Relaxing break

We have just arrived home after spending 2 weeks here. We travelled as a family of 3 and had 2 rooms. We were worried about previous bad reviews but we were totally surprised. We were in block 24 which was the furthest away and had 2 rooms ground floor facing the hillside so no view. Rooms are dated but very clean and big. Our bath was not great as the enamel was peeling off so stuck to the shower. The maintenance guy was so helpful and friendly going above to sort problems. Food we found ok we always found something to eat although found it strange no ice cream in restaurant . The pancakes are the best we have had and a lovely lady making them. Ice creams at the snack bar also lovely. Pools were nice and deep and no sunbed wars was lovely to not be up at 4am to get a bed . The whole surroundings are stunning and so peaceful. We only stayed at the pool at the snack bar as the dolphin pool bar didnt open till 1pm which I find very late so avoided . Staff are friendly and helpful ,only came across one barman who was rude and shouted 'no ice' at me when I asked to have ice in my drink then walked off. Put me off a bit so I sent my husband after that . Had a lovely sweedish massage so relaxing definitely recommend. All in all we had a lovely relaxing break which was what we were aiming for and would 100% return .

What a great hotel. Nothing to moan about here.

We had a fabulous week long break at the Montana pine resort. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were all fantastic and the location was just beautiful.

Food I will start with this as I know there has been some criticism. We are not the easiest group to cater for. I’m veggie with a peanut allergy and one daughter is a recently diagnosed coeliac. Despite this there was never a day where we had nothing to choose from. I will admit that the choice is less than some other all inclusive hotels I have been to but they are also much bigger hotels where the personal touch is lost. Here the food is fresh, tasty and enjoyable. The lovely Bashir (hope I have spelt that correctly) went out of his way to make sure my daughter had options - even getting the chef to cook her something special one night. The à la carte meal was also amazing but did not seem to offer all of the gluten free options specified on the menu on the board so be wary of that if booking as a coeliac.

Pools

They were great. We spent most time at the ege pool which was shallower than the marmara and quieter than the dolphin and had a lovely time on our inflatables and throwing a ball around. Pools were refreshing but not freezing.

Room

Was clean and entirely functional. Not the most modern but nice. The hotel is not ultra modern but more quaint and comfortable in terms of vibe. We had a triple room with an amazing view of the mountains. We did not pay extra for that. I think we were just lucky. There are rooms that did not have such great views but that’s the chance you take. It was comfortably sized for three and the shower was great. Always hot (if wanted), a good pressure and a nice lip which stops everything in the room getting wet which I really appreciated. I hate a wet room!

Gym

This was ok. I would say if you are a dedicated fitness fanatic it probably won’t serve all needs but I managed for a week. It was cool, there were a few machines - the cross trainer and running machines were fine. The bikes were poor. Don’t expect too much but you can get a decent workout. There were also weights but again not a full range.

Bars

There is only one main bar and a couple of pool bars. The drinks are nice - cocktails are better in the evenings and the beer and wine was fine. Lots of soft drink options. My only criticism is the juices were nose horrible watered down juices. Not good at all hotel of this quality.

Overall. We had a really fab holiday made by the lovely staff who were professional but warm and friendly without exception. There are not many places I would consider going back to but this is one. Oh and the photographer there was great. See my poor quality pics of his fab pictures!

2nd time visit and no regrets!

We visited 23rd - 29th July.

First off - I feel guilty for not writing a review last year. We went pretty much the exact same time last year with another couple, stayed in superior valley rooms (the lower block of accommodation on the hotel grounds) and we had a wonderful stay. Never stayed at the same hotel twice and, if honest, never really understood people that did. This place converted us though - and this year we came back with our two adult daughters and their partners.

This time we stayed in the middle block of accommodation and the footprint of bedroom might be slightly smaller than than the superior valley room, but the bathroom felt more spacious and the wraparound balcony we had (room 1315) was significantly bigger which was lovely in the evening sun. It never felt like a "downgrade" compared with the superior room, as each had their own merits when comparing with our last visit.

During our stay, the hotel didn't feel like it was at capacity. I think this year, Turkiye, Egypt and Dubai are struggling to get the same level of visits due to the uncertainty around Iran, and the hotel was noticeably quieter than last year. To reflect this, it sounds like the hotel, being prudent, had made some changes to operations and staffing where they could in a way that would make the least impact on guests. The entertainment team is smaller than last year, but still good - and as you will see on socials, always posting about darts, air rifle shooting, aqua gym, archery etc. Lots to do.

The Ege bar (upper pool bar) had different operating hours this year than last (not open at 10:00...more like 14:30) - but this was only the most minor of inconveniences as it meant a small number of steps down to the pool bar below it.

Food options were still varied and we have to remember it's Turkiye, not England so sometimes one of the meat options might be something you'd not normally be a fan of at home like pan-fried liver, or perhaps kofte meatballs, but all really nice. Our youngest daughter is a veggie and she loved the range of options. The other 5 people in our party ate well too.

Evening entertainment was good, though a little short-lived. Some music/disco either side would have gone down well - it felt like you turned up for the show which might light 30-60 minutes depending on what theme it was, then that was it. We always take games aborad with us though so this didn't both us. It might for some.

The staff were fantastic and all are fluent enough in English to understand you easily. Our room was kept immaculately clean. Pease try the gozleme pancakes made by the lady near the upper pool in the afternoons. Lenon and sugar one is to die for and the savoury options with cheese also great. Sunset viewing point is stunning - yes there is no bar there anymore, but you can carry a drink up there with you and take in a stunning sunset.

There is the occasional wasp in the outside dining area....we have these in the UK too. If you look hard enough you will always find something to criticise with anyhting in life but I couldn't say anything worthy of removing a star from my review.

The only negative for us was that on the last day of our stay, my wife lost a diamond stone from her eternity ring. The staff were brilliant in trying to help us, both at reception, and the cleaning team - sadly it was not found. It could have fell out anywhere.

We have visited Turkiye so many times over the last 10-15 years, that next year we will look to explore some other places instead. However, when we decide to come back, Montana Pine will definitely be a strong contender. Never thought I'd stasy in the same place twice - but this place with its' stunning views, great location and relaxed atmosphere is perfect for those wanting to take a well-earned break from work and enjoying the benefits of an all-inclusive break.

Pro tip - you can book late checkouts, but you can also book a 30 minute slot in a shower room for your last day instead if you prefer. You can even do this on the day you arrive if you like to be organised

Top recommendation - visit the Teleferik (Cable Cars) if you can. The views are like nothing I have ever seen before. If you go in the evening and time the sunset right, you will have memories that last a lifetime. Ladies - consider taking a cardi with you as it can be quite cool up there in the late evening (open till 10pm).

Great hotel- highly recommend

I was a bit sceptical coming here on holiday after seeing the bad reviews, but I honestly believe those negative comments are just petty and completely unfounded.

The food is good with multiple options, and the Turkish-themed dinner was a real highlight—you certainly won't have any issues finding something you like. The people complaining must live on a diet of beans on toast! My wife who can be an incredibly fussy eater, had a variety of foods on her plate and cleared every plate. The pancakes are fantastic and you will not be disappointed. The ice cream is also a good addition.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the housekeepers did a great job. The staff were all fantastic; I never had a single issue with anyone being rude. The bar staff and entertainment team were especially good and really made the evenings special.

The location is fantastic—quiet with amazing views. It’s a 15-minute walk to the local town, though I’d recommend getting a taxi back as it’s all uphill (a taxi costs about 350 Turkish lira). The cable cars are about a 10-minute taxi ride away (or you could walk it if you're feeling brave!), which is well worth it, and the hotel provides a free shuttle to the beach.

The wildlife area is a wonderful addition and although the sun set bar was closed we still enjoyed a quiet drink up there at different points throughout the day. The hotel takes great care of the cats by providing food and water throughout the resort.

We never had any issues finding a sunbed, which was impressive considering we went during peak season. There are three swimming pools, all refreshing and clean.

If you’d like your photo taken, talk to the photographer based in the hotel reception (I can't remember his name!). The photos he takes are amazing and incredibly cheap.

For the price you pay, you really can't go wrong. We're already looking forward to our next stay.

Thank you, Montana Pine, for an unforgettable holiday!

A Well-Run Resort with a Lovely Atmosphere

Montana Pines is a well-run, clean, and welcoming resort that delivers a relaxed atmosphere and consistently strong service. It offers an easy, enjoyable holiday experience with a calm, unhurried vibe that makes it simple to unwind.

⸻

Strengths

The staff are a genuine highlight of the hotel – hardworking, friendly, and consistently willing to help. In particular, Mert and Emre in the bar stood out for their excellent service and warm, engaging personalities, which truly enhanced our stay.

The grounds are beautifully maintained, contributing to the resort’s peaceful and well-kept feel. Evening entertainment is enjoyable without being intrusive, striking a good balance for guests seeking a relaxed holiday environment.

The food is varied, with plenty of choice available throughout the week, offering enough diversity to suit most tastes.

The Crocus Spa is also well worth a visit. It offers a good range of treatments at very reasonable prices, and the staff are welcoming, professional and efficient. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing massage or a little pampering, they do an excellent job of helping you unwind and melt away the stresses of everyday life.

⸻

Minor Drawbacks

There are a few areas where the resort shows its age. Some rooms are slightly dated and would benefit from refurbishment to better reflect the overall quality of the hotel.

The hillside layout also means that certain rooms require a steep walk, which may be less suitable for guests with mobility concerns.

We also experienced occasional wasp activity in the outdoor dining areas, particularly during the evening. While this is understandable and outside the hotel’s control, it was a minor inconvenience at times.

The Wi-Fi could also be a little inconsistent. It worked well in some areas but could be hit and miss at times, particularly during busier periods.

⸻

Conclusion

These minor issues do not detract significantly from what is otherwise a very enjoyable stay. With some thoughtful updates to the rooms and improvements to the Wi-Fi, Montana Pines would easily move from very good to outstanding. We would be very happy to return.
