The luxurious La Blanche Resort & Spa is located on 22,000 m2 in a frontline situation in Turgutreis on the western tip of the Bodrum peninsula, enjoying magnificent views of the eternal blue of the Aegean Sea, the beautiful sunsets and the Greek islands of Kalymnos, Pserimos and Kos. The centre of Turgutreis with shopping opportunities and a marina can be reached within a 15-minute walk. The elegant hotel has direct access to a golden sandy beach and offers a 1,600 m2 man-made lagoon, unique in Turkey. Guests preferring to swim in the pool will have a 1,800 m2 botanic pool at their disposal, the centrepiece of the complex. Guests can choose between a large variety of excellent services and amenities, including a fantastic spa with hammam, sauna and massage treatments, various restaurants with Turkish, Mediterranean and Chinese cuisine as well as several bars and a mini-club for younger guests.

Absolutely disgusting
La Blanche resort was terrible. It was the second time going with my wife and family as we enjoyed it last year. This year however, it was completely different. The animation team was non existent until asking for 5 star reviews, and if you mentioned anything bad about the place they would stonewall you. I was offered a free 10 minute massage which I reluctantly accepted as I was going to enjoy the sauna. After the 10 minutes was up, the bloke told the masseuse to leave the room and I was basically locked in the room until I said yes to pay for a full massage, to which he also lied about the price. Guest services did something about the situation but not enough. Just imagine if he locked himself with a woman in the room next time! I will never visit this hotel again and have being put off going on holiday. I wouldn’t visit this place again even if I got paid for it, it’s absolutely disgusting how they treat guests.
Not as good as last year
We came last year and it was 5/5 absolutely amazing! Had the best time ever. However this year wasn’t so great. The reception staff were amazing& put me& my family in rooms close to eachother which was so lovely of them, the rooms were stunning what we had, you could tell they had some work done in the past year. Beautiful rooms& a stunning view. However the animation team wasn’t great. You didn’t actually know who the animation team were apart from 2 people. Now and again you’d hear them shout for the activities but never really tried to get anyone involved. The evening entertainment was good but repeats itself week after week so it’s quite boring if your there for 7+ nights. Last year the animation team was amazing, they all spoke to you, all made themselves known& had a good chat with you. This year they were very selective who they spoke to. We had issues yet again with the spa with pricing etc… however a complaint to guest services solved that issue within 24 hours& was rectified. After this issue everything in the spa department was fine. Guest services were lovely again this year& very welcoming. As we are returning guests you were supposed to receive a returning guest package which we never received. We explained to guest services& we got it 4 days into the holiday. The hotel itself is beautiful, amazing location, the food was so much better this year with more variety& over all we had a lovely holiday. I know you can’t please everyone however the animation/ entertainment side of things needs improving as again day time entertainment was nearly non existent. All of the bar staff are lovely in all of the bar areas& restaurant areas as-well. The rooms get cleaned once a day however I don’t actually know what they do. We had one day where no toilet rolls was filled up, floors wasn’t cleaned& things didn’t get stocked up. The à la carte restaurants were lovely yet again. The Chinese restaurant was open this year and it was lovely, when it’s getting chilly they come round and offer you a blanket to keep you warm/ warmer. Over all we had a lovely holiday& I would definitely return, some areas just need a bit of work.

Cannot wait to come back only 4 weeks later
The staff at the hotel are amazing. They are so hard working and professional and friendly. The hotel is much bigger than we thought it would be be, the only time we noticed it was in the main restaurant when it was busy and the accoustics made it feel noisy at times perhaps a design fault. But we loved our holiday so much and the hotel itself that we are coming back four weeks later. We cannot wait to see all the staff again and have some of the delicious food, from breakfast love the omelettes - through to afternoon cakes then dinner, trying all the local cheeses, olives and dips as well as hot dishes, the choice is amazing and a chance to try foods that you don’t get at home. Nearly forgot about the cocktails, delicious of course. Despite the hotel being large the vibe is quite chilled out as there are so many different venues to visit.

Lovely week away
The hotel is lovely everything is close but does not feel claustrophobic so easy walking. Very accessible and clean. All staff are very friendly, animation is very nice especially Maria and chat to you but are not pushy for you to join in with games and just want you to have a good time. Was looking forward to pool games like water polo but this was not available this season. The food is brilliant and such a variety and à la carte are good. The lunch sea front bar is very good for food and very quick at serving with fresh hot food! Overall a lovely hotel and a close walk to the town centre for shops and bars. The pool is very long and not crowded so very refreshing. Rooms are nice and clean. Would definitely come back.

Nice hotel
The hotel is clean, well looked after, and generally very well maintained.
The music is the same every day and could definitely do with being changed up. The music in the morning in particular can be quite boring, so having a wider variety would make a difference.
The animation team are all very friendly and polite and regularly come around to invite guests to join in with activities. Maria was especially lovely and took the time to come and chat with us, see how our holiday was going, and let us know about the activities taking place.
However, most of the activities are held away from the pool. We prefer to spend our time in or around the pool, so unfortunately we don’t tend to join in. Last year, there were games and activities in the pool every day, which we really enjoyed. It would be great to see more pool-based activities again.
The food is good, both in the buffet restaurant and the Turkish restaurant.
Our room is clean and well maintained, and the maids do a fantastic job keeping everything tidy.
The bar staff are also very friendly and always make great drinks.
Overall, we are enjoying our holiday and appreciate the hard work of all the staff.
