Kadikale Resort Hotel

We had such a fantastic holiday here and overall, we were really impressed with the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely, with a great atmosphere and plenty of facilities to keep you entertained throughout your stay.

The food was another highlight for us. There was a really good variety available each evening, with different options to suit different tastes. Even on the nights where nothing particularly took our fancy, there was always the reliable option of chips and watermelon! We never felt like we were going hungry and thought the overall choice was very good for an all-inclusive hotel. There is icecream served from 3-5 in the day with it also being a patisserie serving baked goods. There is also a snack/beach bar serving all inclusive meals made to order. Food was hot and very nice portions including Chicken doner kebab and pizza.

Our room was cleaned every day and was kept to a decent standard throughout our stay. The only small issue was that we were a group of three but were initially only provided with two sets of towels. This wasn't a major problem at all, as we simply popped down to reception and they provided us with extra towels straight away.

The main downside for us was unfortunately the animation team. We appreciate that engaging with guests and promoting the hotel's activities is part of their job, and some of the team were friendly and entertaining. However, at times they could be quite pushy, particularly when promoting the evening VIP party. Even after we had clearly said that we weren't interested, we were approached about it several times.

More concerning was our experience when we first arrived. We were a group of younger girls and a few of the male members of the animation team were extremely persistent about meeting us on the beach after they had finished work. On one occasion, one of them put his phone number into my phone and subsequently texted and called me multiple times throughout the holiday. Eventually, I felt uncomfortable enough and remove and block the number.

We completely understand that the animation team are there to have fun, socialise with guests and create a lively atmosphere, and initially we took it in that spirit. However, it became too much towards the end, and we eventually had to be quite direct and tell them to leave us alone. We are confident and strong-minded enough to speak up when we feel uncomfortable, but we did think about how this could affect someone who was younger, more vulnerable or less confident in saying no. In that situation, the behaviour could potentially feel quite intimidating, and we do think the hotel should be mindful of where the line is between friendly interaction and making guests feel uncomfortable.

That being said, we don't want this to overshadow what was otherwise a brilliant holiday. The entertainment itself was actually really good. The shows put on by the animation team were funny, entertaining and suitable for both children and adults, while the live music on several evenings was particularly enjoyable. There was also a great range of daytime activities, including aqua aerobics, yoga, Zumba and darts, as well as a mini disco for children in the evenings.

Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would definitely say that the animation team was the only real downside for us. Once we'd made it clear that we weren't interested in getting involved, we simply kept to ourselves and enjoyed everything else the hotel had to offer. The drinks were strong, the atmosphere was great, the food was plentiful and there was plenty to do. Despite the issues with the animation team, it certainly didn't ruin our holiday, and we left having had a really enjoyable time.

The hotel photographer was also there to capture everything and took stunning photos of our special moment—we highly recommend using their services! To top it all off, the evening entertainment was always a good laugh and a great way to end each night.

Animation squad are a bunch or creeps and like to seek out young girls. And the food will give you diarrhea. Half of our group ended up with really bad stomachs after a couple of days. It is a great location but the food and most importantly the animation team let the hotel down. Also they did blackface and were homophobics in their shows.
