dirty. Rubbish left everywhere along the beach and walking areas, I felt this really let it down and I saw very few bins around which did not help. The hotel was nice but it was not for us and we would not return.

An ok hotel, it's what you make of it!

Just arrived back from a 7nights stay. Arrived late evening, just before 23:00, which allowed us time for a quick all inc drink before heading to our room. Once in our family room to settle to sleep, there was a smell, stale tabaco/foisty smell. Whether we were the first in that room for the season I'm unsure, however by the end of the first day the smell had disappeared. All inc food, I'd say typical of turkey, however the other half argued & said he'd say its was more repteative than others we've stayed at. So much so, he actually got excited about a jacket potatoe one day!! Lol. Non of the food was labelled regarding allergies,y son has a nut allergy and I am coeliac (most awkward family to have round for dinner!!), so we were very paranoid. Luckily he didn't require his epi pen, just needed his piriton twice. The other half booked an exercise massage, 4 massages (one 2 days in a row with a days break) he found this great value & benifited greatly. He's never had his neck crack before! & his back cracked in places it's never cracked before. Entertainment was dire! 😢 Suns beds plenty. Pools lovely. It's was let down by the slides only being open for an hour twice a day?! Slush was only available an hour a day (we've been to other hotels where it's available all day) ice cream only available an hour a day (again disappointed, as else where ice creams have been available all day). Beach ok, felt put off by the stray dogs on the beach. Boat trip was amazing and enjoyed the water sports. Didn't like how they tried to get you to go into every bar, shop and so forth. We've been to other areas of Turkey & never have had such pushy sellers, so much so I felt unsafe. Oh, even though our room was turned down, cleaned every day & fresh towels they never emptied the bin in the bathroom?! They did the bedroom bins. Now considering they like you to put toilet paper in bin & for me & my daughter it was time of the month, it would of been a nasty empty once we'd checked out!! We enjoyed our holiday but would not return, either to hotel or the area.
